Brooke honey; under no circumstances should you put your head in the sand and leave your butt in the air…Better you put your butt in the sand and hold your head up high.

Did I ever tell you about the picture of Missy with her butt in the sand? Works for me!

Hi JPB; looking good…

@JPB,
Brooke. Been there, feel your pain and know that you won't be able to change how far you push yourself.
But screw the people who try to make you feel guilty for it. They will never be the achievers....and you just can't please all the people all the time. Stay true to you. You are great xx

@FlavourQueen,
Hi F/Q glad you made it back home safely. Like you I'm a little worried about our Captain, have left her messages for past couple of days, but no replies??? Maybe a phone from you may bring the answer. Waiting for our cool change to arrive, still extremely hot with enormous dust storms around the City, a sure sign of a change in the weather working up.

@Dutchy,
I feel horrible.

I feel like a piece of crap.

What I believe in, I don’t know if I believe in anything. I thought I was special in a way I hadn’t quite fathomend " you know " a f*cked up arrogant thought. I know I am to some " to others I am a piece of shite " deserved no doubt.

My youngest son is stranded at school. His father berated me - understatment of the year as the wanker disappears off for two weeks the following week... for not telling him I was having surgery " he says I am piece of work... therefore I must be a complete fraud anywhere else. Told him I felt **** enough putting one child in care and not being able to look after another when I’m sick and didn’t need the guilt trip from him. I now won’t see my youngest son until next Thursday nite " we are due for more snow and his school is as rural ...more so... than I live " no-one is getting in or out... it’s not safe with the ice. Okehampton got hit with 55cm of snow in 24 hours " a week ago we would never have thought his and about 30K folk are out of power with the power lines toppling with weight of the snow on the trees falling.

Little fella cried a lot " mainly because he had told his father about the surgery and because the ex went off on one. It doens’t affect his father who will not even be here as is travelling in the US " so what is his ******* problem. He made it clear many years ago, neither I or the children were his priority and he will not run his life to suit his children or ex. It was a bottle then, it is his girlfriend now " he can **** off and leave me alone," he did that many years even when were a family " bastard. My business is mine and the little fella will be looked after and have fun whilst he is at school " he has been aware of whats going on.

S-boy I hope will be fine " if the weather improves on Sunday I will drive up to see him and stay for a while. The snow is due back heavy on Sunday nite. We are extremely rural... his school is nowhere near anywhere. He just wanted to hug me before Tuesday. I’m have a minor surgical procedure on Monday lunchtime at the GPs if I can get into town " another nuisance, but has to be done.

Today, I lost about 10 hours. Much of that " I lay in my bed, pulled the covers up and cried like a baby. I didn’t sleep too much " a little " the dreams were nasty. I just lay there not wishing to care anymore. When you care " you get hurt. When you trust- it can bite your arse.

So......................... with me and the Babbling girl................what’re we gonna do about it. Left you a cell message " just wanted to let you know you have one reason you care. Tho I do understand what you are saying love.

Oh..sorry...............fell asleep on here typing................." Kicky said that once “the boring thread!) heyho.Kicky can - he's right with this crap.

Need to go bed.

Thinking of you all " you’re in whats left of my heart,,, good jobs it’s a biggun and ugly. Babbling " don’t give up - do what’s write for you. Only you matter tho I know you are feeling the same way as me.

Need to shutdown. Feel beter those who are sick and their babies... and thanku everyone for keeping on talkin. You do well here. I don't need to worry about being around.

lovin' y'all. Thanku for listening.

W.W.N.D. - I don't know - she was so wise - I miss her.

(((Brooke))) & (((Izzie)))
Girls you are both very much in my thoughts, I can appreciate why you both are feeling that way, and it is good you have vented your feelings so honestly. I sincerely hope the tide will turn for you both and that laughter is just around the corner. Wish that I could do more than just a few words here but there are oceans of water between us, hence this has to suffice. Hugs from downunder.

You have mail Izzie.

@Dutchy,
Oh Izzie and Brooke, am feeling so much for both of you. I'm pleased at least you can share your problems here. Life is certainly challenging sometimes, as I too am finding in the last few months, but we are great, however much we suffer, we DO get through and friends who stick by us are a wonderful strength (unfortunately my two best ones have deserted me as if I am infected by my family problem, which hurts but I've had to move on). The crew all know each other so well now, our lives, our families, our pains and our joys so when someone is going through a bad time we REALLY care.

Brooke - I'm in the final year of a degree and the pressure is really on here. I really understand as I too set the highest standards and some days are difficult and most of my fellow students are finding that, whatever their standards. But overall it IS definitely worth it. Especially when you are doing so well, you can always award yourself some time off and go back refreshed after a day or two. YOU are all that matters so please don't let anyone else get you down.

Izzie, love you so much. Can't bear to think of what you are going through. Hope Tulip and FQ can help you. I understand that this damn snow is an extra problem now. Your ex's behaviour is horrible but just think of yourself and your boys, not him. He's the past and you need minimal contact now. Please please ring me any time. I'm emailing my numbers again. I know all the crew are reaching out to you in any way we can, whatever the distance. Hope the love and concern we feel gives you a glow inside somewhere, somehow.

Hi Captain, just phoned DDXX and they are fine. Had a very scary day but not being threatened by fires at the moment. She says hi to all and thank you for your interest.

No fires in SA to my knowledge, cool change has arrived with 25 degrees forecast for tomorrow. Victoria is the worst hit State, 14 fatalities sofar but that number is likely to rise into the 40's.

Good morning all,
Well, the ice has almost totally melted, and the sun is shining today.
Its going to be about 60 degrees here today, thats much better then it was last week.

Izzie,
I am sorry about whats happening to you right now.
If you can get your ex's travel plans in the US, I can probably get a few friends and we will all have a "talk" with him and convince him to stop being such an ass.

As for the little ones, with one trapped at school and one home sick, I can see why you are so upset and worried.
But they will be fine, so try not to worry to much.You need to worry about yourself for a while.
You know my phone number, so if you want to, give me a call and I will let you cry on my shoulder or let you scream at me, whichever makes you feel better.
Of course, if you want to, send me an e-mail with your phone number and I will call you (if I can figure out the time difference).

Remember, my thoughts are with you.
As for the rest of the crew thats across the pond, take care of each other and help each other get thru the bad weather you are having.
Dont make me come over there and do it for you.

And for the crew from Oz, where the world seems to be on fire, if there is anything I can do to help any of you, let me know.
I have some rather fond memories of Oz, and know what you are going thru with the fires.
Take care of each other, look after the animals, and any of you that want to can e-mail me or call me at anytime.
Izzie has my phone # or if you want to email me I will give it to you that way.

Talk to all of you later.
Izzie

@Izzie,
ha! you know tangled yarn will pull me in Very Happy

I've been untangling things literally and virtually.

Hafla tonight. Looking forward to seeing my friend, Jennkat (new A2k'er), do her first solo. Verra verra excited about it. The musicians who will play tonight have just been nominated for a Juno (the Canadian Grammy) - how exciting to be in an audience of about 120 people for this.

Warming up for a couple of days. Good things. My nostrils were getting a bit crunchy Shocked

One of my favourite old movies - Ship of Fools - a place for the best to share the best and the worst of it.

Smooches to you all
