Izzie, good luck today, England v Slovenia, I hope your boys will do you proud. Been watching Wimbledon and the sun was shining brightly in London, hope you got a bit as well in your knack of the woods. How is F/Q's father in law doing?

How be you, Ms. Iz? Soccer? Tennis?
Glad you and the kids enjoyed the sailing.
I've been working too hard.
Sold my mother's bracelet yesterday. Got a good price. One more month I can pay the rent. Gonna buy some new underwear, too.
Ah Boida - yep - had the best time taking the kids sailing yesterday – can’t put up the proper pics but here’s the gist –
it’s so beautiful there, it was about 22 degrees and hardly a cloud in the sky. The kids had such a good time, the big kidz just as good. I spoke to BOB today (great name for a sailing instructor a?) and he said “after we finished yesterday we got together and said that your school is the best school we have ever had” - how happy is that – they loved the kids enthusiasm and courage – the lake/dam is big (well, you know, by UK standards) and we got all ‘ceptin about 2 kidlets to capsize their dinghy’s and float out in the middle of lake. Wish I could show you their photos... but can’t. When we capsized them, they have to clamber over the top of the dinghy and then climb over and “walk the plank” – they were tremendous.
Anyhoooooo – really uber busy at work – there are so many activities going on that it’s hard to keep up – Sport’s Day on Friday and we’re going to have hot weather (simply can’t believe how good the weather is here).
MaMa and PaPa have been in the river again and PaPa is concreting where the river bank has collapsed – there’s a giant hole going back towards the house – the river is no more than about 10-12 feet from the house – so whilst it is low and we have a good break in the weather – the concrete and chippings are going in.
So, all in all, things are OK with me apart from my tummy which has decided on it’s own terms to re-eat my insides. Nem’mind.
So, the tennis is still going – MAHUT v ISNER – the scoreboard has stopped working – they are tied at the 5th set and they are 59 - 58 games – outstanding... and so it continues – how are they are still continuing. The match duration so far is 9 hours and 45 mins (they played a few hours yesterday before bad light stopped the match)
maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.... play suspended at 59 games all and they're off for an ice bath Now they have to come back again tomorrow to finish the match... they'll be knackered tonight
I used to go to the US. Open back in the day when my friend could get corporate seats. We're talking a long time ago. Saw Borg, Connors, McEnroe, Navatilova, Evert, etc. Love dat tennis.
Oh gosh Boida, I've never been to a really big mahousive match before - which is daft because I used to work in Wimbledon (top of the hill, company called CHAM Ltd opposite the Rose & Crown) - ha - that was 23 years ago - blooooooody hellllll!
Do so love the game - not really a footie fan but I'm definitely a patriotic gal. Verra verra glad that Federer won his match today - now he is my swoon factor plus some...... ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh mmmmmm mmmmm good!
So, Boida, new undies... <ahem> shan't ask for details ...
but...
wooooo hooooooooooo for new knickers
((((((Boida))))))))
Wondering how Missy's second day at work went - hoping she's gonna check in a little later.
Must go to bed at a decent hour tonight - gotta pick the little fella up who comes back from Brittany at 11.30pm tomorrow. Still have some work to do tonight too - so should really be cracking on with that - but hey - indulged in sport watching today - and really enjoyed it
BEAgle - are you up yet? or still zzzzzzzzzzzing. Heck, with the match that's just been, even if you'd gone to bed it would still have been going when you woke up!!!!!!
