@mismi,
I understand you about the bye...sometimes I think the kids take it as they made it and let up on the effort.

I'm glad your boys did so well. Tournament games are fun but they sure can play havoc with the nerves Very Happy

We did well yesterday. It was a close game so very exciting. N. got the winning RBI. So, pheww we made it to the second round, but this one's gonna be tough. N. is the starting pitcher tomorrow too...he's nervous. He's also graduating from 8th grade tomorrow morning....busy day. My baby boy will be in high school next year...yikes!

continued good luck to you and your boys mismi...keep us posted.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey Baz! That is good news...Sorry the visitors won't make it. But I am looking forward to your pics! ((Baz))

Man, I miss Izzie.

Stormy - Yay! You made it throught the first...but being single elimination I know there is no relief from the pressure. I hope the fellers can keep it up! I told J I didn't mind them losing - it was when they looked like they forgot how to play ball that I got disappointed. They lose heart...can't do that. So - I am the cheerleader...rah rah and all that! Wink Hope the rest of the games go well. Keep us updated.

I can't imagine Stormy. Having a child in highschool! Congratulations on his graduation and enjoy every minute! It all goes much too fast for me.

I have a lot to do today. I totally took off of the all star tournament prep work yesterday - so today I have to double time...first tournament game for G-baby is tomorrow evening.

S is at his grandparents and I miss him terribly - I am going to get him tomorrow. Can't wait.

hugs to all...

Hi
I spoke to Izzie last night she is ok! We hope to go see her on Friday!

Hope you are all well and keeping busy! Goes without saying aren't we all! Well sun is shining again! We had a BBQ at the weekend just the kids and me, we had fun! Although it took me 3/4 of an hour to light it!! With F boy keep asking have you done it yet Mum? Ha!

I have been gardening and have loads of cabbages, potatoes, peas and runner beans, as well as tonnes of strawberries - that aren't yet ripe!

Well all of you take care, hugs X

@annis,
Hi annis, nice to see you about and hearing the news about Izzie. Looks like Dutchy will have to show you how to light a BBQ, can light one without matches! Learnt it from the aboriginals, just keep rubbing two sticks together and some dry grass, never fails. Smile

We're having a very cold spell here at the moment so I'm helping Mrs.B around the house to get some exercise, she is taking me out for lunch as a reward! World Cup is taking up a lot of my sleeping time because of the time difference.

Waves from downunder.

@Dutchy,
Ha! Dutchy that would take me forever with our bits of green wood!! Does it help if I do it half naked as the aboriginals? That would not be a nice sight!

@annis,
Hi verbivore nice to see you back, trust you had a great holiday. How is the little man?

Annis you can light a bbq any way you like behind the 'black stump', it is very secluded and guaranteed to give you an all over tan should you want one. Wink

Managed a nice lunch with Mrs.B today, my first outing in weeks, felt good. Would have loved to have travelled with a friend to heart of our State, normally a hot dry desert, but today one enormous inland sea because of the heavy rains in tropical Australia. The place is full of bird life and fish! Everybody is asking where do they come from?

Back to the fire as it is pretty cold in my knack of the woods.

Ahoy there, crew. I'm off to Eurotunnel tomorrow (and Friday) and from thence to High Germanee.

Well, low actually, but I don't know a song of that name.

And on Sunday evening, with a fair wind and if'n the creek don't rise, I'll see Walter and Mrs W in situ.

Vorsicht, die Briten kommen!

So, hooray again. Laters

@McTag,
Ahoy, McTag!

Enjoy your travels, but a quick note in passing to let you know we've got a new Scotsman here at A2K. Seems he's a bit of a Monty Python fan.

oh how funny! not playing with water and fell over!! thought I had broken me arm but have cut it and my elbow is swollen!! no pain no gain.

Looks like plain sailing can see birds hovering on the thermals! Who is taking care of the helm? Who is cleaning the deck? and who is looking after the entertainment til the captain comes back?

@annis,
Morning annis, new day starting here, can I fetch you some eucalyptus oil and sooth you sore elbow? Have you an exotic place in mind we can sail to and have some fun now the Captain is away? When the cat is away the mice will play. Smile Wink

Odd you should play Cat Stevens here, the old crooner is in town and gave some marvellous performances, my sister went to see him and thought he was brilliant.

We are in the midst of tournaments again...I think I am finally dragging. Especially this morning.

Hoping all is well with you all..
