Morning crew. Impressed by the Harbourmaster's pictures, very colourful indeed, thanks for posting. London, a great place to be.
Hi Izzie, wish K's father all the best, once he has had the operation he'll be a new man, I know from experience, been there done that 13 years ago! Quadruple by-pass and still going strong albeit a little slower at the moment.
Being house bound to some extent I'm glad the Wimbledon tennis starts tonight so will be watching the play live on TV, they always show highlights of London which makes it interesting.

First a recognition of "the Brit's" photos. All fantastic, London, but the one with which I best identify is Dirty Dancing.
Mountain Lake.
In 1987, the low-budget release 'Dirty Dancing' came out of nowhere, becoming a massive box office hit and the gold standard for musically-themed romance movies. Set in 1963, the film follows 17-year-old Frances "Baby" Houseman (Jennifer Grey) as she vacations with her parents at Kellerman's Resort in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Bored and looking for something to do, Baby discovers that the resort's dance instructor, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) has an off-hours habit of dancing ... dirty. Baby soon finds herself entangled in Castle's world, much to the chagrin of her disapproving father, leading to the film's famous climax, where Johnny and Baby dance to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes' 'I've Had The Time of My Life.'
It is here that my husband and I met Sam Shepherd and Jessica Lang. It's a beautiful place and the lake itself suddenly sprang up from below the earth's
cellar.
Prayers also for the man who will have by-pass surgery.
"prayer is the soul's sincerest desire"
"Pray for my soul; more things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of"
My husband had six by-passes and did remarkably well.
The photos of Izzie's youngest and his friend were fantastic. Love to see children having fun, especially where music is also involved.
He, Brit your cars and bars were also fantastic along with the oddities of the elephants.
Love that movie Letty - and that is a beautiful place!
We go to a place kind of like that up in Tennessee on the Cumberland Plateau...a small little town with a wonderful golfing community. We stay for a week in August and it feels like going back to the old ways - easy days, enjoying the lake and the pool...activities at the main game room for the kids and pool play, goofy golf...all of that.
Thank you Tai Chi and everybody else for my well wishes...this is my last day of freedom. I am a basket case. It will be fine - I know that - but I HATE CHANGE! Hate it.
ah Mis, I know tomorrow is going to be a toughie for you - I know you'll go into it smiling and all... but I reckon you'll be churning up inside - it's one of the hardest things to do after raising the kids through their first years - but it can also be very rewarding when you feel as tho you are doing your bit and are independent - change can be good... but I know it throws you at times... MIS... you will be brilliant - head up, chin up and go show them who you are.
When you started working with the kids at pre-school, it was prolly a lot easier coz you were still with children - and tomorrow it's back into the big kids world ...
thing is...
you will be good - you'll be better than good - you just need to believe in yourself and trust that you are going back to work for all the right reasons. I would so love to work with you, you'd be a fabulous colleague to have - you would brighten my everyday as you do on the threads, for sure. I am more fortunate than most people - I have the honour of calling you "my friend" - your clients and work folk are gonna love you, as we do here.
I have so much admiration for you and how you handle all the things you have to do in your busy days - you have true grit girlie and you should be so very proud of yourself. Believe in you.
I'll be thinking of you Mis and sending you best of British for tomorrow. Love you girlie.
Letty - yep, Dirty Dancing has to be one of my faves too... tho I guess my all time in Les Mis. That is a beautiful place - reminds me of somewhere on Dartmoor actually. (((((((((((Letty)))))))) - yep, we don't do no Titanics here
maybe just a little of this...
now I just have to locate the Bosun to join me in third class
MaMaVerby - how are you hun? I wonder where your posts went... perhaps you were not logged in at the time. All is OK here. Would love to hear your news and what's happening jobwise and Mumbai-news????? How is your sweet H-Boy? Kenya - did you have the best time. Email me if you wanna talk and we'll try and sort out a time to msn - gosh, can't even remember the last time I used msn. Take care sweet child ((((((((((((((MaMaVerby))))))))))) - please smunch Hrehaan for me. x
BEAgle - did you see the Federer <swoons> match - good golly miss molly! Think he needs some Toblerone - what a mighty effort and YAY for him. Loved the first day of Wimbledon - lots going on there and super sunshine for them. You'll be up all night watching that now. That's OK - that's what some night times are for. (((((((((((D&A))))))))))))
Have had nice day in the garden but am exhausted - had to call reinforcements for the riverbank - PaPa and his strimmer beast (industrial!) Took pics - too tired and blech to post tho. Took my potion an hour ago so I'm hoping to fall asleep soon. We have a lot of legal drama going on at school ... nasty 'ole business - and tomorrow is going to a long day talking back and forth with the County lawyers again - I think my boss is sailing stormy seas (the joys, ugh) - well, she's having a rough time of it as a headteacher - we're a close knit team when it comes to backing up our Head - it's the only way to be, the only way I know how anyway.
Will be taking the kids sailing again tomorrow - it's gonna be another beautiful day - a hot one for us - simply can't believe how good our summer has been - hope it stays this way for the school holidays.
OK............... gonna sign out. Apols - being a little bit hit and miss at the moment. Marbles in my head all banging around together.
No word from S-boy so all is good in Brittany
Social services... well, let's just say the new social worker is nice... really is - R-boy has 10 hours support a week 24/7 to 10 <sigh> and <sigh> - that's as good as it gets - so many false promises, makes no difference whether it's in writing or not. anyhooo.... just..... anyhooo. He is establishing a some sort relationship with the new social worker. This can only be taken as excellent and positive.
I miss my son.
No word from K-bro today about PaPa - will take that as good news too. Hoping for surgery as soon as. Thank you for all your thoughts, omms and prayers for FQsis and K - they will appreciate it.
((((JPB)))))((((((RH))))))))
(((((Bethie))))) hope all was good at work today and you had a thoroughly relaxing weekend. x
((((((Blue))))) miss you. Know you will be uber busy herding the flock so just wanted you to know I am thinking of you and miss you, always. Take care of you love, love xox x
Hiya Dutchy. I hope you are doing well also. Summer vacation is right around the corner...two more days of school for me.

@JustBrooke,
Just stay on the Yabber Liner girl...we seem to be a world apart from the rest of it sometimes. Thank God!
Thank you for that - Brooke, Stormy, Izzie and all...I am feeling better about work. And I know once I find my groove it'll be fine. It will be nice to be around only adults during the day though...I haven't had that in a really long time!
We lost. We lost to the most O-B-noxious team ever. Of course I suppose any team that beats us is obnoxious. But dang. Stuck in my craw.
Thank goodness my boys just love to play baseball...they seemed unaffected and happy on the ride home. So I was okay....they're okay - I'm okay.
I gotta go to bed.
So tired.
Hugs to you all sweet folks.
sweet dreams and happy days.
