Hey kids - I'm back in from the rain - again!

We need to have at least 48 hours without rain here so I can get my front steps fixed, but we're in the middle of some sort of record-setting summer, as far as rain goes Shocked The upside is, it doesn't matter that the old watering hose split at the end of last year and I hadn't bothered to replace it til recently (will I need it this year?).

~~~
So sad to hear about Sadie. A lovely dog.
I'll give an extra ear tug to my pups tonight in her memory.
~~~

Get out the paddles all, we've got to get the Cap'n across an ocean!

Dear Brooke I am deeply sorry that it was not to be; I am sure the innocent baby Nathan is being well cared for in another place and little Noah will grow stronger each passing day and carry his sprit throughout his life.

I have known sorrow and joy, but not at the same time; I hope the kind and deeply felt words of all the others will lend support to you, Mom, Dad and the whole family at this difficult time.

Good morning all. What a lovely idea Brooke to do that with the posts. You are lucky to have a family that pulls together in times of sadness like this.

Izzieliz - thinking about what Brooke said about getting the "happy" back on board - we should be holding a "bon voyage" party for you.

Very cold here this morning - including a frost but these mornings usually turn into beautiful afternoons.

Hubby has a couple of health issues at the moment so will be running around doing some tests with him. Munchkin turns two this weekend and have a few interstate grandparents (3 - son-i-l's parents divorced) flying in to join the activities. Daughter has just found out she is expecting again so I guess in a year I will be babysitting two munchkins.

Morning crew, like ddxx said, very cold again this morning, down to 1 degree. Many of our inland places are down to as much of -7 degrees. Congratulations with the happy event ddxx, and look after hubby won't you. Make that a double farewell party as the Eagle is leaving for a vacation on the same day as the Captain. No, no, we're not meeting anywhere in secret. Laughing

Brooke said "Now please keep smiling". Well this brought a smile to my face today. Smile

Thought for the day:
There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.
