@mismi,
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, mis. It sounds lovely and, yep, I fully understand about adult time and special days when the kids are being watched by the g-parents.

Guess who woke up at 8:00? First time I've slept past 7:00 in years. Heh, nothing like an all-night yabber fest to finish off one great day and roll straight into the next one. I'm not expecting to see anyone else for hours yet which allows me some time to hog the keyboard for myself and enjoy my morning coffee in a house full of tea drinkers.

Did you see that full moon last night? We howled for Noddy and included you all in a group hug. Here's what it looked like in Kansas.

It was stunning to see and wonderfully captured by the captain.

I need to venture off to the food forum and beg for fish recipes. Between the farmer's market and the fish market we managed to pick up enough goodies to feed everyone onboard. Another great day in Kansas ahead. Karma is working overtime this week as she keeps the temps comfortably warm for Izzie's visit. The locals are talking about how strange it is to have such a long string of unseasonably cool weather (lower 80s). We know perfectly well why but we're keeping the secret to ourselves.

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday from wherever you are.

@Eva,
Good morning, Eva!

The household is stirring. S_ is booting up his video game and sends a big "HI" to Son of Eva and a reminder that he is the chess master Wink , Izzie sends hugs and is still wondering about how firm her plans need to be, RH says we've got two full days left and you're only a few hours away. Dinner is at 7:00 and trust me we've got plenty to go around.

Eva, Izzie has some pictures for you to preview. A couple of them even passed my critical review. She'll send them over by email in a bit.

@JPB,
Wow, I'd love to have dinner with all you guys, but I can't leave here today & tonight. I have to be at the school today from 3:45 to 6 p.m. for the parents' Open House. Then I have to get SonofEva back on schedule to start classes first thing tomorrow morning. (He's been going to bed around midnight all summer. This will not be easy.)

Re: Tuesday's schedule when you come back through...I have a class to teach at 10:45am, but will be out of there by noon. I'll go back at 3:00 to pick up SonofEva, but other than that, my day and evening are free. Let me know if you'll be around!

@Dutchy,
Good morning all - wow Izzieliz - great photos, Devil's Den looks amazing. Feels like we are there too. Glad you enjoyed your time alone with the prof, Missy. E-beth you are right about Yabber-liner needing roll call. So many of us now. Welcome to Eva, I know most of the rest of the crew know her already, but I have yet to have the pleasure. So welcome aboard Eva. FQ - Orlando sounds great and another anniversery coming up! Good morning/evening to the rest of the crew and looking forward to reading more of captain's posts.

@deedeexx,
I posted one day about being down at the beach here and watching a group of master swimmers zooming past me and into the lake.

Here's one of the shots of that morning

hard to believe that we're in the middle of one of North America's largest cities ...

@Eva,
Hi Y'all

Hope you all are having a good day. I am tired - I was up late doing stuff I had no business doing at 11:30pm....folding, ironing - could have done it today - and now I'm all bleary eyed. Ugh.

But I do not have to go anywhere today...which makes me very happy.

So - I am going to go vacuum and straighten and dust then I am going to start on my fun projects...
hugs to all...
mis

Hey y'all

Good to see everyone. Loved the photo Beth.... looks very peaceful there - luverly. Hope your weekend was wonderful.

Eva - love having you on the ship - will email photos down to you - they are so fab - the smiles sum up our meeting - it was just so good to meet you - I wish we could have spent more time together....I will be back tho - no worries.

Indeedee - how was your weekend - hope all is good - we had a great fish fest last nite - will post pics soon - we had salmon, trout, snapper - mmmm mmmmmm good.

Missy - hope you have a restful day today now that chores are done - hope the little fellas have set off to school and you can relax hun. So wish we could be together.

We had a special day yesterday - we visited a wonderful family who lived in probably the most fascinating place I have ever been - so many pics to post - we then went and met Gram - oh, she is just adorable - the sweetest lady ever.. it was very special. We removed bagworms from Grams tree - RH and I went supermarket shopping - which is weird coz it was just so normal wandering around choosing food and just no effort whatsoever - the four of us have been housemates for a few days - just so normal. GREAT. Its just been a fab few days - very late nites (JPB will need a holiday when she gets back) and the little fella has been a star and has thoroughly enjoyed himself. RH has made us so welcome and made us so comfortable - I can't tell you how much that means to JPB and I - and it's so relaxing being here.

I must tell you tho I have missed you all so much over the last couple weeks - am still trying to get around the new A2K - wish I could see who was posting - BEAgle and BLUE - missing you both heaps. Looking forward to catching up with Vegemite and missing Tulip here.... S-boy can't wait to see F-boy. Need to find out how WytVi is too - will call her when I get to the UK but if anyone has her email address - please do keep in contact with her if she's not here - she's crew and we need her to sail plainly with us too. Stevie should be back soon too - think he's on his hols - miss him too. FQsis is in the carribean - we checked out Hurricane Fay's track and we think she must be well clear so hopefully she is having the bestest holiday - she so needs it.

Queen Dev - thinking about you girlie - wondering if you managed to get to the beach and how you are doing.

Brooke Babbling Girl - haven't seen you for a while my dear friend - hope you have managed to get back on to A2K - know you are travelling a wee bit at the moment - love you girl - hoping you are alright and baby Noah is getting stronger. Heart and soul - hands held.

Will catch up with you all properly soon - flying back to the UK this Friday - unless we change our plans - and will have some online time when I get home.

Love y'all and do miss yabbering with you.

Smooches xxxx

Hi Captain great to hear from you and reading you're having a great time. I'm slowly finding my way around this new site but don't mind admitting I have my reservations about it all. e.g You can't see who is on line and playing, and can't see if your post has been answered unless you search and scroll, but we'll persevere for a while and see if things will improve. Maybe I'm going the wrong way about, perhaps some knowledgeable nerd can pointg me in the right direction. Smile

@Dutchy,
THAT'S what I was missing! Couldn't put my finger on it til you mentioned it, Dutch-! You can't see who's online! Plus I miss knowing whether or not my posts are answered via e-mail. Wonder if that's coming back or not? I know they're not finished yet. A knowledge nerd I'm not, but if you go to click on the "abletoknow" in the top left up there, you may find a thread or a knowledge nerd who can help you with any question you may have. Does that help?
