@lmur,
Sunday morning downunder and about to sit down for breakfast. Trust you all had a good and busy day as it is pretty quiet onboard. Yes, Lmur that was quite an incredible story. The little fellow is set for life as the media from around the world wants his story.

Will be around later, cheers for now.

@Dutchy,
Morning Crew

Wishing all a great day today.

Yesterday - mmmmm- went to the beach. Everything it should not have been - mem'mind, learning. Gorgeous sunshine, fabulous skies and the tide coming in fast. Spent a few hours just sitting by myself behind my lens, perfect, no noise, litsening to the waves - that's quite hypnotic - I was freezing - can't ever remember feeling so cold. Chilled to the bone. Worth it to see the sunset.

Bit of craziness on way home, pitch black, with a car driving up the wrong side of the dual carriageway at 60mph- called 999 - whilst 2 of us drove up ahead and alongside t'other car, flashing the oncoming traffic that was heading straight for the car in the dark - scary as hell, near misses. The blues and twos took about 15 minutes to arrive (why????) overtook my car and parked up in the fast lane this side ... fella jumped out the car, jumped over the barriers and hurled himself in front of the oncoming car. Gosh. VERY SCARY. VERY BRAVE. Don't know what else they could do, mind - car had to be stopped - so scary watching in your mirrors just how near the misses were and knowing there wasn't a thing could be done- ugh - felt sick. (Why didn't they just pull over onto the hard shoulder even if they were facing the wrong way?)

All in all, bit of a near miss day really - just very grateful no-one in the cars was hurt.

Going out with Tulip shortly. Need some raucous laughter...

later crew. x

Boida - you are in my thoughts..................................

@Dutchy,
OOOOOh did we do some tree surfin! did we? Yeah of course we did! Iz did so well completing 2 courses of 50 Feet up in trees with zip wires and ladders and the like. Iz, am proud of you girl! S boy did all the courses, 3 in all well done him! Apart from the mishap of needing to pee and Sboy did so 50 feet up in the tree canopy but with a few on lookers LOL!!

My daughter did all of the courses well done her! But my son, F boy could only do a few due to his heart but he did a few, ok less than he did last time as he has an aortic dilation. He was a little upset but he still did what he could. I did all 3 along with my daughter and do I ache!!! Am in need of the wine!

But in all a brilliant day! Very tiring though!

Been contemplating going to see a pyschic tomorrow night not sure if I should go. Could I cope with it, don't know but so many questions needing answers. would it be right? mmmmmm

Well wishing you all well and a good evening XX

@annis,
Ah that's sounds great annis all them monkeys climbing trees. Smile Who wet their pants? Laughing Not the Captain surely?

Follow your feelings annis if you have questions on your mind that bother you, but also try to remember there are questions that will never be answered, it is better not to dwell on them to deeply, and I talk from experience.

Bosun and Mrs. Beagle and a couple of friends went for a long drive on Sunday through our beautiful hills which are at their prettiest at the moment, all a deep green. Stopped at a cosy bush restaurant and had Devonshire Tea.

Busy week ahead so I better get cracking.

@Dutchy,
It sounds more like S'boy decided to pee in the woods just like my boys like to....the only problem was he was up in the tree- with others looking on! That is funny! Sounds like so much fun Tulip and Izzie. Proud of you all...love doing those kind of things!

Hey there Dutchy, how are you this morning? Wink

I am blue. Missing my big ol' little brother already. And his wife...holy cow my stomach hurt I laughed so hard this weekend. She is hilarious. But now the house is so quiet. We have a ball game this afternoon and it's COLD! brrrr

J is getting to pitch today...so I am bringing the camera....I am afraid he is a little nervous.

Gotta run...hugs to you all!

Dear Crew; I find my work with ‘CANOE’; the Committee to Ascribe a Naval Origin to Everything, has been concluded and I am now in a position to attest that, 'Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey' comes from brass ship's fittings and that POSH means 'Port out, starboard home'. But neither of these is correct and has no documentary evidence to support them.

I hope to file a fuller report early next week at the telegraph station on The Limpopo River, a copy may be available at the Royal Geographical Society, London. Otherwise…Tune in to the National Geographic channel.

Izzie; glad to see you are taking things easy and not putting your tootsies under stress!!! SHEESH.

Whilst hoping my fellow passengers are not facing the tribulations of Agatha Christie story of the river Nile; may I earnestly entreat Tulip to refrain from any hocus pocus involving a charlatan psychic. Please heed the stoic advice of Dutchy or Zeno of Citium.

May I also take this opportunity to repudiate Missy’s contention that she is blue. Of cause should the prognosis reveal she is feeling blue…well, I am showing admirable patience and endurance in the face of adversity without complaining!

Lol all.

@Izzie,
Izzie - great video. I am so proud of you. Truly, it makes my heart so happy that you do not accept pain, discomfort, frozen fingers and toots - you push through and do wonderfully brave, and amazing things. I should be so stalwart in heart. Love that about you...I am telling you...one day...You me and Charlie. Heels or no...some serious laughing going to be had.

J didn't get to pitch... though he played his part well...I could see my little peewee of a catcher in all that gear looking out the side of his mask at me as if to say- not this time either Mama. That's okay. He is an amazing catcher. I am proud of him. But in his heart - he is a pitcher. Love that little boy...as I do all of them. My sweet babies. I know how you feel Izzie...those kids - yank on the heart strings don't they?

Try...you would comfort me if I was blue? So sweet. Though I will have to re-read your post tomorrow (my mind is unfocused and scatters all over the place - I cannot fully understand your post...of course that may have to do with the two glasses of my Chianti...but anyway - tomorrow for sure)

My sun did not shine yesterday. I was sorely disappointed...but today - WOW. It was gorgeous. The sky was that deep blue, obviously thoroughly cleaned by all the rain and wind. Beautiful.

I still miss my brother. There is something so safe about his being here...maybe because he is a little piece of my childhood here in my adult world. Probably so.

Dutchy - enjoy your day!

Will see you all tomorrow I hope.
hugs,
mis

@mismi,
Loved reading your post mismi, you're getting as good as Izzie in telling your stories, straight from the heart. Your boys are so fortunate to have you as a mother. I've had a busy day and am now relaxing, Mrs. B is happy with what I've done and has cooked me my favourite dish for dinner tonight. Smile

Missy - thanku Very Happy We did have some fun yesterday - jelly legs - wobbled a lot - but worth the effort. Body is not too happy right now but not half as bad as I thought it may be. I'm running on adrenaline still and feeling slightly....lost at the moment. Said s'long to S-boy today when I put him on the bus... things then hit home a bit - won't see him for a bit now but he'll be fine and busy at school - he'll stay with his PaPa tonite and at school for the next 2 nites. Then he's on half term and will go between his PaPa and prolly my parents, maybe over to Tulips for a couple nites 'til I get on my feet again.

Anyhooooo - I should be doing something useful but feel a little tearful right now - I get that like about this time. Ultrasound thisavo.

Thinking of Boida too - know she is scared so mustering posivibes to Noo Yawk and well wishes to her.

BEAgle... glad you've got your chores done, happy to see you - love you D x

Going to vacuum the house now, mebbe.

Thanku thanku... <wipes away tears again> <so not big and brave - such a heap>

((((((((((((((((((((((crew))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

y'all don't know how much you mean to me!

I'm back and made a cuppa - have such a headhurt right now (too much thinking) and need to rest for a bit - had the ultrasound and darn ankle is smarting badly now; won't know what's going to happen until I see the surgeon in the morning. Ankle bone spur and nodules under both feet (my marbles that I walk on) - ack. Hopefully, he'll just steroid inject the joints after the tendons are cut. I'll be asleep - YAY YAY YAY - no pain. The ankle... well, I'm thinking will need a wee cut. I'll still be asleep - YAY YAY YAY.

Nem'mind.

Gonna rest up for an hour - gosh, I used muscles yesterday that I didn't know I had......... until today Shocked HA! Still smiling thinking about what we achieved Very Happy

Trusting (hmmmmmmmmmm) that G is going to drop me off at the hospital bright and early - fingers crossed! Ha - if he's a no show - boy - will he be in trouble this time! (course he'll show, course he'll show... repeat after me!) Arrow Neutral

(Tulip - if your phone rings at 6.00am... GUESS WHAT... you'll need to get dressed - hahahahahahahha! - ok, it really wouldn't be funny again - but, ya know!)

FQsis - if you read this - have left a message on the home phone. Call me tonite if you can sis - not sure if you're in the UK. Need to check some stuff with you - laughing to myself now Razz Will give G your mobile number and ask him to call you to let you know what's happening. Mom and Dad are on holiday in the Lake District and I haven't spoken to Kei-bro. Hospital has your number too. Okeydokey - laterz. xx

Thinking of Boida - hoping, with everything, that her surgery was successful. hmmmmmm... big huge posivibes for a quick recovery in Noo Yawk.
