Hey, shipmates!

Hope ya'll are having a great weekend! I just jumped on ship to drop these off.....

 http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/gawker/2009/05/Hugs25202.gif

Oh, and to let you know that I think about you and wish you the best, even when absence might equate to indifference. That is so NOT the case! Things will slow down a little soon. I just have to get through exams this coming week. That is just a ton of stress right now. Thursday was officially my last day of class till fall. This week is for exams only. Next week I will still be owned by my assistantship. I will need to be on campus for that, but then it will be time to let my hair down, and time to earn some money! Yay me!

Anyhoo, have a great weekend, all you fabulous people!

i've missed you all - i miss not talking out loud to y'all - isn't that weird - i wanna show y'all what i saw last nite.

BEAgle... I walked scraggly rugged cliffs too - I climbed and clambered over huge HUGE rocks - felt no pain - it was all so...... BIG.

It took my breath away - I had to keep reminding myself to breathe Razz

ahhh - a sunset...... I know I know I know... it happens every day, but it was the most incredible sunset - and it shouldn't have been there - it should have been raining and cold and mizzly - but it wasn't - it was ... just there to be experienced - from nowhere...

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i've got pics... (of course)

i've a had a day of doing NOTHING.......... absolutely NOTHING... in fact, since I got back last nite, I've done NOTHING AT ALL (ha... body payback today) - but it's been great. I think I slept, can't remember - did discover when I tried to go online that I had unplugged the phones from the wall - I've been trying everything to get online and then realised I hadn't received any phonecalls today either - doh - ping ping ping - don't know when I unplugged them ... but must've done it last nite I guess.... so, I've been taking it verra easy and watched a DVD Shocked Fiddler On The Roof - such a brilliant flick - I've been singing and humming.

Sunrise Sunset

DjjD - when are you off to see sis then, hun? Don't forget your camera a? Can't wait to see what they are doing with the school house. Hope all is good in your world.

Stormy Stormy Stormy - how fab is that for your little (big) boy a? I have absolutely no idea what it means, but it sounds as tho you have the biggest smile on your face, so good on SonOfStormy - big pat on the back Very Happy Lovely to see you.

MM & Stacy - thinking of you...... mmmmmmmm.... the funeral - terribly difficult. Be strong J - strong as you can a? Let Stacy know we're thinking of her. Hugs to you x

@djjd62,
I was feeling in a 'thinking about the good old days' mood. Decided to watch some hometown band videos on Youtube. My hometown's BIG band is The Hip.

... and there, marching along at 1:44/1:45 of Smalltown Bringdown ... the hamburgers (c. 1987)

now that really is the good old days!

@ehBeth,
The pics of the cacti really don't do them justice I'm afraid but the fuschia is really brilliant in the morning sun. Does anybody know what the pipestem looking cactus is? I can't find it on any of the lists. The other (with the bright yellow flowers) is our native prickly pear that grows just about everywhere here. Some consider it a nuisance. Some landscape with it. Some make prickly pear jelly out of it which is both interesting and tasty.

And hidey ho everybody. Hope everyone is well and happy on this first June weekend. I'm going out to finish planting veggies in a bit.

@ehBeth,
So........ it was raining here, chilly ... ummmmmmmed and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhed about whether to go to the beach " decided “Why Not a?” - arrived and suddenly the rain disappeared, the sun started making it’s descent towards the BEAgle ..... and it was brilliant.

I got a little overawed by it all the loveliness of it there " couldn’t stop myself from climbing and jumping and walking and walking and jumping and climbing " you get the picture " such a fabulous feeling " I wasn’t in shooting shots mode " was just in point and shoot pics mode " I need to go back there again, soon, with camera in hand and take some proper photos... so much scope there " if only there were more hours in the day. Played around with the settings on the camera " but still can’t work it out " hey ho " it was fab.

This is where I went when I was a wee Iz - not often - but I do have memories of it.

One day, I may live near here, next to the sea.

Lovely photos izzie. It looks like Kimmerage Bay. Is it? Or somewhere near there surely. I used to go and look for fossils there when I was a kid.

@djjd62,
Hey PQ " ah, Kimmeridge Bay is t’other side of the moors " yep, there are many fossil beaches over that side " little fella has been to Lyme a few times " loves it. Trebarwith is North Cornwall, next door to Tintagel and Boscastle. Beautiful places to sit and pass the time of day. If ever you’re down this way gal, give me a shout. Plenty of room to stay at Chez Iz. x

DjjD " it does too look like a mermaid!!!!!!!!!!!!! " I hadn’t seen that at all... only this

The pic of Missy really looks like mis - made me smile. Smile

@Stormwatch,
Thank you Stormwatch.

Hey,...I saw a movie earlier in the week, titled "Fever Pitch", Falloon/Barrymore. It revloves around a Boston Red Sox fan. Funny movie. I now know why your blood is Red.

Hello Izzie. Sending you tidings.

To the rest of the motley crew, may all your bells be ringing.

Well folks, things are getting back to normal around here.
The funeral for Stacys grandmother was yesterday, and it was a beautiful funeral.

She was a devout catholic, and the priest had been her priest for 20 years, so he knew her well.
To be honest, I'm not catholic so I really didnt understand everything that was done at the service.
Stacy's grandfathers birthday is today, so he is being missed by everyone, especially now.

I need to learn how to post pics, so I can post some pics of Conner (so I can brag).
Anyway, I will talk to you later.

@mysteryman,
mm --- I didn't know Stacy's grandmother passed away. My condolences to your family. Hugs for you and Stacy!

I gottsa major MAJOR headache today. Too much studying, me thinks.

Heading out to skinny-dip in the pond. Those who dare ...may join me!
