@devriesj,
Hey Dev
If I had a man like that to bring me a cocktail or 2 I'd be in second heaven.
Snow is falling now and its so chilly. Just picturing izzie and I lying on an ozzie beach with beagle waiting on us!! What a thought!!
Off to the Fatherland this week for work!! If I ever get to the airport, so wish you all a happy time.
Big hugs to the hot and the cold crew!

@FlavourQueen,
Waiter calling FlavourQueen, would indeed be a pleasure to attend to you and Izzies every wish. May not have the body of Dev's dream boy but the spirit is willing. Laughing Enjoy your trip to Germany, aufwiederzehn.

Dev, the Steelers andf the Cardinals got a lot of publicity here only because a champion Aussie footballer is representing the Cardinals (underdogs). Ben Graham is the man, the only downunder man ever to appear in the Superbowl, have seen him play here and he's no pushover!

Captain praying your head-ache has disappeared and you got on top of all your paper-work. Still only wearing my shorts, hot, hot, hot!

Brooke, if you want a tan, here is the place to be, temperature has topped 100 plus for last 7 days and another one coming up today! Bikini minimum requirement less is even better. Wink

Now going to attend to my J/P's and see if I can improve my word skills. Ladies are getting the better of me, time to show them, don't mess with Dutchy. Smile

@Dutchy,
Morning all. See we have a spunky waiter serving drinks thanks to Dev - mmmm. Loved the pic of the deer Brooke - enjoy your "goofing off" time. Glad to see Missy is getting better. Sorry about the head-hurt Izzieliz. Enjoy your trip FQ. As Beagle has said still in high temps here - looks like a week of temps in the mid to high thirties here. How's your garden coping Beagle? Hugs to all.

@deedeexx,
Morning ddxx, weather overcast and very, very humid, 39 forecast for today. Garden is in a mess, heat killed all the beans and tomato plants, have been able to save my rock and water melons by secretly watering them at night. My 18 month old lemon and orange trees doing a treat though, keep them well watered too! A/C running 24 hours a day, dread my next power bill. Sad

@Dutchy,
Ditto with the aircon Beagle. Have had the pool full with kids and grandkids and the water temp in pool is 32 degrees. Lost a few plants too and the laser light on my hot house turned black in the heat - never seen anything like it. If we don't get rain soon will have to turn the bore on to try and keep some water in the dam for animals and birds. The bore water is a little high in iron but okay for animals. Going to take mama shopping before it gets to hot.

Dutchy, you little fox! If I could be where it was warm enough to wear a bikini right now...... I'd probably be so happy, I'd think about that "less is even better requirement" ...... cuz the trade-off would be more than worth it! No bikini for a day in the pool. Yeah...! Something like this ......

@JustBrooke,
Wow Brooke, two great minds think alike, there certainly would be fireworks, which incidently reminds me of a joke I heard last night.
I'm a Fireman!
Man goes to a fancy dress party wearing only a glass jar on his penis.
A woman asks, 'What are you?'
He says, 'I'm a Fireman' ???
'But you're only wearing a glass jar?', says the woman.
'Exactly! In an emergency, break glass, pull knob and I'll come as fast as I can!' Razz

Anyone had some contact with Mysteryman since the 27th on A2K? Kentucky was hit the hardest with this ice storm and he's probably volunteering with the fire department to help rescue people. Hope he and his family are warm and safe.

Quote:

Thaw comes slowly to storm-ravaged Kentucky
By ROGER ALFORD " 2 hours ago

CANEYVILLE, Ky. (AP) " Thousands of National Guard troops swinging chainsaws cut their way into remote communities Sunday to reach residents stranded by a deadly ice storm, freeing some to get out of their driveways for the first time in nearly a week.

The soldiers went door-to-door handing out chili and beef stew rations to people cooped up in their powerless homes as authorities ratcheted up the relief effort for what Gov. Steve Beshear called the biggest natural disaster ever to hit the state.

The sight of Humvees rolling up one street in rural Grayson County, about 90 miles southwest of Louisville, sent children bouncing off the walls inside the generator-powered house where Bryan Bowling and 18 other people have been hunkering down by a fireplace.

"The kids were looking out the windows and yelling, 'Yay! We're saved!'" said Bowling, 30, who has a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old.

"It's just good to know that people care."

Kentucky was hit hardest by the ice storm that paralyzed wide areas from the Ozarks through Appalachia early last week. Officials blamed or suspected the storm in at least 42 deaths nationwide, most from hypothermia, traffic accidents or carbon monoxide poisoning from improperly installed generators or charcoal grills used indoors.

At its height, the storm knocked out power to 1.3 million customers from the Southern Plains to the East Coast, more than 700,000 of them in Kentucky, a state record. By Sunday, the figure had dropped closer to 400,000 in Kentucky, with scattered outages in other states.

The 4,600 soldiers Beshear ordered on duty, including his entire Army National Guard, swept through the state distributing food and water, removing fallen trees, providing security and checking houses in hard-to-reach areas. They brought food to Henry Mudd, among others, who said he has had nine family members staying in his powerless apartment, usually home to just three.

@Butrflynet,
I've been trying to find the website for the organization he's part of. He gave us the link when he and Stacey got married. Can't find it, but it's clear Morganfield got a bad hit in this storm.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28953607/

I hope he and his family are safe.
