I tend to let my bushes straggle through the winter, even tho' I miss some early spring growth. Frost on stumps is not a good look.

Bazza - so pleased you're finally getting some time off - good golly man, rest up!

McT - they zapped my beautiful arch - it's all pretty, neat and nice now...... so not me - i loved it flowing, trailing and whispery, it had a life of it's own - they chopped it back! Did ask MaMa that they let me know if they are going to turn up in my house or do anything in the garden - she asked "why?"! I just said I would like to know because it's my house and garden and I may be doing something or have a friend over or anything, and I'd rather they weren't walking in and out without me knowing. MaMa was very put out. I think they feel they have an inherent right to walk in when they choose and do what they wish. Ha - did you notice they took my mail (that was ok) BUT opened it ALL - including my divorce papers and letters from my solicitor etc when I was away in the US She shouldn't have done that. Have tried for 3 years to get them to accept I need to me be and this is my way. Ah well. They don't geddit! They never do. Nem'mind. The arch will grow again - I know they were trying to help. Musn't complain (tho I believe I just did)! <hush-up girl, brie with my whine!!!!!>

well, how uber cool is that. He's a professional photographer and he actually did look at my pics, gobsmacked I am, totally, I mean - you poor folksies don't get a choice (you will see my pics hahahahahaha) - but he had a choice and he still looked - AND he rambles too! How happy is that! Well, that's just made me feel very snap happy. I especially liked the prolific shooter description - ha - that's me to a tee - "prolificIz.com" - LOVE IT... so laughing <that's laymans terms for sheeeeeesh, she takes a lot of photos!> So, big smile on my face - still haven't got the suitcase out... what's that all about a? Oh, isn't it just Mind you.... his pics are really professional and beautifully arranged and all - you know, he's the real deal, bit like the SheWoman, but, thing is, I know there's folks here that see my pics the way I do, not looking at it thru a professional eye - thru a friend's eye. Big huge difference.

I'll stick to my yabberin' and post a pic <or million and nine> because y'all do actually "get" my images. You see my world - rather than a photo - that's what my photography is to me - my feelings in the images. You guys geddit!

I am very happy that a professional photographer looked at your photos, Izzie. He wrote you a nice response (even though you described yourself as a "ditzy blonde").

For what its worth, Izzie, ElStud is a professionally trained photographer who has been described by his mentors as having an 'excellent eye'. I have shown him some of your photos on this thread, and he has commented that you also have an 'excellent eye' meaning you have that ability to see the picture and compose it effectively before you snap the shutter.
