We are on a heat wave this week in the UK.. think London is gonna be hotter. After the last sunburn, gonna whip up a souffle and slap it on. Sis can you get K to bring me down a couple of those from Freeport please hun.

been feeling crappy lately, run down, mysterious aches and pains, then got a rash a few days back, go looking tonight for info on skin rashes, looks like according to the symptoms i've been displaying and the way this rash is progressing i've got shingles

oh boy, got doc appointment for general checkup on the 8th, but think i'll pop into walk in clinic tomorrow for a check up

OH NO! Didge! That is so painful. Do go to the walk-in clinic and take care of yourself. My MIL had it and she said she was miserable. (((Didge))) So sorry...I thought you didn't seem your usual "perky" self (ha ha) you know what I mean though. Rest, man - REST!

the rash is not to bad, i've been putting cortisone cream on it, i thought it was just heat rash

I am going to be busy today. Having to start working on my teaching plans and the stationwagon needs to be fixed. Dropped a puddle of what I thought was oil on the road yesterday...may be transmission fluid...either way....well just yuck. I hate car troubles. My neighbor kindly pointed out that 5 of our pines in the back have pine beetles...so I am watching and will probably have to hire someone to take at least one of them down...it leans over the fence into their yard and I really don't see that we can tie it off and get the come-along to tighten it enough to bring it back down into the back of our yard. I love trees...I hate them. Drive me nuts. Grumpy today ain't I?

We are going to a Barons game tonight. Should be fun. They are playing the BayBears which is the team from Mobile...where I grew up. It's going to be hard for me to know who to pull for to be honest. I have been to so many of both teams games that I can't fully be happy about either one losing...so I guess I will just be happy for whoever wins. duh.

So - busy today - but thoughts are with you all.

okay, apparently it's a really bad case of poison ivy (never had it that i know of)

got some cream and some pills, as for the general crappy feeling, gonna take that up with my doctor next week

Thank Goodness...though when I had poison ivy I thought I was going to die. I felt bad too...especially when it gets into the blood system. Glad your keeping your appt with your doc though.

Heya Iz. Sounds like a crazy day. Yeah...buying new tires sucks too. Anything you have to spend on a car sucks. To me anyway. Such a pain in the caboose.

I am glad you are still buzzing. That is good. I am waiting for the car place to call me because the express oil place I went to did not instill a lot of confidence in me. If I had the nice man I had yesterday I would have felt better. This little whipper snapper of a boy was too eager to jump on the bandwagon on my questions....something just didn't feel right. I hate cars...did I say that already? I wish we could go back to horse and buggy. I wouldn't mind spending money to help my horse...and I am pretty sure I could fix the darn wagon.

I met again with my new employer and she is a doll. We hit it off and I am so relieved at the laid back and comfortable atmosphere of the school. I believe I might have overwhelmed them a bit with my 25 cd's of music and 2 months worth of lesson plans already. She looked a little like she didn't know how to digest it all...maybe I was too eager. Well...it's my job anyway and I just think it will be great.

Iz - how you holding up?

Morning crew the Beagle is awake and what do I find, a shocked Izzie, what's happened Captain (burnt dinner) and a tired mismi wanting a shot of Tequila. Well I'm here to hold you both up and perhaps Ivy boy djjd as well.

Going into town this morning to collect two boxes of smoked fish, just arrived from overseas, thanks to my son. He is adamant I get plenty of Omega3!

Hey Mis - can you double up the shot and pass one to me please. Oh - t.i.r.e.d. Did have a lie down mixed with some weird REM dozing and conversations in my head. Sleep - not exactly. Taken my potion and hoping for sleep soon. Funny thing is - haven't taken too many pain killers today - think I am still on a bit of a rush from the weekend.

Little fella came home from a week at school. He had such a great time (bar the sunburn) - kayaking, trips to the towns, beach - loads of stuff. Exhausted wee fella but high as a kite on life.

I single handedly managed to wipe the smile off his face whenI told him that R-boy was going on holiday with Pam and family - lots of tears and its not fair - soooooooooo.... we've been looking at holidays.

Got a feeling I am going to do a mega push of a mountain. Will be making a call tomorrow. Ya know, life's for living - this would be the biggest buzz ever if I can pull it off. We may be pirates.

That ...... or...... road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, US a poss, Italy is my dream (tho ... thats a little scary with the little fella so young - where I wanna go is expensive....... BUT.... Izalastminute.com and we will do something. Italy is my dream.... Amalfi, Sorrento - mmmmmmmm - think very extreme and the least thing anyone would possibly imagine I would be cabable of, will be the way to go - if availble. Pushing the limits - facing some fears. On own - just me and him.

G is in Africa on safari - he'll be enjoying the place. Ha - funny name "Dik Dik" is where he is. Sure he's having the best time with daughter and family.

Ahhhhhhhh - so any dreams... need to go fulfil them - me and S-boy.

S-boy is going here tomorrow for a play to see the King of Prussia. How FAB! What a great school trip. tres expnsive these trips - but you gotta do what you gotta do.

ooooooooooooh... I need chocolate. S-boy bought home chocolate crispies... gotta go much.
