I was breifly looking into being a careflight pilot, but i cant find much information about them. Just stories on the news and other irrevelent info. I was told they have a pager and are on call 24/7, and have to live within so many miles from their dispatch hosipital, also are paid the 24 hours a day that they are on call, even if they havent been called. My question though is what is the average sallary for a carefligh pilot, and what is life like being one?
There's also Angel Flight. I don't think you get paid. Basically you shuttle people around to and from their doctor's office who can't easily get there. You get flight time and possibly the cost reimbursed.
