Hey guys...I am sure Izzie is packing and getting ready to go home. I know many are going to miss her! Sounds like all thoroughly enjoyed getting to see our English Rose!
Well...I have had one of those days. G-baby had an asthma attack so we have been up at the Dr. for a few hours. Breathing treatments and steroids...yuck. But he is feeling and looking and acting much better now. I am exhausted! But thankfully - it was during the day and not the middle of the night.
I am going to start dinner...hope you all have had a good day!
hugs,
mis
Hi mismi, sorry to read about G-baby's predicament, I'm sure with your LTC he'll soon be his old self and giving you other headaches. (((mismi)))

@mismi,
Oh, ((( mis ))).... I'm sorry to hear about G-baby. I'm glad to see he's doing better but it must have been scary for both of you at the time.
Just got back from dropping Iz and S-boy off at the airport. Big, Big Hugs all around. I'm sorry to see them go. Next time for sure, hun, even if we have to come to you to make it happen.
I think I'm going to call it an early night. My sleep schedule has been a little.... um.... different these last few nights.

Looking at the time and figure Izzie's somewhere in the air zooming through the night somewhere over the Atlantic. Safe travels and safe landing, my friend.

Sorry guys,tracker didn't want to work.I tried another,that didn't work either??????
Anyway,the Captain has landed and is heading to the terminal.She's "tired but no probs".G will collect her and do the 4 hour drive home.
Glad the plane flight it over Iz...hoping the drive home is good and that you get there and can rest up before having to jump back in! Ugh...love you sweet girl.
Dutchy, Stormy, Iz, Small, Roberta Didge and JPB - he is good. Sounds so congested still but he is not wheezing anymore - so I am thankful - thank you! His teacher has asthma and I had a good talk with her yesterday afternoon - so she is keeping a sharp eye out for him. I will have to go up to the school twice today to give him breathing treatments. The doctor felt like it was okay for him to go back...I had reservations...but it is so early in the school year ...oh I don't know. Just glad he is feeling better!
I hope you all have a good day. I am off to get the house cleaned and hopefully to get some laundry done. The Prof and I are heading off to SanDiego on Saturday. Will be there 5 days! This is the first time we have gotten away just the two of us like this in quite some time! Thankfully my Mom and Dad will be here to take care of the kids as well as my Mom and Dad-in-law. So the kids will be good and spoiled when we get back!
That was ridiculously easy compared to the way out!!!!!!!!
Know the jetlag is gonna kick in anytime soon but... - we both slept for about 3 hours - the flight was around 7 hours and we had been at the airport for 3 hours before taking off (left at 10.24pm after a bit of a to-do over an unattended bag). Arrived back into Heathrow and G was waiting for us at arrivals - jumped in the car and got home about an hour ago. S-boy is buzzing and the kitties are all over us like a rash. G's gone back to his as his dawgs have been crossing their legs for 10 hours!!!!!!!!! My dawgs will come home tomorrow.
So lovely to walk in and find a lovely prize and card from McT - thanku thanku thanku Bless you both for hooouse and kitty sitting - just thanku so very much. xx
JPB - thanku for having us to stay and looking after us - it was wonderful and despite doing my impression of "just how pathetic can one be" yesterday - I loved the time we spent together at your home and with Queen Dev in the hotel - S-boy had such a lovely time with the two of you yesterday... no, day before yesterday, (what day is it????????) - thanku to all the Chicagoans and the family and Dev, it was so good to meet you and sit up and talk all nite. xx
Rock - thanku too - I have so many pics to post. The caverns, St Louis arch, Mississippi river ride and still need to get the pics of the fabulous storm up . Will send you a CD with all the pics on when I can get myself organised enough. Seeing Mags was a special treat - thanku for all you did for us. x
I still have folk to call which I didn't get sorted enough to do (sheeeeeeeesh - I only had a month a?) - Boida & Mis - will call you this week Bazza, FQsis (Happy Anniversary for Sunday - I'm so late but was thinking of you both) and Tulip - will call y'all prolly tomorrow.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo... gonna put my ELECTRIC kettle on and have a cuppa
We are all looking forward to more photos and I am sure you have many to show us. But please, Izzie, make sure you get some rest!

Izzie, parting is such sweet sorrow; I am so pleased you took home a barrel of happy memories thanks in large part to those wonderful kindly folk you met along the way.
Perhaps when you get the time you could briefly explain how the word ‘Squirrel’ came into the conversation so often? Enquiring minds want to know.
Missy wrote, “And I said, "Try again"...and he said he would be happy to oblige me.”
Oh my gawd! When I read that, I got a lump in my throat; well, not there exactly, but I don’t know how to spell; pharyngitis. So is you is, or is you ain’t still my baby?
I love that song by the Wiyos band.
Well, guy’s it’s been great jawing with y’all; I gotta hit the trail again. Keep the home fires burning…
They were sum-moned from the hill-side,
They were called in from the glen,
And the Coun-try found them read-y
At the stir-ring call for men._____
Let no tears add to their hard-ship;
As the Sol-diers pass a-long
And al-though your heart is break-ing,
Make it sing this cheer-y song.___
Chorus
Keep the Home-fires burn-ing,
While your hearts are yearn-ing,
Though your lads are far a-way
They dream of Home;
There's a sil-ver lin-ing
Through the dark cloud shin-ing,
Turn the dark cloud in-side out,
Till the boys come Home.
Verse
O-ver seas there came a plead-ing
"Help a Na-tion in dis-tress,"
And we gave our glo-rious lad-dies;
Hon-or made us do no less._____
For no gal-lant Son of Free-dom
To a Try-rant's joke should bend,
And a no-blue heart must an-swer
To the sa - cred call of "Friend"…
You truly are such a clever man Try again. You push me to say the things I do though. No one can get under my skin like you can. Your baby? nah. You wouldn't want me...I truly am a pain in the ass - no one's just saying it .

Big sqeeze from me.
Hey Sweet Dixie - big squeeze back - just starting to flag a little here (10pm-ish) and am semi unpacked. Being naughty, drinking copious cuppas and eating Duty Free Toblerone and a packet of Walkers Shortbread with my kitty beside me. Ha! Really oughta cooked a meal for the little fella but had FISH AND CHIPS instead! Nem'mind!
Oh - look what we discovered in our Hotel suite... when all else fails... Try Again.
Had to take a pic - then JPB had to phone the techie guys to get up and running. We did - and all was well in the world again. How is G-baby doing today - how did he manage at school today? Focus - it will find you girlie - no worries. Love you Dixie. x
Talking of which... No-mad-ix Blue - howdy doody! Squuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl - they're all nuts! Youze folks out innem USofA tawk funny - I was attemptin' to re-edumacate 'em city fellaz All is ticketyboo here and we had a verra happy time in Chi-town whilst singin' the blues! Ohhhhhh - you were missed Blue - next time I reckon I'll be passing you the mic! Yeah right! BEAgle - how're you a? and what have you been up to? Been a while since we caught up - hoping all is well Down Under and MrsB is keeping your chores in check Have you heard from Indeedee lately? x
DjjD - how are you now? Feeling better? Lovely to read the Tranna thread and here that TC and the College Boy were able to visit with the Canajun and Mensch crew. Happy days.
Ahhhhh Boida - yep - 'tis good to be home after nearly a month and we've been living out of suitcases (which are now topsy turvy) - this time next week I'll have started back at work and normality will take over no doubt - ugh - normality - haven't done that in a while. There is so much to see in Chicago and I would love to explore the city properly on foot - t'wasnt to happen this time (too tired and sore) - but so glad we packed in as much as we could in the time we had. The last week has been real busy so gonna rest up for a few days - then... work calls and time to be a little more responsible.
FoxyF - good to see you - haven't seen you on the boards for a bit - but then haven't really been online a lot whilst we've been away. Hope all is good in NM - when is your anniversary trip? Soon methinks... or has it been. Thanku for your wishes - travel home was much easier than going out.
Small - hey hey - hoping we'll get to see you again soon - will try and sort out something with the Harbour Master. Thanks Bazza for checking in on us - be good to yabber on the phone Gotta RH package for you to be delivered.
jw - so glad we got the chance to meet. Next time I will give you the hug from the Blue Fella Hope wee Annie is doing well and yep, will get some pics up in the next few days. Right now - still contemplating the upturned suitcase on the floor (Mis - I AM PROCRASTINATING BADLY) but I have put my blue chimes up in the conservatory to sing to me when the doors open. HA!
ok................. gonna have the biggest bath in the world now and might try and settle down...........I'm floating at the moment - you know that kinda feeling when you feel like you're walking on clouds - all spacey - and not a sleeping potion in sight!
