Mis " I’m doing ok, or should I say “hanging in there!” Still not fully used to the idea that I have the summer off (except for work!) Daddy is doing wonderful! Still healing, but has his usual sense of humor back and that little twinkle he gets in his eyes when he’s joking around. Or looking at Mom!
Annis " Good to see you, and I hope that things are going well for you. I know you’ve certainly had more than your share of tough times. I’m glad that you have a friend like Miss Izz close to you.
FQ " Ohhh I wished I could have been at that concert too! Can’t even imagine all the fun and trouble we coulda gotten into! Maybe … in the future!
Alex … How’s things up north? Hope all is going well for you!
Beagle ….. When I read FQ saying she felt “broody,” I didn’t know what that meant. Till I read your post! Giggles! Now I know what it means and you can add me to that list of ladies that are feeling pretty broody these days! I have always said that it’s a good thing you can’t walk into a store and buy babies! Geesh, someone would have to STOP me before I owned a herd of them!
Barry …. That is too funny! I told Justin almost that same thing. People DO pay to have a hairdo like Taylor was born with! So dang cute, though! And yup, you’re right…. I would not only have loved Hyde Park, I’d have been up front with you and Sarah. All the way baby! Dancin’ and shakin’ that thang! Singin’and twirlin’ around. Adrenalin would have kept me on my feet, easily! That and dancin’ with you!
Verbie …….Oh just you wait, girl! I have seen your picture and I would put any amount of money on the fact that your baby is going to be sooooooo incredibly BEAUTIFUL! I can’t even imagine how precious your child will be! I can’t wait! Excited for you!!
Izz ….Yes! Another blessing from God’s pocket! What a perfect way of putting that! Baby Noah is getting so big now. Twas time for another itty-bitty addition to the family! After all the craziness of this past year, it’s such a blessing to see things start to level out again! I saw in one of your posts where you talked about my graduation next year. Well, that WAS the plan. In order to achieve that I would have had to have kept up the extra credits each semester, PLUS go to school this summer. I don’t think that I totally realized how hard a PHD was. I can’t even tell ya! I had so many credits going that I was beyond just being “grumpy” most days. Then when the school offered the assistantship it changed everything. I no longer had any free time on campus to work on hw or to study. All free time was taken up either in teaching or tutoring. So I had to drop back to normal credits. This means an extra year of school. So I have 2 more years left. My dissertation has to be squeezed in there too. The assistantship wasn’t really something I could turn down. Such a huge break in my tuition, not to mention the hours I am logging teaching experience. All that will (hopefully) help me when the job hunt starts. I almost reached 90 hours of teaching experience during the 2nd half of this past school year. Hoping to get 180 - 200 hours in next year.
Anyhoo……. A friend and I are heading to NYC this afternoon. It's sort of an extended longggg weekend.

We are going to do a little shopping and catch the big fireworks celebration. There will be some beach time in there also because we are both taking off work till Wednesday. I am driving, not flying this time around. Yay for me, the one whom hardly ever does anything but school and work! Oh, and speaking of work, reminds me of money. Can I afford this? Oh hell no! But who cares! Not I, says the babbler!
Sooo….arrivederci, my friends! Stay safe, have fun, and whatever happens while I’m gone..I DIDN’T DO IT!
