Brilliant,brilliant news about verbaby Captain.Thanks for keeping us updated.
Mismi,my eyes were a little moist as well,but that's not unusual,is it Captain! More good news-I've got The Girls (one of four and two of four) coming to stay in a couple of weeks.Not seen them for ages.Have,so far,avoided this horrible bug that's going around.Maybe it's because I'm out and about when everyone else is indoors (night time IS the right time Wink ).I also like the idea of Thanksgiving.Looks like a practice run for Christmas! Big roast dinners.You can't beat them!

Have you noticed that Americans say ThanksGIVING instead of Thanksgiving.

How odd.

I'm going to send Izzie something on e-mail which will make her feel better.

Maybe she will figure out a way to post it on A2K too.

Me, I'm fit as an overstrung fiddle today, now I've stopped my morning sneezing that is.

Did I tell you that I was a bit worried about a mole that was growing on the side of my bonce, and threatening to spoil my good looks?
Well I went to the hospital this week, and the man said no worries, is was not a mole but a sebaeous something-or-other, caused by reaction to sunlight, and he just froze it with a ten-second burst of a liquid nitrogen spray... dead cool, that..... and now it is dead and crusted over and it will drop off next week and I will be beautiful once more.

Good morning.

Very good news about verbivore and baby. Still keeping them in positive thoughts and will have a special "thankful for" for them at Thanksgiving dinner table tonight.

Hope everyone who has been under the weather is on the mend as we all head into a very busy holiday season.

@Stormwatch,
A day to give thanks... <dances a jig>

Verbaby has had his operation, they have removed the blockage in the ureter and he has come around from anaesthesia. Very Happy He's taken 2 feeds at 4.30pm and 8.30pm and he's just having a little O2 whilst he remains in NICU until he is stable. YAY YAY YAY FOR VERBABY and his MaMa and PaPa

SUCH GOOD NEWS.

Spoke with Eby today who again thanked everyone for their prayers and thoughts - gosh, he too sounded like a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders. They must be so exhausted being at the hospital - but they're on the home stretch now and ... well... there really is so much to be thankful for. He confirmed his parents will be staying for a while so when they get their little boy home, MaMaVerby will have the reassurance of someone else being there.

Just such good news. I am smiling like a cheshire cat Razz

@Izzie,
That is just such great news about Verbaby! That just makes me smile!

I'm looking forward to hearing from Alex too -- I want to know what he served! His descriptions of meals always makes me hungry.

Hope all in the States are having good food and fellowship and enjoying the holiday.

I'm still cough, cough, coughing -- BUT -- I slept for about 5 hours last night! So it's a brighter day for me today.

You must be feeling better if you're up to dancing Very Happy

@annis,
Morning crew, wishing all our American friends a happy Thanksgiving day, we don't celebrate that downunder but I have an idea what's it all about.

Thank you for the news about verbivore Izzie, so pleased things are looking up for her and husband. Will be pleased to have a dance with you on the poop deck. The last one was so cheeky. Wink

Babies are doing fine, Lemon is over 6' tall and carrying several fruit for next year, Orange is a lot slower and barely 3' high. Feeding them Alpaca droppings, they love it!

annis I'm not a mind reader, what's happened? Not like you to speak like that. Have a glass of wine and do cheer up.

Cheers all.

@Tai Chi,
Hey TC - 5 hours, better than 2 but still not enough sleep girl. OK... so, spoke with Tulip and ... she used Benzoine for F-boy - however, the best thing for chests and coughing is Thyme. Can you get MrFixIt to get some essential oils of Thyme - drop into very hot steamy water, tea towel over head and steam inhalation. Try it if you are able to get hold of some - but if not, rest up when you can and puff that puffer. (((((TC))))) - feel better. x

I'm ready for a dance - still not fit but getting there and coughing is much much less, head hurt is much better. Had to drive into the city today to meet with the lady I talk with at WB@Work. Hmmmmmmmmmmm... was there for an hour and a half... much of the time tho I couldn't get the words out - tears come down, no words come out. Too much to think about here so numb is sometimes better, that's what I do. Numb up. Anyhooooo... saw the loveliest sunset across the moors as I drove back and was just enjoying being out of the house and driving - safe in my car. Moors were super stunning. Got home, spoke with PaPaVerby - and was just so happy to hear their news that I decided it was time to put my virtual dancing shoes on. Very Happy Perspective.

Have strength holding my hand - so, I'll be just coco. Will will will. Am am am.

BEAgle - oh, bless our babies. Gosh, how well is our Lucy Lemon tree doing a? She's delish. Fabulous. Sounds like Olivia Orange needs some TLC...(the loveliest crahhhhhhp) - hmmmmm... Alpaca droppings - well, if you're gonna be dropped on, an Alpaca dropping sounds pretty classy!

Ah - Tulip had her big exam today - unfortunately the exam included questions that were not included in their syllabus - so it's very disheartening. She won't get the results for 6-8 weeks. She did the very best she could. She's got a couple more exams coming up in the next 3 weeks, so, she'll do what she does and get on with them - she's amazing in how she handles everything, tho I know she doesn't feel as tho she is. But she really is.

Tulip - will see you Saturday - get the Frankincense ready - I'm there! Try not to worry about the exam. 'Tis done. Just think, in just over 3 weeks you will be looking at the Northern Lights - oh, how I wish S-boy and I were going to be with you.

Can someone remind me please to take Tulips SD card over with me on Saturday.... ok..... I need a reminder Rolling Eyes

Raining here... there's a thing... rain rain rain rain rain... ENOUGH!

So BEAgle -

@JPB,
Oh noooooooo JPB.... I don't.... have pics. Can you believe that? I did take my little camera, but you know, it was one of those sunsets where the lighting was just the most amazing thing to see... the colours were so........ calm. You know.... just really calm - peachy colours, pinks, mauves purples, naturally blue, deep blues. I was actually loving driving so much, set the car to cruise control (never usually do that) and just literally drove into the sunset. It went so quickly. Gave me huge peace after trying to talk about R-boy and stuff. HUGE peace. I knew the sunset was being shared somewhere else in the world (yep, I know, that sounds a bit twilight zonish) - a photo would never have done it justice - couldn't have captured it.

Slap my wrist a? Razz

However, I do have a pic of my moooooooouse in the houuuuuuuuuuuse. Will see if I can upload the furry critter. (oh darn, potion, need to take my potion..... darn darn darn.... ha, you can tell I'm feeling better, not enough hours in the day now, last week there were 23.5 hours too many in each day.... looong ugh days - I'm rubbish at being ill. Now back on to short days Razz)

edit: oh jw, missed your post - happy happy day to you - hugs x

@Izzie,
ok... so... Murphy comes in mewing "Mom, looooooky here" - I see the tail of wee mooouse - then normally the drill is, grab the kitty by scruff of neck whilst being growled at by the cat "yyyyyyoo villl not get mew dinner" between clenched jaws - however, this time, Murphy went - "nah Mom, this ones for you" and promptly dropped Michaela mouse- at which stage she promptly ran as fas as he could scurry into the music room and under the bookcase with an air of "nyah nyah na nyah na" as she looked up lovingly at me. Then, sheesh, they're quick critters - she ran out and under the piano before i could box her. I think she was looking for Penny form the USwho is visiting from the US! She was no help (but then quite rightly, she is a hand puppet).

So it took days of 2 dawgs and 2 kitties on patrol taking watch over the piano for HOURS, whine whine whine. I half expected the little girlie mouse to come out riding on a motorcyle with Steve McQueen. The cats and dawgs staked him out. Evenutally, could not take the whining Maddie, and growling Kitty cat, no longer and had to venture in to the 8 legged devils pit commonly known as the gargage, go through boxes and find the mice traps and find some goodies to tempt the little lady.

Set one up under the piano pedal with dog food in and one up with pizza and chocolate under the bottom of the change. (was informed the mouse would NOT eat dog food - HA! so wrong!!!!) So, clever mouse somehow managed to open and remove the lid off the pizza and chocolate trap, promptly snaffling it...as it would....

not too clear, but you can see what's she's doing Practical gal a?)

lifts the lid... climbs up and over Shocked

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/DSC08823.jpg

(mind this mouse if teeeeny tiny ) and i watched in competely bemusement... so fI ixed the trap and wedged into under a chair (not a clue, as you can tell, what was I doing until 2am in the morning - I will catch this mouse is all I could think. Ah sheesh tho, she was awful cute, cheeky too.

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/DSC08826.jpg

she managed to LIFT the lid of.....

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/DSC08836.jpg

Finally, had to go to bed falling down <cough slputter knackered.> Came down in the morning after having to move the furniture to close the doors to the music room so swhe as locked in and the animals would quit whining whilst looking for their aperetif.... and lo and behold in the morining...

RESULT

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/whatever/P1020230.jpg

safe and sound and opened the box for maybe half a second when i got her ouside and locked the kitties in - and he was born free. Oh my.

Kitties brought two more in tonite - not so lucky, so fish food I'm afraid and lobbed into river. Sorry. Do what ya can a?

and that was the ship's bedtime story before I start to post ridiculous messages to unsuspecting folk who dont know me and must think me a complete plonker. Oh well. One tries... not to be a plonker, but this potion, as you know, loosen my gush side and my spellling deteriorates beyond recongnition.

Sooooooooooooooooooo

Nite nite my darlings. Glad y'all have had lovely days in the US and ..... look out, Christmas is coming (oh my)

********************************************************************************************

oh... one other quick thing... today, whilst talking it came out that when I have surgery, as I've always said, I can deal with that to a point - it has a positive (supposedly) outcome, it happens for a reason, there is a result at the end, it's done to enhance life......usually, make quality of life better...

being ill serves no purpose other than to make you feel rubbish and there's nothing at the end of it except... chronic fatigue, do I have a job, don't I have a job and the length it takes someone like me to get over an illness with the meds I take. Pretty much, nuisance value, serves no blooming pupose at all and with nothing an the end of it - except some worries. Surgery has a postive outcome. Illness... is just ... UGH - makes you feel terrible and you can be punished for it by a policy. Ho Hum.

OK -needed to put that out there, not very eloquently at this time of night, but it's worth saying in case it may ever make a difference to someone else.

OK... nitey nite... enjoy your evenings...afternoon, mornings - Lovin' ya'll. xxxxxx

(I must try not to post now - I am ridiculously random and make a total ar$e of myself and to others who don't know me so well - sorry - I am harmless - if illegible late at nite - ok.... think I just repeated myself - DOH)

BEDTIME Razz Razz Razz Razz

Love you crew - you're the very best. Get well soon TC and chin up Tulip. xxxxxxxxxxx

TC - how are you today, did you manage some sleep last night? Hoping you will be improving.

I am feeling relatively human again - still not quite all there - but a vast improvement from last couple weeks. Now... for some energy!
