@Joe Nation,
Hey Crew

Yo Joe <there's a life raft> Nation

I finished all of it and have a clean office too - very satisfying.

Little fella and I have been doing homework - ways to remember the Periodic Table... we've come up with some interesting memory joggers!

AND... I cooked a casserole - how good was that!!!!!!!!? Wink It's simmering in the oven.

Broke my hoover today - pulled the plug out of the socket and one of the black thingy bits (of which there are three) snapped off and remained stuck in the socket in the wall. It's one of those safety plugs that can't be replaced so I'm now looking for a new hoover - a lighter one this time. Gonna have to undo the socket without making sparks fly and take the black bit out Shocked

Hoping all have had a good day/sleep

oh.... TULIP's new bluemobile is FABULOUS Very Happy

@Izzie,
Good morning Izzie, early start here, gee you've been an energetic girl today! Well done. Whilst you're at it how about cooking up a hearty breakfast for the Bosun? Hobbles off to the shower and wondering what our 'domesticated' Captain will dish up?

@Izzie,

Oh my! Switch the power off at the mains before fiddling with the socket.

And, you can fit a new plug to the hoover if you want- just cut the old one off and strip the cable carefully back.
Kind of Freudian, as Dutchy might say.

@McTag,
hey McT - hmmmmmmmmmm... it's a sealed socket - I thought I would take the screws out the wall, pull out the socket and would be able to see the black thing sticking out of somewhere... but it's all sealed in!!!!!

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020771.jpg

I've screwed the socket back into the wall now... will think on it tomorrow - I could maybe take all the wires out and have a poke around in there - but... well, I wouldn't like to be responsible for the "Big Bang" Shocked Might need to ask PaPa to come over to have a looksee a? Would like to be able to sort it out myself if possible tho. Any ideas would be appreciated?

here BEAgle... have one of these Very Happy

Yes, it's all sealed in to prevent the uninitiated killing themselves.

I'd ask your lovely neighbour's husband to take a look.

@Izzie,
I am glad McT suggested that Izzie. You don't need to be fooling with that. Yikes. Yikes.......Yikes. (one more for emphasis)

It has been a long day. Had church of course. Then a tea for my brother-in-law's fiance', then a memorial service for a dear friend's husband who passed away last week, then a birthday party for the boys best friend. Funny how life works isn't it? There was such a mix of emotions today and no time to transition from one to the other....I am exhausted!

I am going to put on my jammies and try to find a place where there is not football being watched. Good luck to me.

Hugs and kisses folkses,
mis

@Barry The Mod,
That sounds nice Barry - I have had more than one of my brood of boys asking for that one. I hope you enjoyed it ! I love kids animated stuff...whether stop motion or CGI...I am just a big kid I suppose.

No doubt I am struggling to sleep. Just think too much. I guess that surprises you all. Since I am such a flake. I embrace it. Makes life easier. I think we are going to have to see Alvin and the Chipmunks "The Squequel" tomorrow. Thankfully I have a dear friend saying she wants to go with me. You know...this big kid likes them all! I hope you enjoyed your evening Barry. Mine has been very nice!

Hugs to you!

@Izzie,
Good morning to you Izzie, you're sparkling which is good, but be careful with them wires or the real sparks will fly.

All well down under, nephew on his way to the heart of Australia to see Uluru, a 27 hour journey by train, aptly named "The Ghan" after the early cameleers who came from Afghanistan and explored the outback . A very adventurous young man just like his uncle. Laughing

Hope your appointment goes well. Best wishes from the Bosun.

Sorry you're feeling a little low today annis, I'd thought you'd be on cloud nine now you have your new blue dream machine. Can I distract you a little? I have a terribe pain in my neck and shoulder, a good massage is what I need.

Where is miss sunshine, miss her today.

@annis,
Hey Tulip.... ahhhhhh... the Boy Who Never Grew Up ... lovely. <reaches out over the moors and hugs you... strong girl, strong - you are too>

What if? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... you know what's really strange Tulip, S-boy and I were talking before I saw your post here...

he asked me a question. "What if I had never been born, Mom?" It was a light conversation we'd been having as we were throwing things across the kitchen to put in the cupboard, we've laughed so much tonight (we're like Morecombe and Wise) - I said to him there are no what if's, we can't think of what if's, there's no place for a "what if". I told him he was wanted so much by his Dad and I and he was borne in love - that his question would never be one that I would ever ask myself, so it couldn't be answered. Life without him would be unimagineable.

We can't "what if?" - we can only do what we do and live with the decisions we all make and make the best of what we have. Right?

and yeah, we don't have to grow up!

As our Bazza's sig line says - "I'm seventeen.I think I always will be ;-) "
YEP.

<'cept I'm 16 Wink>

Had a brilliant meeting with my lawyer today - ha, I make him chuckle which is fabulous. We spent about half an hour talking shop - then another hour and a half and a bit talking about everything and nothing - we wittered away incessantly. It will probably be the last time I see him officially - but, we'll keep in touch, for sure. He likes my emails - they are quite ridiculous compared to his normal humdrum clients. His kids will be going to school with S-boy when they are little older - so we'll probably bump into one another at some stage. He's a great lawyer and I was the best client (no really, I was)- very, very easy 'proceedings' with nothing really to chew over - his job was very simple even tho it's taken 3.5 years - ha! We decided that I needed someone very strong in my life somewhere in the future Razz

So, that's all done now, and I'll be an 'absolute' in a week's time. Strange, it no longer makes me sad, it just gives me the impetus to move forward in a better and more positive way.

Tulip - you're moving forward. You choose the pace and where you go and what you do. Try not to "what if" - live today!

Here, if you wanna talk.

Have a sausage...
