@Izzie,
In that case I withdraw my objection (but I reserve the right to bring it up again at our next all porpoise meeting).

Its HOT here right now.
It has been in the high 80's here for about a week now (thats over 26.6 degrees for our friends across the pond), and we have had humidity levels of 85 - 90% all week.
It has produced some severe thunderstorms every morning, but other then that everything is ok.
Cody spent today at the public pool in town and his back is now a bright red.
I offered to put some ointment on it for him, but he said no.
Oh well, he i going to learn a painful lesson.

Stacy is sitting on the couch making a fool of herself (she is making funny faces at Connor).
That boy is growing like a weed.
Stacy would be perfectly happy staying home all the time with Connor, if she could.

Anyway, I have to go take a shower and get ready to go to bed, even though its only 7 PM right now.
Since I get up at 2:30 AM, I have to be in bed early.

@ehBeth,
Happy Birthday, girl. Make a wish, blow out the candles. And may your wish come true.

Enjoy your day, Bethie.

@Roberta,
Oh Boidy, your ears musta been burrrrrrning. Brendalee and I were talking about you bigtime today. We both have a need to get out of town. As soon as life settles itself down again, we are heading for that giant shiny red apple that houses our very favourite New Yorker.

@Izzie,
Hey Crew

I'm cream crackered - would you believe - in the space of.... less than 36 hours - 3 of my colleagues have been involved in car accidents.

One. (witnessed and was on the scene) - too truly horrific to go into - but the great news is - the Mom and two baby kids survived - by the grace of God... or... they won't be well for a while - but they survived.

Two. J1 left work today - 2 mins out - tiny little country roads - car coming at her at x hundred miles per hour (twit) and smashed her car in - she was stationary. She was in a pickle but managed to get back to work where my boss drove her home and I went and picked my boss up and took her back to school.

Three. As we were leaving to take J1 home - J2 walks in having had the school children in her car on a school trip - and she had hit another car. No-one hurt - just a dented car and ego.

There's only a handful of us who work there - 3 accidents in less than 36 hours. Scary! Thankfully, all are/will be well - a little shaken - but all OK.

Makes you count your blessings. mmmmmmmm.

So - have just got in and made a cuppa - could do with a big sleep - didn't sleep last nite - oof - but exhub is stuck on a motorway up country and can't pick S-boy up - so I need to go get him in just under an hour. Little fella is verra excited - he goes on holiday next week with the school - big adventures and fun adventures - gonna have a fab time with all his friends and stay in a Youth Hostel and do campfires, marshmallows and all that. He loves that. He'll be a happy young man.

I need to go and get him some stuff tomorrow - little things - which means venturing into the city - and shops and people I may know. YUK. Gotta be done tho - so, helllllooooooooooooo credit card! HA!

K - going to sit outside for a little while and feel the sun on my face. Beautiful day. Beautiful.

Wishing all a very lovely day and lovin' y'all. x

@Izzie,
Oh goodness Iz...that is bad. 3 wrecks in one day...and the poor Mom and kids...the Dad died? Makes me feel a little nauseous.

I am tired too Iz. Have family coming since the Prof. is going deep sea fishing this weekend. My brother and his wife are coming. Two kids. So five kids in all and two dogs. and a cat. Missing poor fishy. Cleaning house...but now have just decided to let them see it au natural. Or however you spell that there French pronunciation (must hear the red neck inflection to appreciate my ability to butcher beautiful foreign languages).

Take care of yourself girly. I hope you rested and enjoyed your afternoon in the sun.

Bethie - enjoy your weekend. Best wishes to you and yours!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Relax! Enjoy!
hugs to all,
xxoo

@mismi,
Hey Missy - oh - maybe the Professor will catch a Blue Marlin!

Glad you have family coming by and that they are seeing the "lived in" look Wink It will be much more lived in by the time they go - so enjoy the company and get some rest if you can once the kidlets have gone to their berths.

The wrecks.... no no no... no fatalities. Just....... not nice. When my colleague "T" arrived - it was an all too familiar feeling of complete helplessness at a situation. Fortunately, the police contacted her earlier today and said the 3 were alive. It hardly seems possible - but they are, and they will be fine. For sure. The Dad was abroad - he's now back in the UK and he wanted to thank "T" for what she did - hence, the police phoned her and let her know - it will hopefully erase the images she had. She was in a very bad way at work, but the smile on her face today - well, that was just so heart warming. All will be good in time and really, it is a miracle they made it. (The Mom was diabetic - she'd become hypoglycemic driving)

Counting blessings, many of them. Very Happy

<oh my, I've just realised writing this..... that accident happened Wednesday..... doh! I've lost a day - I wasn't at work yesterday. Rolling Eyes doh doh doh!>

@mismi,
Morning all, Saturday morning here and not to bad a day, weather mild which means rain later on. The more the better.

mismi send the Professor downunder and my son will give him a Tuna experience he'll never forget. Brought over 400 tons of them to his fish farm some weeks ago and is in the process of fattening them up for the Japanese market. The farms attract other Tuna and the Professor could have a ball Smile

Izzie they say all good things come in threes but the opposite seems to be the case also, 3 crashes in one day enough to give driving away. Our statistics are really bad this year with a record number of fatalities, mostly young people between 16 and 24, high speeds is the greatest killer.

Mrs.B has given me the day off and I can go to the football with the boys this afternoon, looking forward to that.

Hugs to the ladies and a paw the to the guys. Catch you later.
