@ehBeth,
HA! Yep, they dare us whenever they can. And, yes, leaving the boys is almost as hard as leaving the girls.

Jolly decent of you to post these snaps, Miss Izzie. One did enjoy them most awfully frightfully.

The song, we learned at school

When Adam and Eve were dispossed
of the garden, hard by Heaven,
they planted another one down in the West -
'twas Devon, 'Twas Devon, glorious Devon.

Old England's Counties, by the sea,
from East to West are seven.
But the gem to that fair galaxy
'tis Devon, 'tis Devon, glorious Devon.

@mysteryman,

Ah MM - such tragedy. Please, keep hold of the fact that you were able to rescue Austin - he wouldn't have had any chance had you guys not been there. I know it's he's in a critical condition, but now it's over to the medical folks - they will do their stuff and everything they can to heal this young fella, that's their area of expertise. You did your very best in your job. When the next "shout" happens - and the tones go off - try not to think about anything except calm, focused and what's in front you, not the previous shout.

Sending healing thoughts, wishes, prayers, love..... whatever it takes so this little fella, Austin, can heal quickly.

Jeff - you and your guys saved his life - you guys gave him that chance. Please remember that. What happens now, is not within your control - but you did everything you could and got him out. Tell your lads the same - you should be very, very proud of you and your crew.

Hugs love. Talk whenever you wish. Here - we are.

G'day Izzie, had a very enjoyable day at the dog show today, beautiful weather and met lots of old friends.

Intrigued by beach pictures of mismi, have you forgotten she posted one many moons ago on this forum? Wink

Enjoyed your coastline pictures Captain, as always superb, would love to wander around there with you.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, I may have an early night for a change.

Happy father's day to all who ARE fathers

Barry the Brit may be at stone henge celebrating the summer solstice.

MM, my godchild was brain dead and although they removed him from the life support system, it took a week before he actually ceased to live.

No venting, y'all. Can't afford to because it's supposed to reach 98 degrees here.

Foxy, I smiled when Wandel's daughter chastised him for being unkind to an owl.

@Dutchy,
Hey BEAgle...

Ooof - I have such a lack of energy today - I can't make myself do a thing. I'm stressing a little about nothing and feeling a whus - go out a few times - then knackered knackered - fatigue is getting the better of me badly. Ugh. It's absolutely gorgeous outside - a little too warm for me to sit but the butterflies are having a wail of a time out there.

Need to get in the car and go across to the town but can't quite make myself do it at the moment. <just get in the darn car and GO woman>!

I've managed, somehow, to grow some strawberries <they were very kind, they grew all by themselves and made me look exceptionally greenfingered expecially as I didn't even plant them! Razz> Will go and pick them and take them over to my PaPa in a little bit. They've asked me to take my camera over and take some pics of their fleurs. Cool.

Need an early nite too tonite - have a huge week ahead and ..... don't quite know how I'm going to manage it. Whus!

BigBoy has a Social Services review this week. He won't let me go. Hey ho. Just spoke with him - he's undecided whether he wants to travel somewhere with the little fella and I this summer. So, can't make plans for a wee while longer. Will end up doing lastminuteIz.com, grab our passports and no doubt and fly off somewhere.

OK.... strawbs... on my way Arrow

hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa BEAgle - yep - Mis did post a pic - I remember you and Blue being very naughty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whaaaa Who? you two.... no.... never! HA! Wink

EDIT: Ooooooooooooh Letty - crossposted - how hot! Shocked OH MY WORD!..... ha... it's prolly not more than 70 here and that's way waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarmmmmmmmmmmm! ha!

@McTag,
Well, taggers, both you and I are of Scottish descent. (I gottit). "Get it" is difficult for Americans to say as when the tongue touches the roof of the mouth the next inclination is to slur the words over, not clip them off.

Lord Ragland is the one who gave the order to the Light Brigade. As I once observed, there's a snake in every family tree.

The only history of my family is oral history.

Thanks, again, Izzie for showing my parents photo's.

The only thing that I recall my dad saying about WWI is his experience with Russell Hicks. It went something like this.

Go find out about the sergeant, Russell. Upon returning, Russell Hicks went into a dramatic interpretation of his adventure. My dad said, "What about the sergeant." Russell's reply. "oh, he's dead" then continued with more drama.

http://www.afi.com/wise/films/game_of_death/images/hicks.gif

What a shock to find out that he starred in the movie, "The Most Dangerous Game." I woke up one evening and watched it. As a matter of record, Russell starred in over 300 movies. No wonder he was dramatic.

Oops. Russell starred in the remake of the movie called A Game of Death. No wonder I couldn't find him in the cast of the original. Rolling Eyes
