@bathsheba,
Hi bathsheba nice off you to stop by and thank you for your Easter wishes, sincerely hope your quality of life is improving after your last treatment.

Won't dwell on my foot that'll come good in due course, I don't know what heelers are mismi, but I usually wear sneakers.

Spent a great day with my family at my brother's property in the hills, the weather was awesome, perfect for 'brunch' in the open air followed by a quick bbq tonight.

Cheers to everybody.

@bathsheba,
Hello Dianne...I'm not off today - but I'm off Monday! Very happy about that! I am so glad to see you here. Yes, I am over that round of sickness and the sunshine has been good to us...it is beautfiul down here. I am probably just now digging into my allergy issues - not to complain...but with my luck with colds and flu last season...I am trying to avoid bronchitus again - It's amazing how quickly I can get it just from a head cold or allergy these days...been sneezing my head off! Quite noisy I am.

How are you feeling? I hope the effects of the last treatment are gone and you are getting stronger and stronger!

Got to wake up my three musketeers! Time to get them up and dressed for school....

Dutchy - rest well...hugs to you.

Izzie - hope you have a great day!

Brooke - still thinking about you...

Dev - missing you here girly.

Alex - hope you have a Good Friday.

Annis, FQ, Bethie, DeeDee, Rock, JPB, Verby, Red, Try, Foxy, Roberta,
Wishing the same for you...have a great day. See you later,
mis

@Dutchy,
Morning Crew - quick wabbit hop aboard to say Howdy Doody and YAY for the wabbit - he made it thru the nite <breaks into song>

bless this little Easter Bunny!!!!!!!!!!

PetShopBoy came by and took a look at him - he's not sure whether he'll make it, but he's not looking too bad right now... and the wabbit should be fine too - sorry - inhouse joke! Wink

We talked about mixie as one of his eyes is a little acky - but that may have been pecked too... other eye is cool.

So - here is the bubba bunny...

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/DSC02908.jpg

he's been pecked on the top of his head and his left side...

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/DSC02923.jpg

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/DSC02941.jpg

he comes out for a hobble - his left paw is definitely dodgy

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/DSC02938.jpg

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/DSC02956.jpg

then he sits - just for a little bit and then goes back into the cat box

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/DSC02962.jpg

he's tried to eat some dandelions and I have just taken him and tried to clean up his wounds with some boiled water and cotton wool..... yeah yeah yeah.... it's a wabbit..... but for now he's a guest and I don't like cacky blood on my guests faces when I am looking after them!!!! He's been sitting inside my fleece under my arm - just sits there nice and snuggled, tries to go up my sleeve - will see how he goes for a couple days and then if all is coco - will take him back up to the field he was found by and let him go <awwwwwwwwwwwww....sob>

he's awfully cute - but yep, he's a wild animal and I've already got a menagerie here... plus the little fella!

We were going to sex it - but did you know, wabbits willy's are inside and you have to squidge them... errrrrrr..... you know.... in the nether regions.... to see if something pops out! Ahem, will just go with the fact he's a bubba bunny and leave his privates.....private! Shocked

will be back to yabber to y'all in a bit - great to see everyone here - enjoy Good Friday

<mis........... the kids go to school on Good Friday???????> oh my!

OH HOW LOVELY TO HEAR THE BOYS DISCUSSING SHOOOZ!!!!!!!! HA - that's made my day. Now if we just get out BlueBoy back........... today would be perfect!

Thought of you, Izzie, when I saw this in a design magazine. The artist is Stacey Lane and the two rings (one silver, one gold) are called Rabbit in a Thicket. Glad your little bunny made it through the night. We found a rabbit nest under our kindling pile one spring when we went "up north". Now they're all grown and come out at dusk to nibble on a patch of clover near our front gate. They sure are cute.

Sneakers, Dutchy? Just be careful:

(Forgot about the stretches, d'uh, they really do work!)

Yes, Alex, I live in Canada, about an hour or so north of Toronto. Bright and sunny today, but still cold and still snow here and there. (School was canceled due to snow storms earlier in the week! Am really looking forward to spring-like weather.)

Glad you're back Bathsheba!

Hi Mismi! Hi Brooke! Hi Everyone I haven't greeted individually!

Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue moon
You know just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for…..Thank you Ella Fitzgerald

And the next act for your delectation…
Howdy folks, the President and I have just returned; just don’t ask me any more questions about when he is going to get a dog in the White House.

When I got back my sisters complained that I love my dawg more than them. Well:

A dog loves you even when you leave your clothes on the floor.
A dog limits its time in the bathroom to a quick drink.
A dog will not get mad at you if you forget its birthday.
A dog does not care about the previous dogs in your life.
A dog does not get mad at you if you pet another dog.
The later you are the happier a dog is to see you.
A dog does not shop…

It’s true, I don’t got meh no doggeh; I has a hownd dawg pure and simple; ceptin’ he can talk!

Missy was however less than impressed. “Show me a spelling bee.” She said, with a tone that could bring a smile to the face of angles. Feverishly trying to avert my gaze from her perky rack, I casually enquired after the wellbeing of her own canine menagerie.

“Don’t try and sweet talk me boy.” She retorted in a pitch that rattled the shutters. “I know one thing you’re after!”

“Oh,” said I innocently. “What’s the matter with the other one?”

Titillating in its own transitive and intransitive verb sorta way, even though it’s an adjective. However that’s how I feel when I look at Izzie’s beautiful photographs.

I am so pleased that your recuperation, recovery and rest is going so well; except for the setbacks due to the mountain climbing, fell walking, moor trekking, dam busting , tree felling, marathon running, et al.

Q: How do you catch a unique rabbit?
A: Unique up on it.

I was granted a sneak preview of the upcoming bio of our very own Missy; considering that you should avoid starting out with a standard but boring line like:

"Missy was born in an Alabama hospital to be near her mom."

Try starting with something like this:

"Late one afternoon in April, Missy arrived at a small log cabin nestled deep in the Alabama Mountains. By sunrise on the following day, she was a legend, having suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, her lithe body withstood the onslaught which saved the President."

You’ll have to make sure your beginning is motivating, but it should also be relevant. The sentences will appear gratuitous if they don’t lead to a point, so the next sentence or two should lead in to your thesis statement, or main message of your biography.

It was a tragic episode in a life that had so deeply affected the course of history in the United States. Missy, a driven and often tormented soul, led an expedition of discovery that expanded a young nation’s economic potential, increased its scientific understanding, and enhanced its worldwide reputation.”

Now that you’ve created an impressive beginning, you’ll want to continue the flow…

Fixing shingles on the roof, plumbing the faucet and fearlessly exploring the darkest most inaccessible corners of the crawl space…….Yabber, yabber, doo etc!

Brookey, missed you at the spring break celebrations, although I did find out why God placed the nostrils above ones mouth; it comes in handy when drinking a bottle of beer whilst upside down!

May family concerns reduce in proportion to improvement.

No really, warmest felicitations to all and I beg your forbearance due to my somewhat irascible countenance in challenging Dutchy to a foot race!

Happy Easter to all who believe; and good luck in hell for the rest.

Gotta go unpack; catch y’all sometime soon.
Izzie

@Izzie,
Hey Crew

Alex " sneaky cement a? Wishing you a wonderful Easter and much happiness my friend.

TC - hope the snow is all disappearing and you 'n hubby get some time off over Easter - can you see yer crocuses yet????

Mis " hope you had a good day Dixie and are all set for the weekend. Are you having an Easter Egg Hunt. I have a bunny I could send over Very Happy How’s the bio coming along?

db " how lovely to see you gal and to have you jumping on the deck. How’s it going in your part of the world? All good wishes for a speedy recovery and hope you are still going out and walking with the dawgs. How’s things with daughter now? Hugs gal.

Ahhhhhhhhhh " there’s that PaddyBoy " hope the Emerald Isle is basking in the sunshine too and all is well with you and yours.

Well " the wabbit is well-ish, I think " he’s a feisty little fella " too cute for words " he seems to have picked up but isn’t really eating or drinking too much, if at all " I have him in the little boys room on his own as the kitties keep thinking meals on wabbit paws would make a tasty snack " ugh! Farmer popped in with the kids and was very happy to see waskaly wabbit " says he needs to be a little stronger before I let him go, which is fine with me. Hoping he’ll get thru tonite too. Ya know " my worst fear is letting the little guy go and a blooming great buzzard whippin’ on down and scooping him up. Might have to take him to the woods and let him go there.

So, know most folks are gonna be busy over the Easter Break so I shall wish y’all a verra verra Happy Easter and hope everyone has a lovely time with friends and family.

Babbling " thoughts for you and yours - hoping and wishing PaPaBabbling to improve steadily and that he’ll tell you to go and eat something verra soon. Love you.

I’ll be on the deck ...... so catchy’all then and whenever. Very Happy

Lovin’ y’all. x

@Izzie,
Love the Daffodils Didge - I love the marble idea...why have I never thought of that?

Izzie - we will have an Easter Egg Hunt Sunday. We will go to my father and mother in laws house for that. All the cousins get together and all the aunts and uncles hide them. It's fun. I hope the weather is good. You know I would love to have the bunny. He is adorable...I am glad you decided just to go with "boy" instead of squeezing his little weewee out. Wink That made me laugh.

The biography is not quite done...doesn't sit well yet.

It sounds like I bit the dust. I am thinking I don't like that biography Tryagain. Though I appreciate the pointers.

Hi TaiChi...wishing warmth and sunshine up your way soon.

@mismi,
i like using marbles or small stones in vases, you use less water to fill it, and you can use the marbles to hold stems in place, i f the flowers have soft stems, hold the flowers in place and drop (carefully) the marbles around them to hold them in place, if you put the marbles in first it's hard to push the stems in amongst them

Sun, sunshiny day here. Delightfully delovely.

I snoozed with the dogs for a long time this morning. Bailey couldn't decide whether he was in the mood to play fighty-bitey or smoochy dog. Boyz can be like that.

there's a table on shore for those who prefer not to face the ocean breezes

ahhh, I see a few of the regular Yabberers are already seated there
