Well...I am still recovering. The kids never missed a lick. They were up and running and quite energetic...whereas I am dragging. The Prof. asked me if I wanted to go to the park and I looked at him like he was crazy. Ha! Normally I would be all over it - but really - not yet!

I am almost completely sand free believe it or not...I may still be working on the boys for the next couple of days...they are the ones that just sit in the surf and have a pound of sand in their shorts when they get up...gives me the willies.

I made a PLAN

I'm going to the beach

Just finished work - G is off having his jabs coz he's going on safari shortly - he's off to peek at Kilimanjaro (ha - big HUGE mountain for him) - so he's then coming by here for a bit, then we'll go over to Cornwall and find a beach somewhere. Cool.

It's fantastic outside - so I'm going to go sit by the river for a bit - too nice to be indoors - tho I do feel a bit of a procrastinate coming on! I miss being here and yabbering - I miss the crew.

I go see my lady tomorrow - she's going to teach me "meditation" - can I do that? Really? Relax? - oh my! I'm finding it difficult to sit still at the moment - when I'm home I need to be doing something - and when G is here or I'm there I don't get to go on my laptop - and tho that's maybe a good thing - well... I dunno - I miss being here, I miss you guys. He doesn't really "get" that so much. I know he wants to know what forum I'm on (he goes on one in the UK) - but.......................... I haven't told him the name of this place.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ musing! He can't quite understand how I feel about the folks here or that y'all are my every day. My choice.


Anyhoo - I said I wished to go to the beach tonite - so, that's the plan.

That scene cracks me up....that movie just kills me though...I feel so sorry for poor, poor Gaylord Focker - from his name, to the horrible shennanigans he gets himself into...yikes.

I ate a milk shake...I feel yucky. yuck.

I have accomplished nothing but unpacking - I think I might go bathe the dogs...because they stink something awful. shoowee.

Iz - how was the beach? Sounds lovely.

I have to tell you when we were at Grayton Beach we saw the most amazing things...sting rays jumping from the water. I have gone to the Gulf every summer as long as I can remember and I never saw them jump OUT of the water. I guess they were skates though...smallish stingrays. But they would jump repeatedly out of the water...so cool. And we would snorkel down to the ocean bottom and see crabs - tiny ones and pick up handfulls of sand that had tiny hermit crabs ....I would hold them and they would scoot off my hand...very tickly.

One day we even found an Olive...which is a roundish olive color shell...not unusual to find...but very unusual to find with the creature still in it...it looked like a sea snail....had a single foot that moved much like a sea slug...I guess that is what it is kind of. So awesome. It was hot and the water was cold, so it was perfect sit all day long kind of weather. At night we would run to the seafood market and get steamed shrimp...one night we even bought sushi-grade tuna and seared it quickly on the grill - amazing. So good...we baked veggies and had amazing salads and awesome beer and gin and tonics. It was great!

We then went to Orange Beach at Gulf Shores and stayed a few nights. The boys got to see the sting rays jumping from the water as well and got their first jelly-fish stings...not so good. At night we would go crabbing and they would catch several sand crabs and watch them in their bucket...we then let them go. They figured out that they could get the seaweed out of the water and shake it into their bucket and more times than not tiny crabs would fall into their bucket...amazing. They had a great time! Papa was out there and their Dad and Uncle...actually all of us...so much laughing and screaming...lots of screaming when the jellies got them. Poor fellers.

Anyway...

I am struggling with re-entry...so hard to come back to the real world when there is so much to do here at the house. But it is fine. Thankfully the Professor is very understanding...has not fussed once at my lack of motivation. It will come back...just takes me a while to get back into the swing of things!

I am so self-involved right now...sorry folks!

Morning all, haven't spotted the Captain, must be still at the beach.

mismi I know how you feel, terribly hard to get cracking after such a lovely break at the beach with everybody.

You saw the Stingrays jumping out of the water well I saw the Big Southern HumpbackWhales doing the same thing whilst I was away, an awsome sight.

I did all my tasks lined up for me by Mrs. B yesterday, so today I'm being rewarded as she is taking me out for lunch!

Missy - oh........ your stories...... stingers and crabs and snorkelling and BBQ's and oh. oh. oh - fabulous adventures. Can understand not being able to settle back down - it sounds just fantastic - so happy for you that you had a great time.

Welllllllllllllllllllllll - BEAgle - I am back - spent hours driving around - the sun set behind the clouds - and we were on the wrong side of the bay - but it was fantastic - I musta taken about 200 pics or so........ no no no don't worry - won't put them all up

It was amazing - we found this little path that led down the cliff - really steep - a little gate in the middle of..... nowhere - floppydocks (foxgloves) everywhere, kestrels, buzzards, a helicopter landing on one of the war ships, found the most darling little village by the sea - and a ship - and some cannons and yachts - then took the ferry back over from Cornwall to Devon - ha... I have funny pics - strange - all I could think about was the crew - the ferry was called Lyner II - but I couldn't get a pic of it, but..... oh I have to go see if the pics turned out.

So, I dropped G back to his, didn't even stay for a cuppa coz I knew I had to take my potion - so have literally run thru the door and need to have a cuppa - then shall look at my pics.

Oh Blue.... blue.... I saw the most amazing sky - it was so BLUE..... thinking of you - all shapes and whispy clouds....... stunning....

everything was stunning.....I was so excited - the more pics I took the more my body started siezing up - right now, my jaw is out (yep, I am silent hahahaahahhaha) and am aching all over - that happens when I get to taking photos - I forget to breathe - then get all light headed.

It was so wonderful - just driving, stopping, walking a bit, shoot some pics, drive, ooooooooh and aahhhhhhhhhhhh... great evening. Living.
