Hap Hap happy Monday to all. How is the Izz today? S's cough?
More thoughts and prayers for Baby Verbivore.
Your birds looked bribed Izzie. Speaking of flying friends, the purple martins headed to South America, Brazil, for the winter. They did not ask me to tag along.
Another perfect day in Michigan. Sunshine everywhere, mid sixties. Bike and fish,...or downstairs electrical,.....fish, run romex,.........bike,....dark basement,.....sunshine,.or.....fluorescent,...heads,..or heads,....heads.
Two radio stations are playing Christmas music twenty four seven. Inspired me to purchase myself an early Christmas gift.
Little nephew started first grade this year. Yellow cards are earned, for disobeying the teacher, more then three times. Red cards, for earning three yellows, resulting in a "time out". Another week,..and my little buddy can play poker with his complete deck. I do believe school is making him less intelligent.
Off to the races.
Izzie

@alex240101,
Hey Alex

fish heads Alex... bicycles don't need keys - you're ahead already Wink ) Polly Perch. Talking of perches, yep, those boids love their sunflower seeds - easy pickings - there's a race between the feathered friends and the naughty squirrrrrrrrrrrrrrl who pops by to get his rations. Love that nuthatch - he's a gorgeous little boid. Of course, the blues are my treasures Wink

go, go and play - winter's coming, make the most of the sunshine hun.

guess what.... the sun is just breaking thru and I can see blue skies - it's taken all morning and some of the afternoon, the joy of living in a valley, by a babbling brook - the lighting is perfect - not too harsh - love it!

@mismi,
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

we need a big posivibe for our MaMaVerby please, all your prayers and ommmmms

VerbyBaby is not faring so well today and had to be put back on the ventilator. He managed for 2 days and one night breathing on his own, but he needs a little bit more help at the moment.

They are unable to operate on him until he is stronger. MaMaVerby is very tired and struggling to keep positive, she says "if there was just one thing that would work, then that would be good" - she's finding it hard to find something to hold onto - expressing her milk is taking it's toll because she has to do this every 2 hours, each time it's taking some time and then she rests for a hour or so and has to express again. She's very low today and finding it hard to keep her spirits up. This is so, so hard for her and Eby. She's exhausted.

She wishes to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers and asked to ensure everyone knows she is so very grateful for thinking of them - and could everyone please continue to pray for her little boy.

Eby is having to work so she's on her own at the hospital for much of the time, amongst the many doctors and nurses, until he can get there - NICU is very hectic and busy and it's hard to rest up.

So, crew - needing a big sploodge of energy here for our Little One.

OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM and some more prayers .....

have arranged to call her again tomorrow and will hope for more positive news.

If anyone has any words of reassurance, please let me know - I don't know I'm saying the right things - so, your thoughts ... if any, please. I guess it's more about listening to her - she was tearful today and she talked for a while...she's just totally exhausted

ok........... OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

S-boy still has a high fever but he's a little brighter in himself. He'll be right in no time, I'm sure. No school for him tomorrow methinks, he needs to get some good sleep.

((((Missy)))) - have fun today girlie. Thanku. x

@Izzie,
I am glad he seems more himself. I hope his fever breaks soon. You are right to let him rest Izzie. How are you?

Good day. About to get a wee bit rainy...My folks are expecting a very annoying Ida in the morning. The hurricane should be nothing but a really bad storm...but you never know...they produce tornadoes and plenty of wind so I am wishing they would board it all up and come up here with me...we will just get a little water...like we need that either. No happy medium when it comes to the weather it seems.

Hmmmm....what to tell Verby....there is nothing that can alleviate the worry - not while he is on a ventilator. She will worry, but knowing we are thinking of her and that our thoughts are with her should comfort some.

As far as expressing the milk is concerned. It IS hard. It does get old...but if she is able to hang on just a bit longer...that baby will be home and she will be so glad she kept it up. She will love nursing him and it's just so darn cheap (speaking from a frugal standpoint...it was a huge blessing with the twins). There is no easy way to do that though. It is just hard.

Just encourage her to sleep when she can and make sure she is eating well. She will need all that energy when he is home. Please do tell her there is not a day that goes by that I am not thinking about her and Eb and the Verbaby...she is being prayed for MANY times a day. My boys are even praying for them now.

I have to go get the three little whirlwinds from the bus stop.
hugs y'all,
mis

@mismi,
Morning crew hope you're all doing well. Wise words mismi coming from the lips of an experienced and devoted mother, verbivore will take heart out of them.

Izzie, how is S-boy, improved with your tender loving care?

On my trip to the beach yesterday, saw a helicopter and two ambulances converging near my favourite spot, knew immediately what was going on, shark attack. 20 year old man, who was spearfishing in the shark's domain, was grabbed and mauled. Very lucky to suvive with serious bites to his shoulder and legs, will be hospitalised for quite sometime. So this hero walked no further than his knees into the water. Laughing

Popping in quickly to say "hi". Will continue to think positive thoughts for Verbivore and her little guy. I don't know what to suggest re: reassurances for Verby but I hope someone is mothering her a bit. Of course the main focus is on the baby but please remind her when you speak to her Izzie how important it is for her to look after herself -- eat properly and stay hydrated especially if she wants to nurse (which definitely makes 3AM feedings easier!) All moms worry but she'll deal with the stress more easily if she's looking after herself. (Lecture over.)

Hoping your young fella feels better soon (and anyone else under the weather). I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself here. Missed a step on a ladder an hour into my shift Saturday...<whump>.....timberrrrrrrrrr! Nothing broken -- pride's a bit battered. Managed to finish the shift and dragged myself in again yesterday. T'ai chi today has me moving a little more smoothly. Oof -- when did I get old?

Oh my goodness Tai Chi, you and mismi make a good pair when it comes to accidents. Have a feeling you're both blondes. Pleased you weren't hurt and are moving freely, don't know if mismi has abandoned her white feeler stick yet and can do the same. Razz

@Izzie,
Well am still revising but couldn't go college today, Sgirl has the bug that Sboy has I think! coughing, sore throat and high temperature! So she hasn't been to school either! Am dosing her up on Vit C and zinc, Calpol and flue remedies! She sounds like she has smoked 20 cigs!

Cold weather, heating on and lasagna (is that spelt right, don't think so, but you know what I mean!) cooking! Off to do the mothering bit again!

Wishing Sboy well, prayers to Verbiboy, and love to all X

@annis,
I hope that Tulip's daughter and Izzie's son get better soon. (All the news about H1N1 is really alarming.)
