Not eating yet, have now lost five pounds in weight (that's over two kilos, for my european readers) and so we're rather impatient for this bug to subside.

By the way (I know you won't be coming round here, but I'll tell you anyway) it seems to be Norovirus and we probably caught it on the plane. We've got to quarantine ourselves for 48 hours after the symptoms subside, and they haven't yet.

I don't recommend this to anyone.

Said s'long to my colleagues and left the office a little more orderly than it was this morning - there is such a lot of work to do - ah well - will have to work from home tomorrow with the things I couldn't get done today.

Will be back later on tonite hopefully Very Happy

@Izzie,

Izzie, good thoughts to you from us, hope the pain and inflammation subsides soon.

Tonight yes, feeling a little better, I had childhood comfort food- two softboiled eggs chopped in a mug with good buttered bread, salt and pepper.

So far, it's staying down. Nice.

@Izzie,
Morning crew, sorry to read about your pains Izzie, and the nasty bug that hit the McT family, hope there will be better days ahead soon.

JBP you hit the nail right on the head, I'm a lucky man. Smile Mrs.D is taking me out for a Friday lunch with a couple of friends.

mismi good to see you eat some wholesome food, I know it is Friday today and you'll have beer and pizza tonight, but you know where that goes, don't you? Wink Laughing

Heading for calmer waters now the Captain and McT are feeling unwell.

Cheers, a sprightly bosun.

JPB - hey girlie - how ya doin' today? Ahhhhhh... that was a sunrise... 'twas wonderful to watch... gotta sunset to post, if I can get a download going. Just as beautiful - but... there's something about a sunrise... you know, new day dawning and all as the rays pop out from behind the moors... mmmmmmmm. Very peaceful and ... the best time of day, especially with the mist in the valleys. Mysterious, ya know - deep. Thinking time. Hope today is being gentle with you and you're all alright. Love to all the B's. x

TicoM - would love to see Az sunrise sometime - you take care hun and happy new house to y'all. Very Happy x

Missy - how is your day? Has the sunshine arrived yet? Ha - I still giggle at some of the Americanisms... pants are "knickers"... unless you're commando! Pants here is "crahhhhp" too. Fanny packs... well, let's not go there!!!!!!!! Razz (heh heh). Oh... I'll concur with the Bosun - you are irresistable.... completely. x

TC girlie - how are you and yours? Hoping all is good in Canajun land and that work isn't too much of a grind. MrFixIt OK? Haven't seen bro around too much........... Dj - how's life in your part of the world? xx

Sprightly Bosun - lovely to hear that - I know just how sprightly you are - I can't keep up with you when we're having a cyber dance Razz Am so pleased you and MrsBEAgle are going for lunch. Have a great one and a lovely day to boot. Very Happy xx

((((Letty)))) - so very good to see you - thinking of you. x

Well, I'm mucho MUCHO improved from earlier - had a few really dodgy hours where it all got a little bit too much, heavy duties did kick in eventually but made me spacey (bit trippy actually - ugh), pain is under control right now, so that is all happy. No zzzzz's tho - gosh... that's such a nuisance. I kinda just lay there with images flashing at me and sleep eludes me, but I can't move. PANTS. Having a 'vial' session with the doc tomorrow - no doubt he will drain me dry - but it will be a good indicator of what's going on before surgery, so that's good too.

Have a busy weekend ahead so need to get better by tomorrow.

Have been watching the news about the little boy in the balloon... gosh... quite unbelievable to watch - where is that little fella? Hoping, wishing...

Smooches all, near and far!

@Dutchy,
Well...DEAR Dutchy...it only goes there if you sit on it too much. I try not to do that...I do have my moments though...okay more than just moments... Shocked Anyway - isn't beer and pizza health food? I thought I heard that somewhere. Is somewhere two words? Or one...yes - I am having one of THOSE kinds of days. ((Dutchy)) Enjoy your day!

@Izzie,
Aw Izzie...I am so glad to hear you have improved! I love the word "crahp". Like Bridget Jones says it....it sounds so much nicer than "crap"...I have always said even cursing sounds lovely when spoken with a British accent. I don't think I would be offended if I got cussed out by you. Wink

No sunshine still. It is grey and rainy and decidedly depressing. I have done a good job of keeping my chin up though...it is suppose to cool down drastically tomorrow and get clear. So this makes me very happy. I will get to see my beloved sunshine this weekend. AND my brother is coming to see me. I just love that big ol' boy so much! He is bringing his family of course and we are going to Boo at the Zoo Saturday night which should be a blast.

You are sweet Izzie...I am a pain in the tookus - I know it. Thankfully you all don't get to experience it first hand! Wink You just THINK I am sweet. Razz

Hugs to you...I have to clean up what I messed up to clean up...if you follow my meaning. Very Happy

I have a house like that right now... I did that big 'ole clean up job last weekend - you know, shuffle hoooooooose, and all the things I shuffled pretty much ended up where they started, but all the crahhhhhp in amongst shuffling still needs a place to go. I would LOVE to be able to really throw stuff out - I just can't make myself do it- terrible hoarder - tho I have got rid of some "stuff" (which was very good for me). I need to just box it all and put it in the car and deposit... ha - if only - I keep the weirdest things but they all mean something to me. As McT knows, I have a rather large slice of tree to make into a "something" - it's huge and is sitting in the conservatory ... it's funny (not haha funny, just strange funny), attaching memories to "things".

Verra happy for you that bro and family are arriving - ahhhh, you'll have a lovely time AND sunshine too. Know how much you enjoy being with him.

We're in for our first frost on Friday nite apparently - I'm quite looking forward to that - love those Jack Frost mornings and the crispness all around. You can feel the crunch - 'tis lovely.

@Izzie,
The Prof just called me and I got to tell him. He was even a little distressed about it...I am so glad the little monkey is okay! Bless his heart - he was scared of getting in trouble! I don't blame him. I am sure his parents are just hugging him and so grateful that he is okay!

THANK GOODNESS!

@mismi,
Yep - bless his heart - he'll prolly never let another balloon go again!

We lost R-boy once - S.Padre Island - he was about 8... we were on the dunes, it was over 100degrees - S-boy and I had gone back to the car and R-dad and R were lizard spotting - R went over one dune chasing a lizard..... and gone... GONE...in a heartbeat, disappeared - we were frantic - it was very surreal - I was screaming down the 911 phone, Texas Rangers came out - ack. R-boy had done a Forrest Gump and was running up the beach - was picked up by 2 people...

one of the scariest moments of our lives

literally, one minute he was there, next he was a dune away and felt like a million miles. Soooooo scary.

So so pleased that little fella is OK - been worrying about him alll evening, can only imagine how his parents felt.

Good to have a happy end to this day - big smile here.
