Oh bum! It's started snowing again and getting heavier buy the minute.BUT,maybe I won't be able to get into work tonight Wink ,fingers crossed.
Captain,put in a home delivery grocery order with Tesco's.Always works for me when I'm too busy/can't be assed to schlep around the store.Adverse weather conditions? That's their problem! But give the delivery guy a hot cuppa.
Waves to Dutchy as he puts on his PJ's after taking a shower from a hard day lounging around in the sunshine.Lucky ******!

fingers crossed for you Bazza - don't even attempt the journey hun - the buses are trains are starting to shut down in London according to the news reports - you really shouldn't be going out at night - it's getting even colder tonight.

@Dutchy,
Liten to you bragging Dutchy! You are just trying to make all of the ladies minds race....shower and shorts - Wink twit twoo (that's a cat call)

BEAUTIFUL IZZIE. I don't see us getting it like that. But I guess you never know. Of course they are building the hopes. But it has just been SO COLD. That Every body thinks it's going to come and stick! And of course even a couple of inches screws up this area. We have nothing to help with the snow...and I live on a mini mountain so getting up and down this drive way is treacherous even if you are walking...very exciting.

We are great. The Professor loves his job (I knew he would) and I am working again. Yesterday was my first day back and it was full of hugs from sweet little arms and sweet little smiling faces. It wore me out though. I came home wiped.

We did something to the van when we changed the battery. My Dad (he came up from Mobile) and changed the battery. Then the van was making this awful noise. I went to a local place and they said the steering fluid was low...they topped it off and didn't charge me a thing. And it sounds better - it was a relief. They said there may have been bubbles in the line or something - and to give it a day of driving to see if the sound would go away...if it doesn't then we might need a new steering something or other. Is that right Rock?

I have to go wake up the fellers...time to get ready for school.

((Izzie)) I wish I could bring you some milk and tea. I bought LOADS of it the other day...because it was going like crazy. And I was afraid if I didn't we wouldn't have any. We hear it's going to snow and everybody freaks out. But - back in 1993...they predicted snow...no one went nuts...we got 17 inches. That is a lot down here. People lost power for days and many were not prepared....so I think that's why everyone is scared to take a chance!

I actually have mine in a cooler on the back porch...it's so cold outside I haven't even needed ice.

Hugs to you all...
keep cool Dutchy - blowing some arctic air your way!
Stay warm Izzie, Bazza, McT, JPB, Rock, Brooke (get well soon), Didge, TC, Beth and hers, Tulip, Verby, Tryagain(last but not least)

ahhhhhhh Mis - glad all was OK at work and that the Professor is loving his job (phew). Hoping you are all better too and you've managed to get rid of the bronchitis. Love you Dixie. x

We've been playing in the snow. OMGAWSH - it was sooooooooo cold, and wet. The snow turned blizzardy (that means, for us in the UK, the wind got up just a little and it blew my brolly out) - why? I hear you cry, was I carrying a brolly - well, to protect the camera - but, that didn't work because the wind was too much and I ended up with snow all over the lens and just a tad windswept Shocked

It did warm up a little and the road is now slushy - it's been snowing on and off, but it's 'wet' snow so it's been thawing a bit. Coming in real cold again now and I can't feel my toots ...

anyhooooooooooo - here we are! Little fella, Penny, The Little Fella Next Door who is an angel et moi Razz

we are bedraggled now.

BEAgle - big sleep to you darlin' and hope the temps cool down there <throws snowball at the Bosun>

Bruhahahhahhaha - you and your shorts - HA!

Loved the pics Izzie, as usual you take a good photo! Yes it is cold and snowy. Poor dogs were covered with ice balls around their feet and tummy. Tried clearing some snow but gave up as it kept coming so holed up with some mulled wine!

Hope the rest of the crew are keeping well and cool or warm whichever is applicable. XXX

@Rockhead,
HA! - COWS... yep... we got cows - lots of them... I've got a next door neighbour with a herd of dairy cows AND his good wife offered me some milk...

straight from the cooooooooooo

unpasteurised...

well, with my immune system... maybe not a good plan Shocked

Poor 'ole next door neighbour farmer - he farms on the moors and it's a lot more brrrrrrrrrrrr up there - very early mornings for milking and all sorts of problems with pipes and feed etc. Farming is a tough, tough job! They've only had the herd for a few weeks (were beef farmers) - so this is a tough breaking-in start for them.

Anyhooooooooooooo. School's out, all my parents contacted and another freeeezing night has drawn in.

I have enough milk to last another day - no worries ;>

<pull the udder one Shocked)

@Izzie,
you DO know that by heating the milk, you can pasteurize your own, yes?...

no worries, I don't wanna be in league with the bovine that makes you ill.

carry on.

(and stay outta the snow for gosh sakes, you're gonna take cold)

The snow is longer snow - it's rock hard ice! Unbelievable - the dawgs are learning to skate on the lawn.

@Izzie,
Morning crew, once again lovely pictures Izzie, you have conveyed your message of snow, cold and ice very clear, you're a master photographer.

Pleased I set your mind racing mismi, even if it is at a distance, Mrs.B thinks I'm a show off. Laughing

Have installed by new laptop Captain, only need to link up to the Internet today and I'm in business, have wanted one for a long time for various reasons. They've become pretty cheap and this one is fitted with the new Windows 7 system as well.

Don't catch a cold Iziie!!!!

@Izzie,
As wandel says, great pictures, but we are having record breaking lows here in Florida. Just got my heating system repaired, but literally froze for three or four days.

Incidentally, hun.You might want to check out the benefits of raw/whole milk as opposed to pasteurized milk.
