@Izzie,
Morning Izzie, thank you for posting that lovely photo for ddxx, looks like a very happy young family. Seems like you'll be a busy little beaver today with all those men folk around you, Earl Grey by the gallon. Congratulate the little fella for completing his 10km run, would have loved to have sponsored him. Have a nice day.

@Dutchy,
OMgosh - I can't do this loud thing!

This guy has knocked a massive hole through my outside wall as the flue has been bricked in and he can't get it out - I mean MASSIVE HOLE! There is dust and dirt everywhere and it's sooooooo cold I have 3 sweatshirts and a jacket on. Head is banging with all the noise - ack! I was not designed to live in a building site - unless I am knocking the walls down - which I would then enjoy!

He doesn't know if I will have heating tonite as he wasn't expecting to do this! OH Shocked

k - whinge over - sorry - goes to put kettle on and take some headhurt tablets! Rolling Eyes

STUNNING DAY OUT.... just brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. x

@Izzie,
Seriously - I think I may have to leave! The wall insulation men are here - they are drilling holes right throughout the house from the outside and filling the cavity insulation. The boiler man is drilling from the inside.... out.

It's so loud and it's going to be all day.

I need a teepee in the garden. Crap with noise. My head is hurting bigtime. ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

@OCCOM BILL,
Hey Crew

Morning BEAgle - It’s been a day of it. I’m at home and I have heating fortunately. Yay for heating.

This has been the order of the day…. (oh - may not work - was verra loud - click on pic for video)

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/th_P1000913.jpg

The conservatory now has to be completely redecorated (ack) - however, that’s OKish - as and when tho didn‘t know that was going to happen. The rest of the walls are done externally which is good - lots of dust and grime throughout the house (didn’t know that was going to happen either Shocked dust dust dust). The boiler installation has not been completed - electrician didn’t turn up, but hey ho - should be here tomorrow. I’m tired - verra.

Spent some time sitting by the river today thinking about our Babbling girl and what she must be going thru. Db too… and others who are quiet right now and people no longer with us. It was lovely down there by the babbling brook… reflections...

Anyhoo… my 90 year Godmother had her hip replacement done today and she’s doing very well. Bless her. My neice is still poorly - fingers crossed all will be k tho.

Going to have a look around now. Love to all. x

BILL - thanku so much for letting us know about Brooklyn - great idea to send the pic to her - hope. Do send her all our love.

@Izzie,
Played video Izzie, I couldn't stand one minute of it, let alone all day, I can imagine how you feel, poor thing you have my sympathy. Good you were able to find some peace near the river and reflected on things. Wishing your brave god-mother a speedy recovery, a hip operation at 90, take my hat of to the lady. So sorry to hear about your poor niece, must be hard on the family, she also appears to be a fighter. Hope you sleep well tonight.

@Izzie,
Oh Izzie - I can see why you high tailed it to the river - hope you were not too chilly out there!

I have been thinking of you all. Glad your Godmother did well...will continue to pray for her and for your niece. Praying that she gets stronger and does not have any more problems...

And DeeDee those grandbabies are adorable...those sweet newborns are amazing...nothing like them in the world! I miss my babies....so much! They are here...they just aren't babies anymore...they talk back now....discipline, consistency and lots of patience...it's difficult!

Brooke - you and your Dad and family are also in my prayers...strength and comfort, hope and health - I pray they are all yours.

((Dutchy))

I gotta go cook dinner....the boys have ball practice - in the rain - so nasty - thankfully the Prof will have to take them. Very Happy - cause I don't wanna'!

Hugs and Kisses to all!

@Dutchy,
Thanks BEAgle - yep, they are both fighters.

My Godmother has an incredible life story - well, both of them do actually. My young Godmother was the only white nurse in Africa in her 20's in Zimbabwe... she has written her autobiography which we are hoping to publish this year - hoping to have it on email within the next month or so (will post some pics at some stage). She has so many stories and lifetimes of experiences, fascinating life - truly, an inspirational lady. As you know, my 96 year old Godmother travelled to Australia when she was 23.... my parents chose those who were to influence my life, well. Makes me realise I need to do more with my life. Really.

Off to make a cuppa ... Earl Grey all round?

edit: Ooooooooooh Missy - there you are Miss Sunshine! Hey - who won Trivial Pursuits!!!!!!!!! So good to see you - you sound good gal. x

Hey crew,
Writing on the dreaded Blackberry in my most exquisite bedroom in a castle hotel. Sis I wish you were here to share it with me. Even ordered room service breakfast for the morning. Entertained work colleagues from Germany all day so deserve the luxury...and they upgraded me!!
Anyway, enough trivia.
I really came on to see how Brooke is doing and to send my love and prayers to her (thanks Bill for the updates).
Also wanted to say congratulations to deedee on the birth of her beautiful grandaughter. She is gorgeous.
Mis you are right. They are so perfect when they are born...bless them all.
Iz - I know how you hate noise. Big sympathy hun. Hope you are warm now.
Dutchy.love to you sweetie and to all the crew

Oh F/Q is that an invite into your most exquisite bed room, I tell you what I gladly bring you your breakfast, just ring the bell. Laughing

All jokes aside, I'm pleased you're in Germany, after what must have been an horrific week at the home-front, you deserve a bit of luxury. Aufwiedersehen.

@FlavourQueen,
I am much better Izzie thank you - the only thing really pestering me is being tired and this dang cough...can't seem to kick it - the Prof kicked my butt in TP - typical - s'why I drank the wine...I can just laugh then.

OH FQ~ how fun is that? You sound like you live such a great life...getting to see all those places...sounds wonderful!

I loved my dinner Dutchy...plain fare but certainly comfort food to me.

I am the ONLY one in my house right now....my doggies are snuggled at my feet and I am going to go sit on the couch and watch some shows...chick stuff...no basketball, or baseball tonight!

xx

see y'all later

Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá ’le Pádraig or Lá Fhéile Pádraig), colloquially St. Paddy's Day or Paddy's Day, is an annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick (circa AD 385"461), one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17.

So…….we’re flying the Irish flag today (I miss this lovely ship…)

@Izzie,
Loved that Irish song Izzie, now having had a couple of 'snorts' and being St.Patricks day here I can tell you this Irish joke, Lmur will love this one.

An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman were reading a newspaper article about which nationalities' brains were for sale for transplant purposes. An Irishman's or a Scotsman's brain could be bought for £500 but an Englishman's brain cost £10,000. That proves,' said The Englishman, 'that Englishmen are much cleverer than Irishmen or Scotsmen.'
'No it doesn't,' said The Irishman, 'it just means that an Englishman's brain has never been used.' Razz Razz
