Hi ddxx, have some good news for you! Heatwave will end tomorrow when we'll have 30 degrees, followed by a couple of days in the mid twenties. Will be nice over Easter with days in the low thirties, unfortunately no rain forecast! Good night, have a great sleep, we'll talk to you in the morning.

Thank you for the invite Izzie to organize a night out for the crew. After our hectic Arabian night party I propose something a little slower, namely a typical outdoor Australian BBQ on the patio. The weather will be balmy and the Bear is most anxious to demonstrate his culinary skills. Just bring yourselves, your appetite, your thirst and be casually attired. We'll cater for the meat eaters, the vegetarians, the seafood eaters, the drinkers and the non drinkers. You won't go short, we'll even provide the music. Just to whet your taste buds a photo from my last bbq. Laughing

I grow mint in my backyard. We had a couple of days of forty degree weather, and the mint(which is a perennial) popped its head up in a few places.
I too, have been procrastinating, with our taxes. I do have turbo tax, so, it should be a piece of cake.
How are your animals?
I have the same tax software. Now I know what you're talking about (with the mint sprouts). My animals? My dog is doing fine, but my cat isn't. She has turned diabetic and is losing weight rapidly. My last cat was diabetic and I had to give her insulin. She would go into diabetic comas and I would have to rush her to the vet. I am not going to have my current cat go through all that. Otherwise, I am letting nature take its course Sad

OOOOOOOOOOOhhhh TTHun - know the feeling about the kitty - had to have mine put to sleep a few years ago - but didn't want him to suffer any more. Was the right thing to do for him - but very sad. Sad (((xox)))

VBV - A2K had a few "hamster" problems on Friday and had to clean out the cages - but seemed to be up and running on Saturday. I had a few problems posting on Sat pm. but all appears fine now. Glad you got back on - it's nice to see you here girl. Smile Our Bear's having a few hiccups with his line too - hoping he will be sorted out in the morning.

TTH, aren't you one big problem. Laughing Laughing

Nice to see verbivore again, had visions she lost her way after the party, looking for the Bear. Would I be so lucky. Smile

Hello Izzie, you must be still in your bunk, will peep in later and bring you a smile. Trust you're floating gently on those tootsies of yours.

Good morning all! Dutchy - great idea and so nice to know you cater for vegetarians. Been one for thirty years but do like scallops, oysters and the occassional piece of fish. Your culinary skills look good. I will bring smashed potatoes - so easy and go great with barbeque food. Smile

Looks like I missed out on the food! Ah well I'm a veggie too but don't eat fish so just as well. You could have done some Corn or veggie burgers! I have just realised I have eaten soup for lunch and soup for tea, well at least it's food!

Well ship seems to be sailing along nicely, have done the rounds and all ship shape I think!

And all night long they sailed away;
And when the sun went down,
They whistled and warbled a moony song
To the echoing sound of a coppery gong,
In the shade of the mountains brown.
'O Timballo! How happy we are,
When we live in a Sieve and a crockery-jar,
And all night long in the moonlight pale,
We sail away with a pea-green sail,
In the shade of the mountains brown!'
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Hey WW-WOM

Thanku for that girlie. Ship is sailing nicely with the wind.

You haven't missed the food hun - it's round to Bears for a BBQ on Wednesday - and he does do veggie - he's a Koala and only eats greens! Hope all went well today. Been thinking bout you. Smile

OK crew - well, it's St. Patricks Day today….. so as a tribute to the Irish and the ship I sailed 20 years ago - here's my Oz pics which I have been looking at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW STRANGE IS THIS - 20 YEARS AGO I was travelling round the world and sailing a ship - to the day, I am sailing around the world on another ship. HOW COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Asgard II - Irish Tall Ship in Aus 88 (some of you have seen already methinks - but for those who haven't - izzn't she stunning?)

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/1175/2016ad0.jpg

We limped into Port Welshpool. I'm by the helm - tho that had NOTHING to do with why we ran out of fuel - storm lasted 58 hours!

44 knots w/s - Force 9 - check out the lines - IT WAS SO SCARY! But what an adventure.

So. moving swiftly on - Kakadu National Park - (4 months later)
Croc.Dundee tree at UDP falls (me at the top of the tree, Mark and Sarah)

Water nymphing!

Climbed to the top of UDP - OMGosh - just how beautiful can it get? A piece of heaven (but very, very hot and humid!)

OK - that's me done with the photos today (yawn yawn) - would imagine it looks just the same now as it did then - unspoilt.
