Hiya mismi, your words sound like music in my ears, you seem to know me so well. Ofcourse I love all my beautiful friends here and that includes verbivore eventhough she's going to dob me in to the Captain. Hope your boys are doing well in the baseball. (((mismi)))
They are little super stars Dutchy. Of course I am biased. It's going to be another scorcher here in Bama land. 34c - with 90% humidity - and it's not even summer yet. HOT.
You know we love you. How's your team doing in the world cup? Australia hasn't played yet have they?
Love that hot weather you're having, will be a few months before it hit us again. You're obviously very proud of your little 'superstars', enjoy every moment of it mismi.
I have two teams going in the world cup, the Aussies and the Dutch. The Aussies got thrashed in their first game by Germany however the Dutch didn't let me down and beat Denmark. Both teams will play again this weekend so we'll miss another nights sleep.

I am also following two World Cup teams -- United States and Germany. Send me your wager by private message.

Hey Crew
Ahoy mateys - tooot toooooot - ah, I have missed you – y’all know who you are
One day, you wake up in the morning having been three sheeits to the wind – you get rid of the things that were ailing you and move on – the li’l ‘ole nursery rhymes sing a tune in your head “stick and stones” –in fact, saying the words out loud often helps and as long as you don’t put your trust in anything less than true – then, you know you’ll be just coco.
Soooooooooo – what’s been going on here a? Looks like our Vegemite ((((MaMaVerby – how is your little H-boy????)))) wants to see the BEAgle walk the plank – welllllll, I could go for that and then I’ll be waiting in the water for him alongside this ‘ere ship – jump in (((Bosun))), the water is beautiful - playahlong - I’ve been floating for some time – now’s the time to pull me back onboard and start steering – where shall we go next?
All is good with S-boy and R-boy(as far as I am aware) – exams are nearly over for S-boy and then he’s off to foreign lands on a school trip for 5 days – he’s so excited. Now, to remember where I put all his nametapes (yes, iron on ones of course, the days of sewing on the nametapes are well and truly done!) Opting for the easy life <pass me Mame’s iron>
Tulip is coming over with the kids tomorrow and we’re going to make merry – haven’t seen them in what feels like an eon – the kids are missing one another too so I'm really looking forward to seeing them all.
Missssy – you and those little boyz are doing great – I still don’t know how you manage to fit everything in. Hope all is even better now S-boy is home. You’re getting some heat out there a? Ha – as the Blue Fella says – you’re hot Dixie Gal Wishing some coolness your way and will be sending the BEAgle a little of our sunshine warmth – it’s super stunning here right now and warm warm warm. Love you Mis x
Bazza – so sorry we couldn’t make it up to London this weekend – please take loads of pics so we can see West End Live...sing a Les Miz for me - dontya just know we are gonna love the 25th Ann! Hope to see you in the not too distant future x <oh, I picked up the phone today and managed to cut you off – darn touch screens – do.not.touch.the.off.button - doh. Speak soon>

((((((((((((((((Crew))))))))))))))))))) lovin’ y’all – so very glad to see you all here and sailing along – we may be Motley lot – but we are the best!
It’s good to be back.
Off out into the garden – it’s real peaceful out there ‘ceptin the boids who are twitterpating. (((Boida – wishing artistic wellbeing in green)))
Ima be back later – school’s done for the week and have a few days to relax and zzzzzzzz. I can feel some music coming on...x

Hi Izzie, welcome back, you've been missed. Bosun has been at his best behaviour during your absence, just ask mismi. Pleased to read you and the boys are doing well, to what countries will S adventures take him? Can imagines him being very excited, wish him an enjoyable trip on my behalf. Have fun with Tulip and crew tomorrow but watch her arm, she has a sore elbow. Ready for some brekkie, 6.30am here with a new day starting.
Agent Wandel my money is on the Dutch in the world cup even if they play your team in the final.
BEAgle - ahhh - it's good to see you too - pleased to see you have been steering us thru clear waters - well behaved ahahahaha, yeah right!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I've been away forever - sheesh - how sad does that make me a? It's only been a few days. HA! Have been wholly selfish and far too wrapped up in myself (blah) when there are so many far more important things going on in the world that need more consideration. Looking forward to seeing Tulip tomorrow and catching up.
S-boy is very excited - he's going to Brittany He's been away with the Young Carers before for a week but that was fairly local - he's not ever been abroad without me so even tho he's real excited, he's a little apprehensive he may get homesick. Ah, bless him - what he doesn't realise is that he is going to have the time of his life with all his school mates and it will go all too quickly - before he knows it, he'll be back home. Hoping the weather will stay fine for them as they have lots of activities planned - I'm sure tho that no matter what, it will be a great adventure.
My school kids are going on a residential trip in July - its a place on Dartmoor and we're taking 31 of them (oh my) - and it's gonna be fab - such a good thing for the kids to do. S-boy will have broken up from school by then so he will be coming with me and joining in too. Planning on taking lots of pics.
<coughs - c'mon ENGLAND - yes, even I have been watching the football - what is the world coming to! >
Very happy to see you ((((D))))) - take it easy - and stay warm - hugs. x
edit: POMcT - have a good trip - catchya when ya return - (((McT))

Well the boys are out of the tournament. N. pitched very well but there were too many errors in the outfield. We lost by one run. Oh well...now we are ready for all stars

Holy cow, look what happens when we take some time off, Izzie!
Yes, I'm back for a few days and there will be photos eventually. Gonna go check out some of the new folk's posts. Nice to see the crew again! (And welcome to all the new A2Kers.)
You too TC - how is up in the Great White North - looking forward to seeing the School House - hope the college guy hasn't spent all his time of the roof. Any loiking snakes. Have fun hun - tho i know it's hard work. Your tree here blossomed beautifully - it looked like it was covered in the snow and like a blizzard when the wind blew. Gorgeous. You are now turning a burned ochre colour... blending with the green. Have fun. Lovely to see you. x Do you think this time next week we have assimilated another couple forums. Liking these newbies tho. Some lovely folk. x
Stormy - such a shame for N - all stars on the cards a? Y'all have fun too. Hugs to you x Very good to see you here (((((Stormy)))))

@Stormwatch,
Oh pooh! Well...we struggled with it the entire regular season. Off to All Stars then Stormy! Enjoy every minute!
G-baby won his game tonight - 23-6. They had so much fun...I made walk-up music for them. They chose their favorite song and every time they walked up to bat I played it. They LOVED it! So precious. I love those boys.
Jackson's game got rained out. So we get to do a double header tomorrow. double pooh.
Izzie! So glad to see you back! ((Izzie)) I missed you! Glad to hear all is well. Same ol' same ol' here...baseball, baseball, baseball.
Dutchy is always a gentleman...he LOVES the ladies...and we love him!
Tai Chi! Hello there! So glad you dropped in to see us! Sounds like your summer is going well...
I have news. I am starting to work full-time on Monday. I will be back in insurance believe it or not. Got called by my friend and made an offer I couldn't resist. I am a mix of emotions...I have cried a lot today. Mainly because I was just not ready yet - but I can't pass this opportunity. I also will have to let my preschool know I won't be teaching music...that made me cry too. I will miss my boys during the summer...but it is just temp work. It is possible it will turn into full-time....I just want to help the Prof. out. Since he lost his job and went to work for so much less than he was making, it has been mighty tight. This will give us relief...it is a good thing.
I hear you on the double-edged news. Great news! And, yet, it comes at a price. I'm glad your friend thought to call you. Hugs, hun.

@mismi,
Hey Missy - that is good news - but I know how hard that is for you too ((((Missy)))) - you will be fine hun and as you say, it's temporary for now but could lead on to something more long term. I'm glad your friend thought of you too. I bet G-baby did love the song you did for them - I can picture that little boy running out
Alex ... JPB... lovely to see you both here - wishing the midwest lots of love and happy days.
Been a busy one here - had to work this morning and then a quick run into the city - home, picked up little fella (he's so excited about his trip) and then back here and a quick hoover around before Tulip, kids and dawgs appear. Bless her - she's bringing food!!!!! Hot day today so schlepping back and forth to the river to fill up the watering can to water the plants (on a water meter so no do hose! ) Anyhooooo - there's a game on tonight - gonna have to try and persuade Tulip et al to watch it - I'm not a football gal at all but I iz an English rose.
So.... here we go.... shout.... waaaaaaaayoooooohhhhhhhhhhhwaaaaaaayohhhhh....1.2.3. C'mon England - shout shout let it all out, these are things I can do without...
GO ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<there's a special birthday coming up> (((((((((((((((((((((((Bethie)))))))))))))))))))) love you. x not quite on the 19th... but plan to have a G&T tonight
I am much better today. It was just so strange. I called to check on the job yesterday morning, thinking I was just setting up a possible interview and she asked me when I could start. I had not fully shifted gears...I think I was shell - shocked most of the day.
Thank you JPB, Alex and Iz...I think it will be good. You know - I am horrible with change. So the fact that I haven't cried once today is a good thing. Impressive even. For me.
Okey dokey - I have to go get my little All Star dressed for his game.
good luck to your little all star with his game mismi.
A job is always a good thing for financial security, but on the other hand my heart goes out to you mismi as I understand your mixed feelings. You have a positive attitude...it will be a good thing
absolutely brilliant night with Tulip and the kids.... we couldn't go to the West End Live... so we brought the West End to us... to starrrrrrrrt with... <roll drums>... we had S-boy doing "I'm so pretty, I'm so witty..... " well, you know the rest, Lez Miz, Phantom, Grease, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Bare Necessities, Fiddler and and and ... and many more. Played charades - TV broken, no remote... so we amused ourselves. Just settling the kids down now - we are all exhausted. Bl**dy brilliant. Laughed, danced, laughed some more. Pics to follow.
ahhhhhhhhhh Barry - you woulda loved it!!!!!! Know you will just have the most amazing beer
and for our Bethies birthday, we had a little belly shaking going on (errrr... no pics to follow>
it's been great. Tulip's had a few and has crashed - the boyz have a movie on in the bedroom and Sgirl will be reading for a bit.
The dawgs all joined in - it was a case of how quick can the cat run and how big a christmas tree tail and arched back could Kitty Cat do. Big 'ole family night in and charades was a riot. S-boy is a born actor - his interpretation of music and playscenes is remarkable.
Tulips dawgs are up with her so I have a black boy just jumped up beside me purring away - off to take my pooches for their consitituionals and then maybe settle down - I've woken up from dancing so much and golly jee - it is HOT tonight - have all the doors and windys open.
No plans for tomorrow - prolly go for a little walkabout with the pooches.
Bethie - have the best birthday - love you.
Missy - enjoy today, hope all goes well - I understand the change thing for you - you will master it no probs. Your faith will give you the strength to do that. I know you. Love always. x
Stormy - enjoy Allstars and lots of love to you and yours
((((((BEAgle)))) you still having some ISP probs. Missing you darling - thinking of you. xxxxxx
(((((((((((((((((((((Blue))))))))))))))))))) you - miss xox x
<quietly not mentioning the football - pants - tosh - so many wasted opportunities.... ah, well, onto the next one... C'mon England >
