@verbivore,

Chillax, is my advice.

I found all Indians helpful, pleasant, and happy to chat. A lot speak English, and a lot seem to be anglophile too.

Even once in the south (Kanyakumari, a seaside town) a group of Tamils got out of a bus to come and talk to me. I was worried at first because they were all young males, but they were just curious about a sweaty, strange-looking foreigner sitting on a wall wiping sand off his feet.

@verbivore,
Hi verbivore. Has been a quiet few days on board, have a suspicion some crew members maybe feeling a little off colour.

Nice of Eby to buy you one of Dostoevsky's books for Valentine's day, now you give him another classic by the same writer, The Brothers Karamazov, for father's day.

Good luck in your exams today.

@verbivore,
Well done verbivore 1o out of 10, can't do any better, you're allowed a little brag.

Didn't cook dinner for Eby, that is a crime, he has good reason to become annoyed, I would if Mrs. B came up with such a lame excuse. Smile

For information, the novel of The Brothers Karamazov was turned into a movie of the same name in 1958 with Yul Brynner in the leading role.

President's Day here in the US. That means that Mr B and M are home today keeping me company. That's mostly a good thing except I tend to push a week's worth of work into Monday's since that's the only week day I'm home during the daytime.

Gonna be a busy one!

Hope everyone is doing well.

@JPB,
Hey Crew

Ahhhhhh...good to see y'all. I'm not doing so well on the 'ole medical stuff right now so am not feeling too talkative. Have been in and out of the hospital and talking with docs over the last week about my tummy and need to get my head around some things, which with me means I kinda shutdown - which is stoopid but it's what I do until I'm ready to talk about it. Got home a little while back having had an MRI - ohhh - very noisy and clangy. Done with all the tests now, I think, and tho nothing is a biggie - it's just annoying.

Tulip was here with me over the weekend and stayed - we had a laugh Very Happy F-boy is still here and him and S-boy have been in the river - very wet and muddy. Tulip's just on her way to pick F up so I need to go put the kettle on.

I'll be back later.

Thinking of you all.

Especially our Missy - I hope she didn't get sick with the bug the boys had.

Lovin' y'all.
x

@JPB,
I am alright JPB and Iz. My computer has bit the dust. I am not sure we can fix it. I may not have internet access for quite some time. I just wanted you all to know I am thinking of you and have been missing you.

Izzie - you know my thoughts and prayers have been with you.

G-baby is all better. He is on asthma meds now - not just a puffer and breathing treatments so hopefully that will take care of all his little problems. Everyone else is healthy.

Hugs to you all...I miss getting to check on you. I have no clue when I will be able to get on more consistently. Hopefully soon.

smooch, smooch

@Rockhead,
Morning crew, nice to see some visitors overnight. Sending heaps of vibes to Izzie, come back soon, you're sorely missed.

You too mismi, glad it is only your computer that broke down and you are in good spirits. Hope it is only a temporary glitz.

Enjoyed the cartoon Rockhead.

Don't overdo it JPB, a holiday is meant you should be relaxinng!

Late news, I've seen Tryagain lurking around the traps. Laughing

Good morning to Izzie and the dear crew, it is hot and sunny in Buenos Aires, not that that should be a barrier to any visit; oh no, there are far more impediments than that. It is Chile in Tierra del Fuego.

Izzie, so sorry to hear you are unwell, my mom always used to say, 'cod liver oil will cure what ails you.' If that fails to work; I bought some Vicks Vapor Rub, you probably know that rubbing Vick's on your chest will help you to relax and sleep and will do me the power of good also!

Also sorry to hear about the shooting at Alabama State Uni, it is a crazy world out there.

Hope all have a good week.

Postscript. Dear Storm, you are as knowledgeable as you are adorable.

Addendum; Talking of adorable, where are Brooke and Missy? Is it such a sin to dream of a Ménage à trois? My three would be.....

Garden of Eden by Ernest Hemingway
Jules et Jim by Henri Pierre Roche
Henry and June from the unexpurgated diary of Anaïs Nin

Afterthought: After the no show last year I decided to send myself two Valentines cards and to maintain the element of mystery I wrote them with my left hand. Can you imagine my surprise when a card turned up today! I don't recognize the handwriting, so to whoever sent it; a BIG thank you!

But no hugs from me; unless you wanna catch the norovirus. It's not all bad news; I did win $15 bucks with a projectile emesis of almost 12 feet. Mighty impressive eh!

Dear Try,
Missy and I are doing well; however, we do feel slighted that you would choose the three that you did, and not us! That being said, the three that you chose do seem to meet three of the rules of a threesome ------> Be safe - Keep yourself busy - Be careful with penetration! In that respect, you should do very well! So, dahling Try, ENJOY! Razz

((((((( Miss Izz )))))) I am so very sorry that you are on a slippery slope right now. You are such an amazing and beautiful person that I know you will come through this. Just -- dag nab it anyhow. I wish you never had to feel pain of any kind. Love you muchly! xo

Ohio State University is closed due to weather today! I woke up this morning to a rash of text messages from dear friends giving me the word. I said "yippppeee!" Then rolled over and went back to sleep with a smile on my face!!! Yay, Yay, YAY!!!!!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! (Weather is much worse in Columbus today than where I live. Makes it extra sweet of a treat!)

xo
