@verbivore,
Hey crew
back and still around MaMaVerby

How's things going in your life and how's little Hrehaan?
I've been on the phone for hours so going to bed soon - my jaw has been yabbering overtime - hopefully some positive wee steps for R-boy and ... fingers crossed. He'll be moving shortly - tying up the loose ends and now, its time to get to know the care staff on a different level outside of the House. Lots of discussions and ideas for ways forward. These people really care, I don't believe they will let him down and will support him as best they can.
S-boy is going to London this weekend - he's been in a pickle at school but hoping that is now resolved and a new day begins tomorrow.
Very very tired now so probably gonna sign out and see if I can come down from the phone calls and stop thinking too much.
<yawn>
lovin' y'all - near and far - will see y'all tomorrow. Big sleeps to the world and wakey wakey Down Under - hoping our Bosun will back on board soon.
love love love...

Okay - J and G-baby both in All Stars...my creative, sensitive child (S) will be sad at first but I have art lessons planned that will aleve some of that sadness.

Greetings earthlings, I am just so happy to be able to come and visit with all y'all. The trip here sucked - 36 hours in this dump sucks and the trip back will suck. Still, a little lip balm will soon soothe the savage breast*!
Before I am lambasted by English scholars, may I reassure you dear reader that it is indeed; '...the savage breast', and not 'beast' that William Congreve penned in The Mourning Bride (1697) spoken by Almeria in Act I, Scene 1. Although I do concede the subject was music and as any musician will tell you, the older the instrument, the finer the tune!
Is that a problem you may well ask; well miners are braced for a plunge in earnings as Australia draws up fresh tax grab. A new Resource Super Profits Tax " also known as the Henry Tax, after the Treasury Secretary Ken Henry " will force mining operators to hand over 40 per cent of profits made on their Australian operations from July 2012. Just let me say to the Australian Government led by Kevin Rudd....You suck!!!
Speaking of which... Red-Faced Rudd: Oz PM Followed Twitter Porn - The Australian prime minister has been following porn sites online - all because of an 'inadvertent' setting on his Twitter account (yeah, right!). These include a porn blogger, an online adult superstore and a handcuffed bare-breasted woman, in addition to dozens of dodgy accounts.
A spokesman for Mr Rudd has since admitted an Twitter automated programme made the prime minister's account auto-follow those who followed him.....Rudd; stop sucking!
Whoops! I am thinking I have made what you English speakers call a faux pas. I tell all my friends.....Ok; I told a friend of my probation officer who's niece was gonna come visit the good old US of A - Never mention 'suck' or 'blow' , because in France faux pas means; 'false step'. And if you suck when you should blow....well, you will never get the balloons up!
However, a lack of knowledge about the customs and expectations of people can make even the best intentioned person seem illiterate, introspective, or worse. Therefore, in an effort to set matters straight...
Let me explain to you that Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements, which are numbered in an outward spiral starting from the centre of the city. So, if you don't know where you are going, any road will lead you there!
Just don't forget that when meeting friends or new people or when leaving the company of friends or people who one has just met it is recommended that the handshake be firm, because many are still offended by a 'limp' handshake. Giving someone a limp handshake in New York is referred to as giving someone a "dead fish" and is often viewed with derision, however in Hollywood it is de rigeur and that sucks.
But not as much as the story about Missy swimming in the Gulf when she saw a 'doody'; and took a while to get over it!
Now, I don't pretend to know what a 'doody' is; but after she wrote, "Never let anyone milk your mouse..." I think it is for the best we don't broach the subject; except to say, if it took so long to get over it, why not swim round it?
Oh, by the way: What animals milk does not curdle?
As you all know, Brooke and I want to finish with college and make a difference in the world. Which reminds me of the first time I saw her she took my breath away, what with her long blonde hair that flowed over her shoulders like cheese sauce on a bed of nachos.
I blame the nachos for our relationship hitting a bump in the road, not the low, graceful kind of bump, reminiscent of a child's choo choo train-themed roller coaster, rather the kind of tall, narrow speed-bump that, if a school bus ran over it, would cause even a fat kid to fly up and bang his head on the ceiling.
However, the problem is my teacher said I must finish 4th grade first! For homework we had to answer:
Two legs sat upon three legs,
With one leg in his lap;
In comes four legs
And runs away with one leg;
Up jumps two legs,
Picks up three legs,
Throws it after four legs,
And he saves one leg.
What are we?
So, what pushes your buttons?
It would help me to choose between naughty and nice...
Do you know what the difference is between a vegan and a pescetarian? I ask because Missy wrote...
"But I laugh a lot when I am doing it with my husband - of course there are nights I have been on the verge of tears as well..."
That is one of the reasons why I cover myself in honey for Missy; I am so sweet to that girl!
Well I could babble on forever, but just believe you'll recover. Stronger than ever....
But did you hear that; Zettabytes overtake petabytes as largest unit of digital measurement?
The size of the “digital universe” will swell so rapidly this year that a new unit - the zettabyte - has been invented to measure it. Humanity’s total digital output currently stands at 8,000,000 petabytes - which each represent a million gigabytes - but is expected to pass 1.2 zettabytes this year.
One zettabyte is equal to one million petabytes, or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 individual bytes. Who knew such things already?
In an effort to construct a lucid dialogue...
How have all y'all been adoing?
Mc T, I never knew you had a beard. Cute!
Hey Dev; you ok?
What's up with sweet Tulip?
Thanks for remembering me Izzie, should you ever be passing New Orleans, do let me know. Ps. Sweet dreams.
Dear Roberta, I sincerely hope all is progressing well.
Sorry Veggy, I can't make Bombay this year. I hope you understand.
G'day Dutchy, if your Sheila is within cooee, do pass on my felicitations.
Wandel, you are a real wit.
To all the rest of this wonderful crew; Deck Quoits at eight bells.
@Tryagain,
You've been drinking again.
Quote:But not as much as the story about Missy swimming in the Gulf when she saw a 'doody'; and took a while to get over it!
That wasn't the Gulf...that was the Adriatic Sea - and I wasn't trying to get over it as in getting around it...I was upset that I was swimming with - well....poop.
Quote:"But I laugh a lot when I am doing it with my husband - of course there are nights I have been on the verge of tears as well..."
heh heh that's funny - I will just let everyone wonder about that one.
honey - yessssss
I love honey
good to see you dear Try

Nice to know!
and wrote:Two legs sat upon three legs,
Why am I sitting on my stool, listening to dogs' stories while you pull our leg?

I'm impressed with your geographic knowledge. I use to be in 5th, in case you pass by..
Good morning mes amis.
Missy, the sentiment is reciprocated; how is the workout system going? Do have a wonderful day.
Oh Francis how I envy you; to live situated on the left bank of the River Seine in the location of the Quartier Latin, a district dominated by universities and also one of the oldest districts of the city dating back to ancient times. Did you have a view of the Panthéon?
As for the riddle; you are indeed my nemesis; Sherlock Holmes to my Moriarty. As they say in France - Veuillez agréer, Monsieur, l'expression de mes sentiments distingués.
@Tryagain,

It hurts like hell and I hate it.

@Izzie,
Sounds lovely Iz...I'm pooped too. But I have quite a ways to go before I can quit. Baseball practice tonight...we have our first playoff in the morning for G-baby. Sadly enough - I will be singing at the Farmers Market...can't believe the band chose to sing at the same time the kids are playing. Hopefully the chesty voice I have from the bronchitus last weekend will hold out for the 2 sets. Drives me nuts. The Prof. will be at the game for G-baby, he will be happy enough.
Good to see Tryagain. Missing Dutchy - ((Dutchy))
Hugs sweet friend ((Izzie))
take care of you...rest up -
I'll see you later
@mismi,
mismi wrote:Sadly enough - I will be singing at the Farmers Market
Don't be so hard on yourself, mismi. I am sure you sing well.
@wandeljw,
You are sounding like Try now Wandel.
howdy folks
started a new project, been watching a great british tv show called River Cottage (
http://www.rivercottage.net/), and it inspired me to do build a raised bed veggie garden
had a mound of soil left over from last years projects

and rather than move the soil, i built the bed around it

a few more things to do, like put up some supports for peas and runner beans, add some compost and maybe some more dirt, but should be good to plant in a week or so
Hi everyone.....How's things?
