That little boy is adorable - and Iz - you so pretty! I do feel better - thank you. I expect I will be back to normal in no time..if I could just get rid of this cough and get all my energy back, I will be peachy.

Thanks JPB...I have rested much today - even took a nap..it was loverly. I am excited for you about the green stuff...we are quite flowery around here - I love it - I can't wait to get to Mobile next week and see all the Azaleas. I love Azaleas - and they are gorgeous down there - they are everywhere!

My pooches have behaved badly today...jumped the fence. I had to drive around - couldn't find them...stuck my fingers in my mouth and whistled and here they come running - grinning from ear to ear. At least they came when I whistled. But that means I have to go get electric fencing and I was trying hard to avoid that.

And I tried to change out the electrical switch in my bathroom...it's gone bad I guess...and the Prof wouldn't let me...(I should not have told him what I was going to do) he thinks I will electrocute myself...I am the daughter of an electrical engineer for pete's sake - I know how to do it. And I HATE being told I can't do something...makes me want to do it more. grrr

Oh Verby, I was thinking of you yesterday. We had a mini-Holi celebration at our office yesterday. There are quite a few people who celebrate it. We didn't have coloured powders, but we did have samosas! the company brought them in for us. ohhhhhhh so good.

I live very close to Toronto's Little India, and now I work in the centre of Toronto's Indian community. Happy happy happy-making me

I hope that it's late enough in the day and late enough in the week that db and FlavQ are past the worst parts, and ready to start looking forward.

No news here - weather much milder, daughter being induced on Sunday, house has been full of visitors and will have more next week when son-in-laws mother, father and step-mother arrive in time for new arrival. It is called gujiya you had one of these by any chance? normally north of India celebrates with much fervour so they prepare these..we in south are nt that into it and my cousin who had recently shifted from North very badly wanted this sweet and i sent her the recipe

Well, we were up at 6.30 - little fella off to school with his red nose and his swollen nose (looked almost normal button nose this morning) and off to do his 10K charity run - but I am going back to lie down for a while if I can get the knockin' Mizzle Thrush to quit peckin the window. My jaw is locked (yes yes yes...hahahahah c'mon with the wise cracks - this maybe a silent day - ho ho ho - but gotta bunch of pain going up to my ear and I can't open me moooooth - it's so sore- ack! Hands and feet are playing hookie with the body movement - so, back to my bunk for a little bit - oof. Minor glitch - lack of sleep methinks.

Boiler people were supposed to be installing a new boiler today - mine is still defunct - now coming on Monday as they have folk off sick - so hope the sicklies get better soon. Wall insulation also being done on Monday - (oh..... lots of people here - which means lots of tea making! All done on a government grant - can you believe it - if you don't earn much dosh - the government help you to become greener and try and make your house more efficient. Quite amazed actually. Very grateful. (no.... I will not forgive their past indiscretions regarding social care - but hey, one department will at least make my house a little warmer).

Okeydokey - my berth awaits as the painkillers kick in - ugh - can't bear waking up like this. All will be back to normal in a few hours hopefully.

Toodlepip - everyone have GREAT days and, for FQ - she'll be the glad the weeks over - was very down on Wednesday nite... very - it's a side of the job that takes a piece of her heart. Ooooh.... I think she may be down this weekend with family-in-law stuff - oh, might have got the wrong weekend... oh oh oh... bit excited now (brain like a sieve)...might be next weekend - darn it... I should know that.

'Tis also my young Godmothers 90th Birthday today which is wonderful. She is having a hip replacement on Monday Bless my Godmother. Going to make her a photo card today.

db - thinking of you - you'll be full of chemo - but it's the good stuff to get rid of the bad stuff - it's doing it's power to the bad cells tho you'll be suffering with the effects right now. We'll send you the posivibes - just you get thru the days and take it easy and jump onboard when you feel able. x

Hi Captain just dropped by and saw your post, hope by the time you read this note, you're feeling heaps better. Loved the photos of you and the little fella, when I compare the two pictures I can see all your cheekiness in his face, bless him. Babies doing well and bearing some fruit, need lots more rain though! Haven't been on line much as lots of little things to do, most of today was taken up with servicing my car, as we're leaving for the long drive tomorrow week and I want it in A1 condition. Take care princess.

Ha.... 10 mins later.... still up - so hard to go back to bed once you're up about tho I know I have to - ooooooooooh achy breaky body! <sings country and western if youtube would allow> oh - that made me chuckle too (through closed mouth) - S-boy called me his "princess" last nite when we were looking through photos - then he hugged me and kissed my cheek - awwwwwwwwwwwww - he's such a treasure! Bless him - need to go get his eyes checked hahahahahaha!

Started my course yesterday, it was a real long day. Am having a panic over how much work and study I have to do!!

Then found a leak under my sink so late into work, waiting for plumber, who didn't arrive and then when I got to work, yep you have guessed it! I had a call to say he had arrived ARGH, so rang brother to go help. He didn't sound too pleased mmmmmmmm, probably regretting that I live so close now! Ha!
