And a LONG one. They still have a five hour drive (plus stops) ahead of them and I haven't gotten word that they've left yet.

@mismi,
Hi beautiful mother of three, I'm sure your prayers will be answered and Izzie and crew will arrive safely at JBD's place, and I'm equally sure JPB will make them very welcome. Mrs. B has given me oodles of work to do so haven't got much time to yabber. Smile

Can we yabber about anything we like? This visitor found some well-grown stinging nettles in SW England, and he ripped them out with his bare hands.
And regretted it later, a bit.

@verbivore,
There she is! Hello Mamaverb. I am so glad the flu is behind you now. Do rest up. You are right on the Butterflies being works of art. So beautiful. Try is a pain in the @$$ Verby. He knows it. He thrives on it.

Hi there McT and Barry - hope y'all are having a good day over there.

Thanks for letting us know JPB...so glad they are there safe and sound. I expect they are pretty tuckered...Have a good day, Iz , Rock and JPB. Love y'all.

I am off to a CPR training class. So - I will be prepared if anyone needs it. Wink

Then I am going to lunch with friends, then taking a going off to college present to a sweet friend who is taking her son today. Makes her sad, so it makes me sad for her. Oh how those babies grow. <sniff>

Okay - hugs y'all...be back later prolly.

ohhhhhh.... I like the way you think! I wonder if any of the blues clubs allow 12 year olds. I'm thinking of taking the troops downtown tonight to meet up with a couple A2Kers. Great idea for a meet up. Off to do some homework...

@JPB,
Hey Crew

Oh....... long day yesterday " we got up at 9am and arrived in Chi-town at 12.30am....

Visited Mags " oh " Mags it was so so lovely to meet and hug you " and just sit and be with you and hubby for a while " thanku so much " I have lovely photos to send you and with your approval will put up on Calamity Janes Picture thread and here. Wasn’t it great " you talk with someone for a while and then get to meet them for real. I’m so glad we had that chance. Love ya Mags and hubby " THANKU XXXXXXXX

BEAgle and Harbour Master " oh.... you wouldn’t believe what happened yesterday. I captained a River Boat on the Mississippi " how cool was that " who get’s the chance to do these things? Moi! So blessed. It was wonderful. The Captain handed the helm to me and I went headed in different directions " what fun " I laughed a lot and RH and little fella laughed some too. The crew were fab (not so lovely as my crew of course) " and we were have quite a long yabber - just great. I have pics tho haven’t looked at them yet " little fella took them so hoping they have turned out (at this stage he’s prolly better than me at taking pics " I’m rubbish right now Rolling Eyes )

Stormy, Alex, Letty " ah thanku for the song " on the boat they were playing all the banjo music " just lovely " you have never heard such a loud sound as the “hooter” on the river " soooooooooooo loud. Rosborne, great to see you " getting a straight answer from the BlueBoy " well, it may take a while Razz

MaMaVerby " oh thank goodness you are feeling better " you must be leaving for Kerala soon " when is that? Lots of green veggies hun to get some extra iron and get that Hb up. Thinking of you and gentle hugs Little One. So pleased you are feeling better. x

MCTAG " I been there - I recognise those nettles. Very Happy HOW HAPPY IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great pic of you. LOVE IT! Thanku " you star. So, so pleased you enjoyed your stay and gave the grass a hair cut and de-nettled " large weren’t they Shocked Glad you are home safely and all is well. Can’t thank you enough hun. Bless you and MrsMcT xx

Blue " darlin’ Blue " you have been here whilst I’ve been on the road " so hoping all is good in your world and so happy that twonk talk is on the ship. (((((Blue))))) xox Oh " love you and Mis bantering " so laughing! I reckon if Mis gotta hold of you, the only thing you would be nursing is a sore head. (steady!!!!!!!)

So, we arrived at 12.30am " totally exhausted after a very long drive from St. Louis to Hannibal to Chicago. We met Jaye with open arms and big hugs and she had the kettle on the stove. Can’t remember what time we went to bed " so good to meet Beautiful Daughter No.2 and little fella and daughter talked a while whilst we sat outside. Stunning house and place to live (they live in an area where each road is named after an alcoholic beverage) " go figure Wink

We had a good sleep in a luxurious bedroom decorated by Beaautiful Daughter No1 and this morning we sat on the patio as the deer walked past us in the garden. How totally cool was that?! Little fella is struggling a little with tiredness so we are just in our room at the moment and I’m trying to catch up with letting y’all know we are well and good.

So very happy to be here. Rock did a tremendous job with the driving " it was looooooooooong " we had some amazing storms along the way and saw incredible sunsets. Thanku Rock for everything. Now, for the busy part of the visit and “doing” Chicago as best we can in the next few days. So happy to see Jaye and to sit and talk.

Lovin’ y’all, have missed yabbering with everyone.

Smooches xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I tried to warn you, Izzie. JPB lives in a rather forsaken area surrounded by wild animals. I have been afraid to go there myself. Smile

@Izzie,
Nah girl - you don't have to wait until Saturday ....OH Shocked See I thought you meant his head(the thing that is supposed to contain his brain) verses his ...well other end. Gotcha' - Laughing Cool heh heh.

Wandel - it sounds wonderful. And she's close enough to the big city to get there in fairly short time...sounds like the best of both worlds to me! I love Chicago. So does the Prof. I would have dragged his behind up there if he weren't in the middle of a bunch of stuff...and he wouldn't let me go alone.
Rolling Eyes worry wart.

@wandeljw,
oh jw - it's so gorgeous here - wanting to post up some pics of everything - just tooooo tired right now to concentrate. What a fantastic place to live - middle of the woods and a stones throw from the city. Love it. So good to see JPB and sit and drink tea. Happy days.

HA - last nite JPB said there was a racoon fight at 3am - me, I didn't hear a thing - but she half expected us to run in and say "what was THAT"....

Rockhead is camping - he didn't hear anything either - think we were all out for the count.

The deer were lovely, just strolling on past. Got some snaps of them. And the cats here....... the cats aren't cats - they are these huge massive furballs - Maine Coones - MAHOUSIVE... biggest cats I've ever seen in my life! I love them. I am kidnapping them and taking them back home with me. Love it. S-boy want to live here. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh... bless him. He's a little homesick right now so we're gonna keep him busy over the next few days. Can't wait to see you jw - gonna hug you big. Very Happy x
