Oh wait, I remember he and Dadpad talking about their various volunteer fire departments and they each posted links to their local organization. I think it was in the thread about the fires in Australia that DadPad was working the lines on. I'll look for that.

It definitely wasn't in the actual wedding thread. I'm trying to remember the specific context. He hasn't been at any of the stomping grounds I sometimes find him at.

I heard from 2packs last night that while his area is at about 98% power, there are other areas nearby only at 20%. MM may very well still be without power...

Funny 'ole thing this weather........... I got sunshine here at home - and 10 miles away (close to where I work) the secondary schools have brought in all the buses and closed the main Big School. Very strange. Nothing here yet but I think the East Coast has about a foot of snow! Unbelievable. Would I love to be there with my camera - in the centre of London, St.Pauls and BigBen and the HOP. Would look truly magical.

oooooooooooooo......it's just started snowing here....

would ya adam and eve it..... the little fellas school is closing and the kids are being bussed out now..... he's not due in until 3.30pm but apparently up there, the snow is heaping. I just said to the school... the kids maybe only get one day of snow a year... so I think I shall keep him off tomorrow and let him build a snowman with Tulips kids. We'll see how bad it gets (oh, bad for us is a couple inches.... not a couple of feet!)

Hi, love to all. A couple of inches snow on the ground here this morning and it's been snowing most of today - apparently a lot more is coming our way tonight. Worst snow for 18 years in UK generally. I went out for a short while today to stock up on food and the pavements were very slippery and covered with a sheet of ice in places so now I will be able to stay indoors for a couple of days if necessary. Happy Monday everyone. x

Now .......... MysteryMan.... no.... not the Blue GIT...... MM - JEFF......... he is good. Had a lovely talk with him - it has been horrendous for them - starting last Monday. They lost power for days and had to go stay with family. The snow.....isn't..... only a tiny bit of snow..... but 4-5 INCHES of ICE. Everything has been snapped. The trees, telephone poles...... he has a tree that is right across his yard - they lost all their food in the freezer with no power..... (little fella was with me as I called thru the laptop and he said "they shoulda put the food out in the yard"....out of the mouths of babes and all that - bless) - so, anyhooooooooooooo..... MM wanted to say "hey" to everyone and he will make a full deckhand report as soon as they get internet back - which at the moment.... is on an unknown timescale. He sounded great - was lovely to hear him laugh and he had a wee chat with the little fella too.

Stacy is doing OK.... and Jason - today was back to work for all... and they are coping.

Cody - well, he's happy to be off school... resilient children - they are amazing.

So - big smile that they are safe and well.
