Evening crew, the Bosun has found his way back to the ship, missed you all. How is everybody? Haven't had time to read back but will in the coming days.

Australia has a new hero today, a 16 year girl from Queensland, who sailed her yacht around the world in 210 days. She arrived back in Sydney to a hero's welcome today, watched by the whole nation on TV. Amazing story.

Good Morning Izzie and Baz...hope you are having a good Saturday. We have our first tournament championship this morning. I am hoping G-baby's team plays well...They are either on their game and look like a bunch of midget professionals or totally off and look like a bunch of 7 year olds that have never played...there is no in between! Precious group of young'uns though.

Good luck to your boys and their game(s)? today mismi. Tournament playoffs are real nail biters...I'll keep my fingers crossed for them!

N's baseball season is just beginning. We start much later up here in snow country. We've only played 6 games, 3w and 3l. Tomorrow we play N's team from last year. He is fired up as he is starting pitcher...they get so competitive. The older they get the more pronounced it seems to get.

I'm off to start moving my daughter home from college for the summer. I'll take all but what she can fit in her car after her last exam on Tues. I can't believe she has almost completed her third year...I feel old!

Hey Stormy - hard to believe another school year is over. Our kids had their SATs exams last week (many schoosl refused to do them this year so really, they are a complete waste of time and can't be "examined" correctly or used as standards. Our cohort this year is 7 - we don't fall into the national leagues of results because the cohort is so small yet, the kids are still examined for their move to secondary school. Crahp really. The headteachers who refused to do SATs on the advice of their teachers' union are coming under fire - will be interesting to see how the government use the results to their advantage of increasing/decreasing standards

Anyhooooooooooooo - how did the insurance stuff work out in the kitchen? Did you get everything sorted? Good luck to N tomorrow and glad to hear your girlie is coming home - again, hard to believe she's all growed up... which means we are growing up too!!!!!! (In my head I still feel like I'm 16!)

Hello all - seems we have all had an extremely busy weekend. I hope you are all okay. It's only going to get worse folks....this is my last full week of work at the preschool. Today - I am on the phone calling businesses for sponsors - I need four. 2 per child. All Stars is ridiculously expensive. They don't tell you that until after you sign the stinking commitment form.

I've been up on the moors with my camera... fell in love today... 'nay', I hear you say, oh yea...'neigh neigh'. It was just so lovely up there. Had to drop something off at the Post Office and didn't have my camera, saw something that took my eye so drove home, got the lens and drove all the way back over.... and it was still there. Pics later if I can get myself sorted. Little fella home tonight and it's his birthday tomorrow so we're going to pop into the town to my folks to pick up a pressie from his brother... that will mean more to him than anything in the world, not the present, just that his brother remembered. S-boy had a super fab weekend in London with his father and saw Les Miserables - he loved it sooooooo much, was very excited and a little awestruck listening to the music and seeing the play for real. Happy for him - he is as addicted to Les Miz as much as I am.

OK - gotta go and pick him up from the bus - then quick dinner and over to the town.

It's so beautiful here - truly, beautiful.

Today, spoke to a stranger in the Post Office about leaving here and moving away - I said I wanted to go to the beach - I've found a house there, it's no so far away, but far enough away - it's yet to be built... it's a dream, I've fallen in love with that too - a little out of my price range tho. Looking West out to sea with just the waves ahead...leaving everything behind. <sigh> I'd still be close enough to the moors, but I would be by the sea. I wish I could do it right now.

OK - 'nuff musing - gotta fly...

I sang fine Saturday. I tried to record it but it didn't work. It is my backassward non-techno dorkishness coming through...I pushed the wrong button apparently.

The bronchitus is gone - I still have the crud though (lovely - please forgive me) but it did not pose a problem. Thank you for asking - I had a blast.

I am now scrambling to get sponsors for the All Stars teams. Oh my goodness...I hate this part of it. Oh that I were a millionaire and could just foot the bill for the whole team. That would be awesome.

For ages I've reckoned my ISP (BT) was ripping me off,charging me £51 ($74) per month for broadband use and a telephone land-line.Got a letter in the post yesterday from a rival ISP (Virgin),offering me the same service for £32 ($46.40) but this meant changing hardware equipment .
Rang BT,told them what Virgin were offering and asked "What can you do?".All of a sudden,they can....
Upgrade the wireless box of tricks which plugs into the phone socket so I can connect to the internet (there must be a shorter word for that!).
Free week-end land line calls.
And a new rate of £30 ($43.50) per month.
SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
