@Izzie,
Pretty wet here too, but strangely warm, for winter anyways.

Not as much rain as we were expecting, I jealous, they got some snow up north Sad

@Izzie,
Wetsuits are for spring.
Nope, winter is the time of drysuits. It's like surfing with a waterproof duvet. Smile
I'm not entirely sure I still have feet though...

@AbbieMcKenley,
ha - you're mad young lady - you gotta wear those shoe things too!!!!!!!!!!! brrrrrrrrrrr

I love to watch the surfers down at Constantine - taken lots of photos of them - tho, when I see them coming out of the water and trudging up the beach with their suits undone - I just think - you're all mad - that water is freeeeeeezing. I reckon it must be quite a buzz tho to ride that wave. Never done it myself - don't like deep water Shocked

Oh oh, I must go find a photo and post it... this guy was on these... ski like things.... like he was walking on water - just amazing.... will post it in a bit. How he stayed balanced I have NO IDEA. Uber cool tho. Check back tomorrow if you get the chance.

Off to make a hot chocolate.... ha.... how old am I a? Did that sound subtle enough for "bedtime".... ok, kidding, you're a big girl, I'll leave you surfing the web as well as the coast... Wink

Woke up this morning with the Tootie Ta song running through my brain. I blame mismi -- I never would have heard of it otherwise. (I know, I know, it's months since you posted it. Why or why did my brain dredge it up this morning? And how can I make it stop?!)

@Dutchy,

Well, this is one of those songs that you hear now and then,
You don't know just where and you don't know just when.
It's one of those songs that are over and then,
It's one of those songs that start playin' again.

Yes, it's just one of those songs that you hear for a while.
That comes into fashion, then goes out of style.
It's one of those songs that you think you forgot,
But it's one of those songs you can not.

Because it’s one of those songs that can make you recall
A ride in the springtime, a walk in the fall,
A day in the country, a night on the town,
The sun coming up or the rain coming down
...or else the evening you parted
The morning you met,
The love of your life you can never forget
The reason is simple the memory belongs
To one of those wonderful songs

Because it’s one of those songs that’s so easy to hear
You listen just once then you play it by ear
It’s hummed on verandas, it’s strummed on guitars
And all you remember is “la da da da"
But later on you recall that it’s sung by the year
You may start to smile or you may shed a tear
You find that one part of your life time belongs
To one of those wonderful songs!

I thank you. You've been wonderful.

waiting for the recovery people to turn up and i have to go with them into the city in the recovery van and get a hire car from the garage

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

had to phone my Mom to go and pick up little fella from school and take to hers... won't be back here until... who knows when - and i've done no work today, and my tummy is still sore

big apologies, we'll get someone to you as soon as we can....

oh good lawd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I have to get in the van with the RAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ha - that just made me laugh so much and very loudly, told the guy i was feeling really crappy up until he asked me that, but he'd just made my day - he'd have an awful long drive if he was coming from the Isle of Wight - ha.

@Izzie,
No, don't gotta laugh...

talking to myself here - have just lost the plot - RAC have not turned up because Mr Isle Of Wight didn't tell them Shocked ... so, the car will not be picked up for another hour, by which time the garage will be closed, so I can't pick up the hire car...

i spat the dummy for a few minutes...

which means I have to somehow get to the city tomorrow to get it

how

i will need to ask G to take me

thru my red mist that has descended in the last hour, the doorbell went - my boss sent me a huge beautiful gorgeous bouquet of flowers "for beyond the call of duty" she wrote on the card...

ahhhhhhhhhh... how lovely was that.... that's why i love my job - i have such good people to work with and i get to see thru kids eyes...

love that.

I shouldn't be angry right now - i'm just annoyed i have a broken car, no RAC and now have to go into the city tomorrow and need to ask for help

and my tummy is sore.

ah well, blah blah blah blah blah

quit whining!

@wandeljw,
i am still here.......... so is Mr RAC... <actually, he's very nice and let me have a vent - he's gonna personally call Mr Isle Of Wight and tell him off!!!!!>

anyhooooooooo

he's trying to fix my baby

I've just been sitting in the car with him, he's got a computer attached to the electronics board and has managed to get rid of the yellow light

the problem is

A SWIRL

ha, I burst out laughing thinking of JoeFromChitowns "SQUIRRRRRRRRL"

anyhooo - he's taken it off for a spin and is going to try and go up the hill - now, if he comes back in "limp mode" - then it'll be towed....

but... if he comes back all revved up

then we'll be coco

ha, can't believe I just said all that seriously!

will give him a few minutes and see what happens Razz

(it has been a challenging day, i'm not coping with pain too well, it's making me cranky - tho I did go on the moors between med. appointments and took some pony photos for Boida and Tsar...

Tsar, you remember you wanted to know how high the ponies are... well, I have pics so you'll see Very Happy)

love a Dartmoor Pony - the moors were super stunning as always - but it was wayyyyyy cold and windy - so didn't venture out for a walk.

thanku (((( jw )))) .... this too shall pass Very Happy

Women and cars, eh. What can you say?

"There's a warning light on. I noticed it last week. It's the same shade as Sue's new nail varnish. Does it mean anything bad?"
