I have a beautiful little niece... she's very special... I saw her at the weekend - she always reminds me just how fragile life is

I've been thinking about her a lot over the last few days

i told her mom i would make a video for her - she just reached another birthday - and she has the most beautiful smile in the world...

Thanks, Izzie. Annie has a toy digital camera. She has always loved to look at the moon. At the age of two, she was already pointing out the moon to me. Annie thinks the moon follows her around and waits near her bedroom window every night. When she is old enough to join A2K, I am sure she will participate on Noddy's "howl at the moon" thread.

Went out with a couple of girlfriends today, had lunch & just yabbered! One has a 2-month old baby boy (so cute) - spent the afternoon with her running errands, being an extra set of hands and being Auntie Jay. I'm just winding down right now. Anyone about?

My boys got their report cards today. S made all A's / J made 4 A's and a B and cried his eyes out. It has broken my heart. I told him over and over we were every bit as proud of him as we would have been had he made 5 A's. Kind of difficult though - the reason he made the B was because he was careless on a test and read the directions wrong. So it is a hard lesson to learn. Stinks.

G-baby is doing fine...their report cards have numbers and he is 3's on most of them which means he is at the end of year status for a Kindergartener (I have just totally forgotten how to spell Kindergarten - is that right? It looks wrong. I have lost my mind)

Anyway....I am going to the mountains with my girlfriends again. Heading out next weekend. I cannot wait. The boys are going camping too. Thank goodness I do not have to go. I am not a good camper. I would try to be a good sport - but it is hard - I do not like sleeping in a tent. At all.

Alex... do you have plans for the weekend? Gardening? I saw two Jays today - beautiful birds - they were too fast for me to capture on film - but I can picture them right now - truly beautiful boids. x

Mis... hokey cokey gal - didn't those boys all do well - how happy is that? I'm not too good with the "grade" system - HA - and I work in a school! What a huge achievement for them - you must be so very proud - of course, they have the best Mom, so... no matter what their grades, they are gonna be fab, well rounded children. Well done you girlie. x

Now, if only I could post the video of the children at my school this morning. We do "shake awake" in the morning - that's 15 minutes or so (depending on how good the music is) in the playground or hall - of shaking themselves awake before the school day starts. This morning I videoed them - we did my song "I don't feel like Dancing - Scissor Sisters" and then the brilliant "5,6,7,8 Rodeo" song - such a laugh - their faces are a picture when they see us doing this (especially when you are rooted to the spot and pretending to lassoo a "something") - great fun.

So, where are the rest of the motley crew a? I come back - y'all disappear below decks a? a? a?
