Hey crew
Oh lovelies - lovely to be here - little fella and I are settling right on in. Oh....we're home.
Babbling - so good to see you my friend - will be calling you soon! Love you. Getting a VOIP set up.... when I do... will be ringing.
QueenDev - PM me your number hun and I'll sort!
So.... what have we been up to...
well - I did start writing yesterday but was too tired to post... but will do so now even tho it's actually quite boring and seems ages ago...
We're HERE
..
Where is here
. Well, right now sitting in Newark - OMG - the flight was OK - very long - little fella was so excited (as was I) with the clouds
.we didn't sleep
. - the flight was full - they didn't have a vegetarian meal for the little guy but he was cool with that
.towards the end of the flight it got real turbulent - S-boy was brilliant - by this stage I had started feeling very poorly - then, the phone went missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, panic set in - I couldn't check the bag coz you can't move - and then I was really not very well. So, everyone got off the plane when we landed - I was put in a wheelchair and trundled through airport, through security (rather nice immigration officer who said he was 5 days older than me so we discussed that '64 was a good year to be born) - collected bags - back through security - has some nasty security officers there but hey ho - all whilst I was sat in a wheelchair (I have never been so glad to see one of those before) - then, as someone else had got my bags - the duty free had been left on the plane and somebody will benefit from a bottle of Baileys and 5 bars of Toblerone (gutted!) - arrived at domestic departures and the gate had changed. Then
. We sat down and the little fella burst into tears
talk about hot and tired.
So we are sitting here waiting for the next flight to Dallas - another 4 hours on the plane
.. oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh - I hope the flight isn't full and maybe we can catch a little sleep. Little fella has just come over having gone to order some "fries" - he said "they look like fat caterpillars" in New York. Oh - you should have seen him when we flew in - whilst I was deep breathing and doing my level best not to be ick - he was holding on so tightly to my hand and positively "gleeful" - just so enthusiastic about seeing the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. It was fab!!!!!! We were adopted by the lady who sat next to us who just was so enthralled by the little fella's zest - she said it was a joy to hear a little person be so happy and enthusiastic about everything. She knows all about you guys now and the journey here - I know all about her family and divorces and all that
she was just lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Her hubby had died at Christmas and her son and DIL live in Noo Yawk! blah blah blah......
(flight was only 3.5 hours - no sleep - but not as bad as the first!)
anyhoo - last nite we went to the neighbours - OMG - it's like living in a different world - the houses, pools.... just stunning.
had to run and catch the flight...
we love clouds (well, I think y'all know I have a castle in a cloud.... but the little fella took some pics out the window... (I know, just a cloud - but gorgeous!)
