Missy " ah, next door’s little fella arrived when I was on the phone with FQ " he’s such a cute little guy " and he loves to come over for a wee chat. He desperately wants to go the States " never stops asking me questions about Chicago (that is his “favouritist” place in the world that he wishes to go. Bless that little boy.

Since then been yabbering for FQ for another hour, oh no - whaaaaaaaa passport, surely not - so, then a frantic phone call to G...
it’s 11.30pm " have just taken my tablets...
The question of the nite “G, does your Mom have a passport?” “no” “does your mom have a driving license?” “she’s never driven a car”... errrrrr.. “does your mom have any photo ID?”... “no”
So... you can see the predicament!
We’ve trawled the internet - so many opposing opinions. However, the ferry company says this:
British citizens travelling to Northern or the Republic of Ireland do not need a passport but are advised to take a form of identity. Remember that the name on your passport must match the name on your booking, otherwise you may not be able to travel and your insurance may be invalid. Other passport holders should check with the relevant embassy regarding passport and visa requirements.
The Identity and Passport Service have recently introduced changes to passport applications - all first time adult applicants must now attend an interview and it will now take up to six weeks to get a passport. For more information please visit www.ips.gov.uk.
His Mom does have a birth certificate somewhere, he believes. It’s too late to call them now, that'll be tomorrow morning first thing.
So..... let’s hope we’re going a?
