Meeting dear Mags in the morning and then going to Hannibal and catching a Mississippi river boat and then onwards and upwards to Chi-town. Think we're all gonna be pretty wrecked by the time we get there - maybe just a relaxing day on Wednesday with JPB.

No worries, hun. There are no plans made for Wednesday. I was waiting to see how everyone was doing before making phone calls to the locals.

Enjoy your visit with Mags and happy boating along the Mississippi. I'll see you later tonight and will have a cuppa waiting for you when you get here.

Big Hugs to you all.

Safe travels.

JPB, be certain that you tell travelin' Izzie to cross over the Mark Twain memorial bridge and follow Ray Charles' example.

Hiya y’all, as promised the transcript of the call…

Mismi: "My mouse has suddenly stopped working."
A2K Tech Support: "Is it an optical mouse?"

Mismi: "I don't know; its kinda round?"
A2K Tech Support: "Does it have a ball or light?"

Mismi: "Oh, it's got a light on top."
A2K Tech Support: "On top? Are you sure?"

Mismi: "Yes. It was underneath before, but it looks better when it's on top."
A2K Tech Support: "Ok, try turning it around so the light points down on the desk."

Mismi: " Ain't that the berries! It's working, now I can flirt again!"

...Now remove all that cheese from your mouse mat!!!

Spare a thought for yours truly as I was having my breakfast; I read about Missy giving Dutchy a ‘tongue lashing’ and a dozen cheerios left my nose and studded the wall like machine gun bullets!

I know the technical amongst you will wonder why the projectiles didn’t hit the floor:

Well, the intuitive notion that a tangent line "just touches" a curve can be made more explicit by considering the sequence of straight lines (secant lines) passing through two points, A and B, those that lie on the function curve. The tangent at A is the limit when point B approximates or tends to A. The existence and uniqueness of the tangent line depends on a certain type of mathematical smoothness, known as "differentiability".

And now for something completely different…

Raphus cucullatus was a flightless bird endemic to the Indian Ocean, it stood about a meter tall, weighing about 20 kilograms (44 lb), living on fruit and nesting on the ground.

The dodo has been extinct since the mid-to-late 17th century. It is commonly used as the archetype of an extinct species because its extinction occurred during recorded human history, and was directly attributable to human activity, hence the phrase "dead as a Dodo."

(((IZZIE))) It sure do lift ma sprits to see y’all having such a good time and gettin’ to meet such nice folk. I am sure you will have a great time in Chicago; it’s just like Paris except for the absence of culture, heritage, cost and fine victuals.

Kudos to you Rock for takin’ such good care of our Izzie; I always watch you when you appear on WWF. I loved it when you kicked the Undertakers ass and thought you were amazing at 2004's WrestleMania XX. Good luck with the movie career.

BTW That is XX=20, not two kisses. lol xx

Now; I want to share with y’all some treasures from my latest excavations in the Black Hills…

While I think of it…
I was listening to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen and the title is not sung on the record. Do you know any other instance the title words of the song are not sung?

Now remember y’all:
A true Southerner can show or point out to you the general direction of "yonder." And knows exactly how long "directly" is - as in "Going to town, be back directly."

Well, I caught myself lookin… GOD BLESS DIXIE !!!

@Tryagain,
When I was a kid we used to find Fossilized Shark's Teeth in the creek near where I lived in New Jersey. Where was this one from?

Oh Missy …

The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
Your hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears

My heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds
that rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies
from a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over
stones on its way
To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray

I go to the hills when my heart is lonely
I know I will hear what I've heard before
My heart will be blessed with the sound of music
And I'll sing once more..

Dutchy may have got over you, but to my certain knowledge I have never gotten over you!

Unless it was you I made out with after the church parade that onetime? Do you remember…It was when you said you wanted to get me into the sack? I thought you meant a roll in the hay; but you were thinking …like kittens off the bridge into the river!

Ps. There be two ‘F’s in off.

Any witch way; do enjoy your new job, there is music in them thar hills!

Quote Rosborne, “When I was a kid we used to find Fossilized Shark's Teeth in the creek near where I lived in New Jersey.”

Iam knot from Joisey,Yoo godda problem widdat? No seriously, New Jersey people DONT say Jersey, they say Jurzee, not even people in North Jersey say it that way. Why, not even my cousin Vinney from NY would say it that way.

However, there are a lot of sharks up that way; only recently some fat lowlife cut me off on the turnpike and flipped me the bird. When I got home I asked his wife if he always acted that way!

Rosborne, you being listed as an Amateur naturalist, makes it somewhat difficult for me to reply to a nakid person, but just this onetime I’m gonna think of Missy and say…

As for the location; if you know the hills, then from my neck of the woods it is just about two hoots and a holler over yonder.

Sweet Missy wrote, “Try - you may want to lay >>>of<<< the Ritalin.”

Ps. There be two ‘F’s in off.

Well, bless her heart! Razz

Ps, Do you know how to play ‘Doctors and Nurses?’

@Tryagain,
Oh - that "of"...heh. I hope you still understood what I meant. Mis-direction you are good at, no?

And I know what "bless her heart means" - to some folks anyway. That's lovely - jackass. I may be a little prone to think lightly at times...but I'm not an idiot. Very Happy

Of course I know how to play "Doctors and Nurses".

@Tryagain,
Good morning crew and how nice to see the elusive eloquent Tryagain down from his archaeology expedition in them far away hills, the Captain will be most impressed but disappointed for not meeting you in Chicago. Speaking of playing Doctor's and Nurses, you should have made it to Al's town my friend, Izzie would have 'nursed' you all the way. Smile

Hi mismi, how do you feel being called a hot goat, I honestly couldn't go that far, I have respect for a married mother of three. Laughing Anyway now you can give Try a tongue lashing instead of me!

Happy travels Izzie, Rockhead and S-boy.
