Hi Captain great to see you in good spirits, wish I could help you shift, alas to much water between you and me. Trust you'll be able to sort it all out on your own and secure a good deal. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Sorry but I haven't seen ddxx today, will fly over there shortly and see what's she up to.

Hey BEAgle - hey, I know you'd be helping me pack if you could - and you do, by being on here - so thanku hunni. No worries. I will manage on my own - MaMa and PaPa will come out next week I am sure to give me a hand with heavy stuff. A lot I need to do on my own - you know, what to keep, what not... better sorting some things on my own - really. Little fella is with his Dad today - so I can make some headway here methinks - just need to "control" the pain - little white pills do wonders in that department. Happy days Very Happy

Yep - give our Indeedee a fly-by - I will from this end too and see where she's at. She's a busy girl so I'm sure she's coco. Very Happy

OH MY - have just listened to this wonderful music from my fave musical - gosh - talk about taking your breath away....

Les Miserables - Do You Hear The People Sing...... Tomorrow Comes!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmaTNf4YhEs&feature=related

oh...... and wipe the tear away.... WHAT AN AMAZING SONG! Major goosebumps and intake of breath....... Razz

I HAVE TO GO AND SEE THIS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Dutchy, Izzie, Alex and dj....

Hope you all are doing well. It is going to be a packed day here as well Izzie...not like yours. My FIL called and said MIL was put in the hospital yesterday for a serious UTI. She couldn't hold food down and so they had to put her on the drip. She has done this before. She will be fine. But we are going to go see her and take her some magazines and stuff and love on her a bit.

Then the pool. I would really like to stay home but Professor is not comfortable with all the boys by himself at the pool. hello.

So I will go...Then home to get some things done - I hope.

Hope you all have a good day!
Izzie - wishing you loads of energy and painless day sweety. OH how I wish I could come help. Although we would do more lauhing than work possibly.

Hugs to you all,
missy

Izzie --- so very, very happy to hear of your great news. I just had this very video here at the house (the full concert) and have been watching/listening nonstop for most of the week. Truly beautiful!

I'm glad you have great music to keep you company while you pack away a part of your past and look ahead to a whole new future.

Big HUGS to you, hun. You will soon be

Master of the House

Good day sweet folk! Is it my imagination, or is this thread to be critically praised as being bittersweet, "wholesome", yet emotion-laden reading?

I have noted that the posts conveyed a vivid authenticity of both historical time and cultural place, as well as an emotional verisimilitude regarding the portrayal of a certain type of family life rooted in that time and place.

I find myself expressing a degree of emotional identification with many aspects of the posts. Some my even considered the posts to be the epitome of the capacity for romantic, effective and moving storytelling in its evocation of childhood and its ability to tap into a deep desire for a mythicized community and family intimacy.

Who would criticized the stories for associating life with elevated moral values and neutralizing the social, economic and political upheavals of the times, behind a wall of tradition, goodness and good fortune? Well, not I

I find the Waltons way too sweet, sappily sentimental, and exploitative of readers emotions; its "homey wisdom and Sunday school platitudes have been known to make me gag - and long for more!

Have a wonderful day; and don't worry about me, I'm off at 6.

Oh hey BabyBlue

Gagging is a great reflex.... Razz (methinks a Dixie discussed this before!)

Who knew!

"Absence of the gag reflex is a symptom of a number of severe medical conditions, such as damage to the glossopharyngeal nerve, the vagus nerve, or brain death."

Oh - how happy is that - we can stop you from a truly awful injury with a pharyngeal reflex. COCO!!! Laughing

Hope the Blue World is being kind to you. Hope you have a great weekend and come back later when you hang up yer saddle Very Happy

After reading the two previous posts I have to keep it simple, just a good morning crew, how are you all? Getting my dictionary out to define gagging and the causes of it. Where is Dixie may be she can explain?
