Hi all, I've been AWOL most of the day but I'm reporting for night duty.

It's been a long day on the work front. I'm looking forward to some smooth sailing tonight.

Izzie -- is there any of that port left? I was thinking of bringing tea, but hey...

RH - no worries and mucho happiness flowing here. Just had a long chat with oldest daughter and my big sis. Both are doing well and sound bubbly and giggly -- a good thing from both directions. Sis said she's spending the day at work looking forward to going home at night to be with K. Sis has been home alone for over a year since her husband passed away. I'm so happy to hear the excitement from both of them.

mismi -- do take care of yourself. Let the boys (and Mr) pamper you. You're entitled.

TTH -- mittens, girl, mittens -- no pockets required.

Happy evening all.

Oh TTHun - thanku for that. Smile You know - we do have the worthiest international crew onboard, so I wouldn't doubt for one minute they would find anything wrong .. well, except possibly for a cheeky BlueBoy in the Crow's Nest being a little bit of a Devil on a Deep Blue Sea. I did notice he was being a little naughty earlier on Shocked - but he seems to have settled down a bit now and is sitting comfortably in his nest! If he misbehaves again - he will be relegated to galley duty for a week! He had better not Try that Again. (Alex - his pizza is not as good as mine - so Try to keep the BlueBoy in check a?) Cool

I'm glad you enjoyed the reception TTHun. Seems like you've taken on a handful - but good for you girl. Gosh, that NG voyage sounds fantastic. Wouldn't you just love to do that? OMgosh - what an adventure that would be. One day maybe. How cool would that be? Razz

JPB - Port is always on board here (one of the few tipples I like - Port, Baileys, Kahlua (don't do coffee tho!) and a G&T) Very rarely drink alcohol actually. Doesn't do me any good. I laugh and yabber just as much with no alcohol - as I do with alcohol. Just don't ever have a head-hurt after a good nite out - which is fab! (the folk I'm with may have ear-hurts from listening to me - but hey - it's happy ear-hurt). Shocked

So glad your K-girl is doing well. You must be so proud of her. Just shows what a great Mom you are - she is a credit to you and PaPaJPB. Very Happy

Oh JPB….. the crew think you need to rest up after your travelling and busy day - so, no night duty tonite for you - just lie on the lounger, relax and watch the sun set across the water.

There you go girl. Enjoy your evening.
(Australia '88 - sailing to Melbourne)

Finally, before the ships log closes for another nite - we are missing one of our trusty crew who has had to take to her berth we believe.

WE MISS-U

The ship's not the same without an "Oh My" every so often.

Feel better soon girlie - hope that the nasty bug will leave you quickly. Just know I'm thinking of you, as I'm certain all the crew are, and wishing you well.

So my berth is now calling and I'm heading below decks. G'nite to the world - catch ya tomorrow.

All crew on board and on shore leave - you are the best. Smile

On night shift and wandering around the deck making sure everybody is safe and sound asleep. Keep telling myself don't rock the boat Dutchy and upset the crew. Laughing
Singing the banana boat song to pass the time "come, Mr Tally man, tally me banana" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Drn3RcEr_ns and drinking a swig of rum like all sailors do.

Good morning to all. A beautiful one at that. Snow is flying horizontal.
Rockhead.Youtube Popeye was neat. I once told my nephew, age five, to eat his spinach, so he can grow and get strong like popeye. He had no clue who that was. Come to find out, Looney tunes also doesn't air on the television. Later on I called up a road runner/wild e coyote youtube video. He thought it was great.
tth-I empathize with your bum shoulder. Is corrective surgery a high percentage fix?

Got that lousey cold that's going around don't you Mismi? Sorry for that I hope your feeling better soon,a straight onion sandwhich has lots of vitamin C in it. Idea 1000 milligrams of vitamin C should knock the cold out of ya. If that don't do it then 2 Mismi

get well soon mismi40 Very Happy

alex surgery is not an option and even if it was, I don't think I would take it. Every surgery I have ever had (5 at least) there were complications. All is fine except for one and the doctors don't know what to do (that would be my R lung is tearing away from my chest wall and migrating to the left lung). A recent cat scan showed it is stable for now, so that is good Very Happy

No, all my hard work and progress went to 0 when I re-injured it in Cancun. I had 2 choices to make. #1 was to let go and get thrown into the windshield of the bus or #2, to hang on as my body went forward and my hand, hence my shoulder, stayed behind me. I choose option #2.

Oh well, such is life so, I will start over again. I might break down and ask for another steroid shot. I rather not since the other 2 didn't seem to work. I have a positive attitude Very Happy
