Hi mismi, Izzie, Whiteviolet, ehBeth, JPB, BigRed, Brooke and verbivore, thanks you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind words of concern.
Have been waiting all day for a progress report from son which came through tonight, we already knew the fires were extinguished and he was ok, so we didn't bother calling him as we knew he would be extremely busy. Although the damage to freezer rooms and building is extensive, their main office block with computers and company records were saved, as was their engineering block. However all their fishing equipment, nets at $40.000 each, and fish farms were destroyed. The irony is everything was in readiness for the new Tuna season commencing for them next week. Son stated they may still sail as their fishing vessels are ok and other firms have offered help with loans of equipment etc. Owner and son will make a decision in the next few days which course they are going to adopt. Heading for bed shortly, cheers to all the crew.

I am so glad that M et al are alright tho I can imagine that it is a difficult time for M right now. So so happy they are safe tho. The business will get back up - he's a hard worker - he'll make it happen. Get some sleep my friend and know we are all thinking about you and hugging you big. Love you D x

Dutchy, I am sorry about your son's fishing business. I haven't been keeping up with the threads too well lately and I had no idea this was going on. You were talking about going to Port Lincoln? Was that before this happened?

Hi Bathy, fires are under control, and stocktaking at the moment as so much equipment etc is lost. I will be travelling to Pt. Lincoln in March, bush fire only happened in last couple of days. I'm quietly confident they'll bounce back. Best wishes to you and hope you're feeling lots better.
