@Izzie,
Hey Crew....... ahhhhhh home........ going straight out again tho - oof. Whatta morning. Swimming pool man had a Kango in my ear all day - noisy noisy - did my head in! Found 2 leaks under the concrete - oooh laa laaaaa - so not good! Gym people showed up and said the equipment was a little ropey Shocked... Computer Man showed up (he was being pedantic about things - so, didn't talk to him much - Freezer Man put the food delivery away...Bazza called sounding most official asking for the person in charge of the "Stick Insect Department" - ha...... there's a story there.... suffice it to say "Twiggy", tho legless (only has 5) is still moving... I am certain of it... I AM CERTAIN Shocked Need to talk to someone about where to get a green 3 inch stick insect before the kids return to school on Monday. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So........ busy day - so much so I thought it was Friday - which meant I forgot the man was coming to fix the door here - so, he's been, and gone, left a very polite note thru the door when really he wanted to say "you daft doozy, where the blinking heck is the key!" <or words to that effect possibly more colourful). Uh oh. Hey ho.... another day.

Off now - gotta go let some dawgs who have been crossing their legs out for a run - heading off to Cornwall.

Back laterzzzzzzzzzzzzz x

(Black shadow can open his left eye - looking much better - drops are doing the trick.... he's not too impressed he's being kept inside and his brother can go out... keeps giving me the "I want out too" look - love him - tomorrow.

gone......

@Izzie,
Hello!

I have no voice...or rather, the voice I have sounds like gravel. Rough. The Prof says he can't understand me over the phone. Told me I needed to stay home from the beach and rest. Is he kidding me? Rest? Here? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA......probably why I am sick.

I just sound bad anyway...I don't feel bad.

So I took the 2 dogs and the three kids to the vet. I tried to board the kids and they wouldn't let me. Kidding. It was a circus. I have Australian Shepherd hair and Black Lab hair and drool all over me. Gross. Biscuit is usually my wild-child and today she acted like a little lady - so my 70lb Pistol was acting like a heathern. Had to trade collars on him...he just about broke my arm. Much better once I got the pinch collar on him. He is much better behaved. And sweet Biscuit just sat by my side. Such a sweet little girl - she is 50 lbs. now. Good size. The Vet said he thought Pistol was obease when he saw how much he weighed - said Aussie Sheps were only suppose to be 45 - 50lbs. But Pistol is not obease...he is 70lbs of pure muscle...my manly pooch. Vet said he hadn't seen one this big before. My luck. But I wouldn't trade him...such a good doggy when he is not over excited. I guess that's true with most men. I wonder how pinch collars would work on them?

So Izzie - sounds like you have had quite a day. Hopefully tomorrow will settle down for you and then you will have the weekend to relax I hope.

Jeff, you and Stacy and the family are in my thoughts and prayers...and as always Bethie you and yours...know it is still hard. Can't imagine.

I am off to do what I was supposeta' do yesterday...

Hugs to all,
Missy

And BWAHAHAHAHHAHA to staying home... yeah.... coz that is so NOT gonna happen! Razz Nearly tomorrow and time with the girls - go make some good memories Mis. Take your camera girlie!!!!!

you know.......... life seems / feels very BIG right now... it's busy - but it's good busy - it's like life is exploding like my poppies - or there's a big huge eruption of something - but instead of being a big nasty explosion........ it's like one of those big party poppers that shoots out little pieces or priceless coloured ribbon and paper - and it's all streaming down over and around me.

I am so exhausted - I don't think I've done so much in years.... ha - price will be paid no doubt when my body can't take any more...... but right now - it feels mahhhhhhhvellous to feel as tho I have been rainbowed.

mmmmmmmmmmmm................ not perfect tho.......... nothing's perfect......... there's a little Blue missing!

Know that some of the crew are feeling heavily weighed in sad emotions - are coping in their own ways with things that are hard to express, leave alone imagine from Bubblesville - so................... sending strength and love and all those things that bring life to some kinda normal...

will keep wittering away here

BEAgle - didya get there yet a???????????????????????????????? Do we need Rescuers Down Under!!!!!!! Hope you're having a brill time with the g-kids and MrsB. Hug those kidlets for me - I bet they've grown so big - reckon Girl-I-Gkid is prolly as tall as me.

Cute Picture Roberta! I hope you are well and that your throat is getting better and better.

I am off. Loading the car with the bags now. The Griswald Stationwagon is full back and top of beach gear and assorted kid paraphenalia. Quite funny really. I made it! I knew if I could just make it to today I would be juuuuuuuuust fine.

I probably won't see you much this next week. Maybe when I am at Mom and Dad's. I will miss you all!

Izzie - take care of yourself sweety!

Thoughts and prayers are with you all each time I think of you! And I do think of you often!

Hugs,
Missy

@Izzie,
Izzie, Glad the shadow is feeling better. No, I can't imagine getting a cat to wear such things willingly. But then I can't imagine getting a cat to do anything--it doesn't want to do.

@Izzie,
Morning crew, reporting from far away and unfamiliar surroundings, but feeling on top of the world just the same. Just been for my morning walk along the rugged coastline here and would you believe it, saw two whales frolicking some distance out to sea. This time of the year they arrive from Antarctica and do their spawning in warmer waters, they will hang around here for the next few months. Always a spectacular sight. Wishing you all a great weekend.

@djjd62,
I love to go on whale watches. They are cool to watch from a distance but on the rare occurance they decide to come close to the boat ...it's so awesome. I can't even describe the thrill of seeing that.

Good morning one and all.
I hope everyone is doing well today.
We went to the funeral home last night, but didnt stay very lonI was only there for about an hour, because I had to work yesterday but Stacy was there most of the day.
We left before they started the rosary for her grandmother.
Today is the funeral.
But enough about that.

Someone mentioned whale watching.
If you want to go see the Ca grey whales migrating, here is a sight that might be of interest to you...

http://www.newportwhales.com/

I remember as a kid going whale watching, and for added fun when the whales are running north after having their calves its not unusual for the pacific bottlenose dolphin to join them.
The dolphins will actually play in the surf and almost come on shore.
They have no fear of people, and its not unusual to see them up close.

Its s asight worth seeing, at least once.
And if you dont want to go out to sea to see them, this will be of help and interest to you...

@Dutchy,
I have been blessed with seeing the whales fairly close in off the California coast. On a trip to Alaska we went on a whale watching excursion that took us right out to the whales and they were very cooperative that day frolicking at the surface. It is a thrill for sure to see one of those monsters emerge from the water.

You guys are always posting the beautiful pictures from your garden. We have some volunteer cactus growing under the Pinon tree at the end of our driveway and I was planning to dig it out and dispose of it this year. But it bloomed, and now I don't have the heart:
