@wandeljw,
Ooooooooh POKER...
I nearly played that with the anaethetist today - he stabbed and I was close to saying, very sweetly "you do that again, and I'll poker ya in the eye, buddy!"

"you think I've got a flush on, wanna call my bluff?"
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Crew
So happy to see y'all. Thank you all so much. Oh, you've no idea.
just one thing to say...
WALK IN THE PARK!
I am absolutely fine and all is ticketyboo. I've quite a lot of localised ankle pain and am verra sleepy (ha, nothing knew there then

) but as far as I know, everything went exceedingly well - all the tendons have now been cut - can't feel my toots at all, i.e. no pain there - just my ankle is terribly sore. When they went in they discovered the ankle tendon had a "nib" on it and was ripped - they removed the 'nib' and tidied up, without having to cut into the bone. Verra good news. I have an ankle block, on morphine and have my foot in the air... 'tis very painful - but only the ankle, toots are no probs at all

Can't feel 'em.
G stayed the whole day and has just left. It made a difference. He came down with me to theatre (the nurses were really kind as I was a bit of a mess so they made an exception to the rules - how kind were they) - the vein in my hand was kaput and after 4 IV stabs I'd become totally hysterical - absolute pathetic whus that I am. So, they put a mask on my face (hello Eleanor) and put me out with gas and air (stoopid smile on face apparently), then put the IV in and... the rest is history
I know this must have been really hard for G to watch. He stepped up huge today - as for his family and the things he told me last nite, well, no worries - I let his family into
my life in Ireland and over the past couple months, not the other way round, now, I can just as easily let them back out and close the door for the time being, 'til I feel a little stronger. They're good people, very, it's just I'm nothing to them - which is OK. I began to trust - doh me - falling house of cards! Nem'mind, 'tis done and it's fine. Not my problem.
So........... thanks all for being here and it's soooooo nice to see you playing with a deck, on the deck.
I reckon my recovery will be very speedy and I'll be up and running in no time.
Wishing the same, and quicker if at all possible, for our Boida.
Oh.... I've just stood up already - can't put my foot down, but jeez, I make a great flamingo. Anyone for a flamenco?
Spanish musical genre ...known for its intricate rapid passages, and a dance characterized by audible footwork. Who knew!
