I could use one of those jumbos for home - put him in the front garden next to the concrete lion.
It'd cut down the amount of gardening to be done.
Checking out with a few pics of the latest exibit on the ever changing plinth in Traf Sq....
Laters crew,off to bed.

Hello Izzie - I am glad you missed me. It's nice to be missed. No, no nap. I have been so very busy. haven't really stopped for a week now - it seems anyway. Been in Pell City most of the week for a baseball tournament. We won one game. It was a great game...the rest pretty much stinked. BUT I will say at practice today we ironed out a lot of the kinks. Thankfully it was a pre-tournament tournament and not the actual tournament. That will be starting Wednesday.
Mom and Dad came and got to see a little baseball and my sister in law and her twin sister are coming tomorrow to stay for a few days. Mom and Dad are leaving in the morning. I have loved having them here.
Love the pictures. So glad you have been having fun and getting things done. That is an awesome combination. It is so great to see so many faces here - Joe, Brooke, Baz, JPB, Tulip, Stormy, Rock and others ((Dutchy)). Of course we miss Tryagain.
It is late. I must go try to sleep. I have a lot to do before the sis in law and her sis get here.
Hugs to you all!
Mis
@Barry The Mod,
I LOVE the elephants!!! Chicago did cows a few years ago, but they weren't nearly as cool as those elephants.

Always (((((Mis))))((((JPB))))

Looks like I'm gonna be a busy boy....
West End Live 2010 on the 19th and 20th and a jumbo visit the following week-end in Chelsea.
Waves to all.
It came to pass, that my Internette was stricken of the palsy and my PC likened unto death. There was much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth occasioned thereby. Whereupon, and following entreaties of the service provider, an technician was sent, even unto my dwelling, to seek out my PC and to minister unto it.
And straightway, by laying on of hands and connection of a new modem to the cable new y-spliced, did he bring out of the chaos life.
And it was good.
And the people marvelled, and great was the rejoicing thereof.
Now where's that fatted calf?
@McTag,
I have the other half of the fatted cow.
Feasting.
My internet has been down too.
Laying on hands with an ethernet cable in one and a laptop in the other seemed to pacify the godesses of my dearly desperate laptop.
<please pass the bread and gravy>
peace to everyone on earth - thankee goddesses
x
(((Crew)))
@Izzie,
Hi Izzie, what are you upto with that laptop, not trying to electrocute yourself are you? Be careful!
Very cold downunder and I can't think of a better place than staying indoors, my guardian angels visited me at home and told me I'm doing ok which is good news.
Grand kids will be in town for the next few days and that will be quit a distraction. Have some money saved up so McDonald's here we come.
Waves everybody.
Hey crew,just spoke to Verbs on the the phone.She's attending a wedding ceremony in Kenya (no internet connection)! Rang her because i sent her a parcel and it is way over due date.She's "good".
Hi folks, sorry I'm a little late.....But not as late as - If George Washington were alive today, he might face a hefty fine for the late return of library books.
Officials at New York Society Library said one of its ledgers shows that the president racked up 220 years of late fees on two books he borrowed, but never returned.
One of the books was the Law Of Nations, which deals with international relations. The other was a volume of debates from Britain's House of Commons. They were both due back on November 2, 1789.
Talking of Precedents...
I am not inferring that Brooke and I were making out, but from where I was standing I could make out Point Pleasant, Clermont County, Ohio; which as we all know was the birthplace of Ulysses S. Grant. Now, can anyone tell me what the 'S' in his name stands for?
No! I thought not.....Doh!
BTW Brookie; congratulations on your forthcoming exam results. I have been led to believe they are outstanding; way to go girl.
Now, I know what y'all are thinking.....What the heck was he doing standing outside anyhow?
Well, lemee tell ya... I do not profess to be the world's greatest horticulturist, so it came as no surprise when a seven foot palm type pot plant that stood in the vestibule since Jefferson Finis Davis arranged to sell his Mississippi estate to one of his former slaves, Ben Montgomery.
Anyhoo, I hauled this plant out to the yard and lo and behold the next morning after overnight rain the thing had perked up and grown at least two inches!
So I called my girlfriend and do you know what she said? Why don't I go and spend the night in the yard!!! What do you think she meant by that?
BTW Jon Stewart if you are reading this- if you use any more of my material I'm a gonna send the boys around. Kapish!
What's with these Brit's anyway? I was passing through London when I stopped off at a restaurant which looked like a Beverly Hills hair salon and politely asked, ‘Can I get a coffee?'
A trendy young thing replied, 'No. . . unless you are planning to clamber over the counter and start fiddling with the steam spouts’!!!
What the...Well, I summoned all the southern charm I could muster and said, 'Listen Lady, you are not on my skedule for today'.
She quietly replied, 'There is no 'k' in schedule'.
So what do I gotta do to get a drink around here? Do I haffta fill out forms?
She shot me one of those 'Frankly, my dear Johnny Reb, I don't give a damn' looks and edukated me that 'you fill IN a form!
I said, " How did you know I was from the South; was it my accent?
Oh no, at first I thought you might be Pee-wee Herman, but even he would not wear a Confederate flag belt buckle the size of a dinner plate, and looking at your Stetson, white suit and alligator skin boots; it was just a wild guess.
Well we got to a talking and after some extracurricular activity; I filled in her form!!!
Which reminds me; don't you just hate those Pee Wee Baseball mom's who shout and scream at the kids games! I mean, come on, those little guys are trying their best. Is there really any place for profanity in sport?
I was down in Bama the other week to answer bail on a money laundering rap.....but I don't wanna wash my dirty linen in public; so as I was passing the park on a hot afternoon there was this pee-wee game going on and all these gorgeous moms jumping up and down shouting for their kids and getting hotter and hotter... it started to look like a wet T-shirt competition!
I think I will sponsor my own team.
Special mention for: Pee Wee Reese, who the Boston Red Sox sent to Brooklyn for only $35,000. This trade is now considered one of the most lopsided deals in baseball history.
Talking of bad form:
Nice to see such solidarity over that perfunctory post by who's very nature is deceitful, malicious, crafty, covetous, rapacious and perfect in all villainy.
Reminds me when I was downtown this morning waiting on my parole officer and was talking to myself, she walks in and says, "Don't you think of anything except sex?"
I replied, "Sure, I sometimes think of girls!"
Did I tell ya how much I really missed all y'all; you know, about as much as a rock misses a hard place.
I will be finished here before the end of the month, wishing you all the very best and may a fair wind fill your sails.
Hugs y'all.
@Tryagain,
You came back on the brink of new changes to Able2Know.
(If I were you, I would try to find out if this was another attempt by Robert Gentel to confuse you.

)
@Tryagain,

I so hate it when you read back and pick out my worst moments. That is not screaming at the kids. That is encouraging the kids and putting that mama in her place.

I have done much better since then. I was hot. And a wee bit impatient with her. Cut me
some slack please. And I did not use profanity. Maybe in my head - but it was never verbalized. Thank you.
Me thinks you've spread yourself too thin Tryagain. You can't seem to handle things the way you used to. Pity.
Hello Izzie,
A2K is swamped with the philosophical.
We are still in tournament. Round robins this week and then next week double elimination. Praying we do well. Last night was promising. G-baby is smacking the ball. His new baseball pants were about a foot too long for him. My little peewee babies are hard to fit. Everything is so big. I had to go find some extra smalls that looked like the pants everyone else had.
S is at football camp and in a couple of weeks he and J will be at football camp. G-baby will just be relaxing with me by the pool. Which will be wonderful. Looking forward to it.
Hugs to you all...good to see you Tryagain. Hope you all are doing well. Stay warm Dear Dutchy.
hug, hug, kiss, kiss,
mis
@mismi,
Hi again,
We are about to head to the ball park.
Got a call today. My girls week at the beach is being cancelled due to closed beaches because of the oil spill. Nauseating. It makes me want to cry.
I think we are going to a lake instead. It will be fun. Some water skiing and beer drinking on the dock should be lots of fun as well.
Hugs y'all
missing you!
