@mismi,
Everybody is talking about the boy and the balloon in Dakoto. US. Here everybody is talking about this incident which was shown on our television screens around dinner time, I nearly choked when I saw the footage, but relieved to learn the baby escaped unharmed, just unbelievable.

@Izzie,
Just another example of how quickly bad things can happen. But what a wonderful thing that there are these mercies that come along and amaze us. Thank goodness that baby was fine. Amazing footage...I felt like screaming with the mom. Bless her heart. She is probably traumatized for life.

@Dutchy,
HOLY HELL!!!

I can't even imagine how horrifying an experience that was for the mom. Unbelievable!!!

So glad to see he escaped with just a bump on his head.

That kid has some good karma!

@Izzie,

Quote:
ooooooooh McT - egg and soldiers! oh, that is so childhood comfort food

Yes it is, but it is not the authentic Scottish soul food I mentioned. New readers start here:

Take a slice of good wholemeal bread.
Butter it thickly, and cut into cubes
Add salt and pepper at this stage, it's easier
Put the buttered bread into a big mug
Put two softboiled eggs into the mug (kids, discard the shells first)
Chop and mix the lot together
Add another knob of butter if you're feeling particularly self-indulgent
Mix again
Eat with spoon, and dreamy smile on face.

@Izzie,

Doing a bit better today thanks Izzie, and we both had a slow walk to the library, but still too weak to pull the skin off a rice pudding.

Sure Izzie ...that is a great song...and a great scene from that movie. But to be honest - this is my favorite....the Prof. rolls his eyes every time I talk about Volleyball...because he knows what I'm thinking about! Wink

@McTag,
THERE'S A MOOOOUSE, LOOOOOOOOOSE, ABOOOOOOOT THIS HOOOOOOOUSE! Razz

We have just rescued and let Hunca Munca scurry off into the hedgerow - thanked Kitty Cat very much for the prize and fed him cold wet food...

(t'other nite the big eared moooouse got thru the tiniest hole by the kitchen radiheater and is scurrying around under the floorboards!)

McT - so glad you are feeling a little better - will take you both a while tho to get your energy reserves back up - so do take care and have a restful weekend! AMBROSIA - rice pudding... just down the road! Very Happy

It's going to be a lovely day tomorrow - sunshine and blue skies - prolly going to the beach - then tree surfin' on Sunday with Tulip and kids - don't think I want to sleep at all - well, not that I sleep much anyhoo, but... ya know.

Shot on Perranporth Beach, Cornwall UK and produced by staff and the kids from the Humphrey Davy School in Penzance, this creative bit of video work has been selected as one of three contenders for the BOOM! awards - a national scheme that's designed to "inspire the teaching and learning of creative media and film production skills in the classroom."

Tom Baxter's single 'BETTER' will also feature prominently in the new film 'Run, Fat Boy, Run' directed by David Schwimmer (Friends) starring Simon Pegg (star of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead), which is released in the UK this September.

Gosh! Shocked That maybe where I'm going tomorrow. Weird connections...spoooooooky!
