@Izzie,
That S'boy is so good! I loved it...I could hardly tell where he missed. Yes...so very brave. I have my own issues with stage fright...so I feel for him! He will learn to use those nerves to sharpen his talent. Love that song Izzie. Thank you for thinking of me. Such a sweet blessing.

Oh and snow...I am hoping and hoping! Thank you for joining me! I am so like a little kid. And - I get to drink my wine tonight...yay yay yay!

The interview went great - they said they will be doing the next one soon. So this is promising. We want a job...our fear is that we will be taking a MAJOR pay cut...I know...it could be so much worse...re-learning to live off of less is nothing. But there is this tiny(okay - not so tiny) part of me that wants so badly not to have to change to this way of living permanently. It is really hard. It takes so much self-control and time to be cost efficient. It sucks! And it's not like we were rolling in the dough before...but it was easier. Now that's a bad attitude. Got to get that fixed for sure. We have so many things to be thankful for. I don't think it is even wise to voice that kind of selfishness...but, unfortunately - it's how I feel. Yucky me.

Izzie - I love how you can take songs and re-write them to include everybody! Just love it.

Still just love that Verby came on today and shared with us.

Read again through all you went through dear Mamaverb...but it is such a relief sitting here knowing all is well and how happy we are that he is home and that you are doing well too!

((JPB)) thinking of you.

Dutchy - Are the grandbabies here yet? ((you too))

TC- hope you are getting stronger and stronger...

Hugs to you all...I gotta go get some more stuff done. And all the boys are outside playing football. So - I only have a few minutes to get it done before they are all underfoot again!

@djjd62,
We had a wee dusting this morning. Edgar posted a musical snow "poem" on Letty's thread. I love it!

Poem inspired by song, written by mom

Stone faced, snow laced, colorless, sunless and still
Clouds once racing have stopped overhead and
are now in no hurry to move
solitary figures advance
Their steps obliterated as soon as they pass
Fire through a window the only light we see
Warmth out of reach, beyond you and me
And the snow falls

Trees once leaf filled, silhouettes in a white field
their branches reach out to the sky
But the clouds block the sun, their work is not done
They've got much more snow to let fly

Laughter is carried on the wind as we're buried
The sounds of life but a dream
We struggle forward as the wind pushes back
It's a lonely battle we're in
And the snow falls

The cold is biting, sometimes not worth fighting
the landscape seems harsh and cruel
But underneath the blanket patiently waiting
is a seed in a sacred womb

@mismi,
Hey, sweet you!

One day at a time, chica. There are always choices along the path. Either choice can be the right choice if you make it so.

mismi thanks for the hug I so needed that today after Mrs. B spent up big for Christmas. Laughing The kiddies are arriving next Sunday week, should be an enjoyable time, they're good kids and very well behaved.

@Dutchy,
Morning Morning.....

7am I awoke... 7.a.m. I did manage to get off to zzz again for a little bit - but I reckon I have an internal alarm. My potion wears off after 5-6 hours! That's it - eyes wide open and that's usually that. Hmmmmmmm. I need much more sleep.

Grey and a bit miz outside tho there's a little boid singing up a symphony for me.

I.am.going.to.try.and.get.Christmassy.today.

Little fella is seeing his Dad today so I think I need to go and tackle the loft. Earlier this year I had someone come in and they re-insulated the loft with a foot or so of insulation (government scheme for us low income folk Shocked I really shouldn't complain about the government, they do help people out, it's just the whole unfair system - don't get me started - yes, I am talking to myself) - of course they, the insulation boys, moved all the boxed loft "stuff" to one side of the loft and i'ts not accessible without having to go over this insulation (nasty 'ole stuff this insulation - so.... I am hoping I will be able to see where I'm going and not put my foot thru any ceilings (my brother did that twice last month trying to fix his TV aerial Shocked he wasn't happy!)

So, gonna go and do some chores and throw everything lying around into the garage that I can't move in and then have a bit more space for Crimbo stuff.

(trying, trying really hard to be Christmassy here - to be honest, without my children here I would prefer not to be doing this, I'd do a few lights that's all) but that would be oh-so-very bah humbug so I have to get myself into "little fella will be here all except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.... he LOVES all the decorations, mode" (R-boy will not be here at all). Lights, gonna go and find the fairy lights... I LOVE THE LIGHTS - gonna have lights all over the conservatory and outside.....

I can do this. I can.

Will be back.

<goes to put on some loud Crimbo music to sing along too... LOVE Christmas music... lallaaallaaaaaaaaaaalallalalllaal Razz> will go and look for Edgars Crimbo thread Very Happy

C'mere ((((BEAgle))).... will hug you too. Glad you and MrsB got the shopping done. You're gonna have a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL time with the G-kids. Are M&K coming down too or are you kid sitting for a while? Pics, please send me pics, I bet they have changed so much already. Love those kidlets.

k....... off to sing.......................lllalalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallalala

ooh, may make a tea first...

ooooh, that'll be procrastinating already

k - gone to do

<tea>

@Izzie,
Hi Izzie, thanks for the hug much appreciated, you seem in high spirits this morning (late evening here) and am pleased about that. I do hope Christmas won't be to lonely for you, I'll try to keep you company if I have access to a computer. K. will drive the kids over, she will have an operation on her ankle and M. will most probably fly over and drive them back. He's already paid us by sending heaps of seafood over yesterday. Laughing Have a nice day. (((Izzie))).

Thank you Izzie, for providing the morning coffee background flute melody. That was nice. Beaming in England I bet.
. Snow, snow, snow your boat. Just a dusting. Need more white. Santas sleigh will need all the landing cushion it can get, those are all mine weighing it down....I have been extremely good this year.
Tree is up. Living room piney smelling. Pine cones crackling as they dry out. First night tree was up,..I awoke thirsty middle of night. I headed towards kitchen to retrieve a glass of water,...in the dark, bits of moonlight, groggy state of mind did not register phantom object (tree),...talk about dancing in the moonlight...

Sunshine to all.

Good reason to be proud of S-boy, Izzie.

Verbivore, your baby is a tough little boy. I hope and pray that he continues to make progress.

Alex was dancing in the Moonlight...

Alex, that made me laugh. Thank you. Had a start did you? Hate that...but really - quite entertaining upon you retelling it. Sorry Alex Wink

Bama verses Florida....should be a good game...go gators!

No Snow. wah.

S'alright. Finishing up the cleaning and getting the tree tonight. Found my gloves...will not have the scratches to my hands I had last year putting all those lights on the tree.

Take care all...have a good day.

Hugs,
Missy

@mismi,
I may need to borrow those gloves, mis.

Whoever decided that today was a good day to schedule a fundraiser walk doesn't live in Chicago, that's for sure. 22 degrees at my house. Bundling up and heading out...

Stay warm, crew.
