@annis,
Morning crew and hi annis. Good to hear you are busy, keeps you out of trouble, enjoy the weekend with your favourite singer. Hope your massage business takes off.

Very mad this morning, Government is going to raise our water rates by a massive 30% next year. Our inflation rate is only 1%, how can they justify that? Politicians would have been the greatest hypocrites walking this earth I have no respect for them whatsoever!

Where is our good Captain, still sleeping? I hope she is, sounded like she needed it. Will be back later, cheers for the time being.

perhaps the water department has found out that you are flushing too often ?
perhaps they want to "restrain" you ? Laughing

the solution is easy :
cut your flushes by 50 % and you have them beat - or visit the neighbours a little more often - i bet they look forward to your visits .

... ... ... there is always the outhouse ... ... ...

ooooooooooh.... so tired...

Headmaster is the best. He was sat in the House of Lords yesterday, came back for the concert and said having felt like a big wig yesterday, to do what he did to telday just to sit today and watch his children sing and perform was the greatest honour ever, all unique individual children, playing, confident, the amazing peripatetic teachers... oh it was superb. My parents drove me (exhub turned up as I thought he ought to know, told me he wasn't coming, then turned up hmmmmmmmm. Little fella didn't know we were going. Met with some friends from long ago..

little fella was a star - truly

the children are so very talented.

Too tired to discuss my day at school, Tomorrow. Sorr, no crew carol tonite.. sorry, wasted,,, midnite +17- must sleep

@Izzie,
Girl...that mind of your must be full speed at all times. Very Happy I am going to tell you like I tell my little boys...close your eyes, deep breaths - think - of - nothing. I bet that's not possible for you huh? Well...I have issues with it myself sometimes...so I'm preachin' to the choir so to speak. Wink

I am pretty worn out myself. One more day of school then a weekend of getting the house in order...Oh man...I just remembered I have to make fudge and divinity tonight...shoot. shoot. shoot.

You take it easy girl...

Hey y'all (everybody!) Annis - I am so proud of you for how much you have done...I, like Dutchy, wish you the best of luck with your business.
I have been reading - Hamburger - that is quite the nice little outhouse...is it heated by any chance? Razz

Didge - that stew sounds amazing...how was it?

TC...how are you feeling today girl?

All of you take care. I am going to go get that stuff done...shoot. I got a bottle of wine for an early Christmas present and was going to have a couple of glasses...I am thinking that is not such a good idea now that I have to be making that candy. Pooh.

Very Happy

S'alright...there's always tomorrow night.

Hugs y'all
IZ - GO BED. (I stole that phrase you know Wink)

@Dutchy,
TC " how ya doing girl? You better? Did you manage at work OK? Those antibiotics are ugh, aren’t they? I ended up taking probiotics too coz the anti’s killed all the tummy bacteria. 10 days tho " and they did work eventually. Still coughing a little (every so often, sounds very fake actually) but I am oh so very tired. Hoping you are able to cope " I have no idea how you manage to stand for that length of time.

Hey McT " The Messiah, I think our Missy and the Professor were singing that last year? I love to hear people sing " the little fella’s school concert last night was just incredible... the kids who were singing, well... they were so young and had incredible voices " take’s so much courage to stand up and perform, I could never never never do that now " tho I did play music on stage. It was really strange, as we drove up (my parents drove me up " that’s a whole other story Wink ) we arrived at the school my Mom said “gosh, to think these trees have been here since my Father was here! Being back at the school my brother and Grandfather went to and seeing the little fella there, up on a stage and performing and so happy in his school days, well, that’s a huge blessing. I went to the sister school (girls boarding) and had the most amazing time at school, love, love, loved boarding school and the sisterhood.

Anyhoo, it was an amazing evening " didn’t finish ‘til 10pm and despite trying to sleep (with a spinning head for other reasons, didn’t have a good night and have struggled today.

Yesterday, at my school, was yep Dj, crahhhhhpy " had to laugh tho " also had to make an executive decision (Headteacher was away), and executive decision is said very loosely " septic tank had errrrrrrrrr... overflowed, backed right the way up into the errrrrrr toilets and had to call in the emergency crew. Coincidentally, one of the loos started leaking and we had errrrr stuff throughout one area of the school " so, got NO work done at all, was just firefighting all day " good thing was, the staff that were there worked well together as a team and it showed " and a very nice man who I was supposed to be in a meeting with, put on some rubber gloves and mucked in! Bless him, he stopped the leak, crew turned up, flushing toilets, help disinfecting, headteacher returned. OOOOOOOf. Million other things also going on during the day, but we managed. Slighly shambolic in places " but, hey ho!

BEAgle " hope the surgeries for bro and SIL are successful and all will be good with them. Fear of losing eyesight is my biggest physical fear. I bet MrsBEAgle is beside herself excited about the g-kids coming down " that will be lovely. I still find it hard to imagine Christmas in a hot country. Hoping we will get a dusting of snow sometime, really, really hoping. Sorry to hear about your water rates " government seems to do whatever they choose to a? I’m thinking a nice little island off the coast of Italy, Portgual or Greece would suit me " out of ordinary, quiet and answering to fewer folk. Hmmmmmmm.

Hmaburger " a WINTER dunny. Ooooooooooh, just a little nippy to go for a tinkle... gawsh! Like the “moon” on the front of the door tho! Hoping you are well Hamburger " it is lovely to see you around. ((Hbg))

Missy " I’m pleased you can speak openly about the Prof now, it’s hard for you to keep things closed down and here, you can just say whatever you wish and are feeling without having to keep jolly all the time. ‘Twill be hard " but I believe the Professor is resourceful and you will be alright. You will make it so even when it may be difficult to do. So glad you have family support from MaMa and PaPa. You will have a wonderful Christmas and yes, having the Professor home is a blessing. Have been trying to upload something for you onto youtube, but it’s not playing nicely " hopefully, later.

Stormy " hey girl, not much longer ‘til the end of term a? We have 2 more weeks and then 2.5 weeks off. So much going on at the end of term " plays, music concerts, off to the Panto, Christmas Fayre " it’s madness at school. The kids are so excited and the Christmas Card box is being filled already. Enjoy your weekend.

Dj " GREAT stew! Little fella and I cooked stew t’other day (only mushrooms and onions with beef " not really a stew) but it was DIVINE! Love the pics of the finches on Boida’s thread, colourful little boids " gorgeous.

Alex " hope you have keys and a fish. Do tell, are you knuckling towards another motorcycle? Gloves love, you need GLOVES.

JPB " how’s the piano lessons going " are you gonna be playing Chrissie Carols? Hope all is good with the B’s and you’re getting with Crimbo flow. Got your e " will e back soon. x

Tulip " good news re salon, verra good news, you’ll be up and running / massaging in no time. Keep the day job for a bit a? Glad you got the holiday dosh " 2 weeks time you’ll be in the snow. So wish..... Have a great time with sis and I know you will love the concert. You know he’s gonna be looking right at you again " yeah! HAVE FUN!

I gotta go get tea....

<what is wrong with youtube, why won't it upload Shocked> grrrrr

Greetings crew! Didn't mean to go AWOL but I'm back to work and busy. Day off today but that meant errands and laundry (I wear a uniform -- have to stay on top of the laundry) and now cooking ahead as I work this weekend too!

Woke up yesterday and thought, Hey, I don't feel totally horrible Very Happy so I guess I'm truly on the mend.

Feel your pain Dutchy. My city water board asked us to conserve water a couple of years back. We've been doing too well I guess as there's no money for needed upgrades. City Hall didn't want to raise taxes, so...you guessed it, they've upped the water rates! Our reward for conserving water!

Love it when dj and alex talk cooking <drools> I've got something ragout-ish in the oven and it's starting to smell good.

Hope everybody is keeping well. (mismi, don't over do it!)

Here I gotto say something! I might sound emotional..too sentimental..but I owe it a lot to Izzieee.. I just cant tell you how much..
thre were hell lotta time i felt I had just none in the world..and there shed be calling from miles across when my brothers few kms apart couldnt care to..

There shed be almost crying out of happiness for me when all my relatives in the so called "Real world" could do was a courtesy 'hi'!! or call us if there arises a need!

There shed be asking how "I" am when my inner soul had ceased to believe in the existence of such a person..

remove the word.."virtual"..or yabber..or nething..
she was the sole true soul..who poured warmth such genorously whn i was stupidly craving for some! and yes all of u who sent it thru her

Animals get to enjoy the festive season, too. Children all over Europe will wake up on Dec. 6 to find their shoes brimming with sweets and chocolates -- brought to them by St Nicholas. The tradition is also apparently practiced in the Hagenbeck Zoo in Hamburg. Here a ring-tailed lemur enjoys a boot filled with apples, nuts and raisons. It's the sharing part he hasn't quite mastered yet.

I found this photo caption on another site. Could someone please explain to me the significance of Dec. 6 in Europe?

HEY VERBY! So happy to see you and see what you named that sweet baby. What a sweet sound that cry is I am sure. So glad Iz was able to support you so well through all of this. She is a special lady - there is no doubt! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and E and Hrehaan. ((Mamaverb))

Good day. Got the fudge and divinity done. The Prof has an interview in an hour. Deep breath...hoping for the best. We may have snow tonight here in the deep south...though looking outside right now you would never know! It is beautiful...I guess I will believe it when I see the snow coming down...I really do doubt it at this point. Dagnabbit.

Hugs to all...

Hey Crew... few minutes of your time folks...

http://www.thesweetbasket.com/images/balloon/Welcome%20Baby%20Boy%20Bouquet.jpg

MaMaVerby " I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to see you here darling. I’m so glad you are home sweet child and that you have your baby Hrehaan with you. Your crew were with you all along and yep, I agree, not just a virtual world. Ahhhhhhhh.... it’s so good to know you are home. Will call you tomorrow (my morning, your afternoon). Please do hug Eby for me and give Hrehaan a smunch. Love you I. X Very Happy

TC " good to see you and you do sound a little better Very Happy So pleased to hear that.

Tulip " send my love to B-sis. So sorry to hear about J " keep me posted on how he’s doing OK. X

(((JPB))) - love ya girl x

Tsar " ya know, I dunno! I don’t think we do the St. Nicholas tradition in the UK " well, I’m prolly wrong, but I’ve not heard of it. We have chocolate Advent Calendars here, you open a little door each day in December and there is a chocolate behind the door. Perhaps our Eurocrew t’other side of the channel will jump onboard and let us know if they celebrate this St. Nicholas tradition. Good to see you here Stephen.

(((Dj))) " ha!

BEAgle " yuppers, Iza here. Actually, haven’t been outside the door " can’t make myself go out right now <spins> and the weather is absolutely appalling so, good excuse to stay in! Go get your chores done hun and I’ll hope to see you later.

Finally " youtube finally allowed me to upload the little fella... now, he got a little embarrassed because he got a little nervous toward the end and we have a “oooooh sorry” " but he carried on and was just utterly brilliant. He was second up on stage.... very, very brave.

It’s very quick, hope you’ll listen " it’s his grade 2 piece (he’s taking his grade next term)

Flute ensemble (little fella on the right " he’s so wee)

And Finally Finally...

Missy " Last nite " ‘twas funny, not funny haha " but, in the middle of the concert you popped straight into my head " and then the choir master announced the next song.... it was this

Irish Blessing

(thought of PaddyBoy too)

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you:
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

((((Blue))))... xox

Lovin’ y’all.

oh....

OK "so here’s the Crimbo toon for the night....
http://www.the-north-pole.com/carols/letitsnow.html
now sing-a-long, I would so not like to be the only stupid one to be singing Wink

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the crew is so delightful,
And as we go with the flow,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

MaMaVerby is here and cheering,
And we are no longer fearing
His name “Hrehaan” to show
Baby Beau! Let him show! Let him show!

The Professor will be on good form
Missy will keep the home warm
Glasses in hand, they’ll be right
With a bottle of wine later tonight

Oh, The ship is sailing, we’re flying Wink
And with crew there’s no good-bying,
So, as long as we love us so,
Here we go, Here we go, Here we go!

Razz

And now for the real deal....

Missy, wishing snow for you.
