Never finished the paining because I was side tracked with looking for work and selling stuff on ebay. It'll get done eventually Laughing

My son is here, but he's 20 and Mothers Day really doesn't mean much to him yet. I got my "Happy Mothers Day" and that's that. One day he'll appreciate me more, I hope Laughing No sweat, though. It's just another day.

No big plans today. I'm getting pictures taken for stuff I have to list on ebay tonight and then I'll most likely take a nap this afternoon sometime, then I'll list everything when I get up.

I'd much rather be headed to your place for water sliding and bubbles Very Happy

Wishing you a wonderful day.

Full Monty - I wish you could be here too and wash all the worries away with some water and bubbles - would be good a? in an ideal world Rolling Eyes Hope you get some joy with the ebay selling - I still have no idea how to sell something on ebay - really oughta figure it out I suppose - Tulip's good at that so may get her to show me. At the moment - all unused stuff is being boxed and taken to the charity shop - but I could really do with trying to sell some stuff too. We'll see. Have you had a date for interview yet? Keep positive girlie - you will get through. But I know it's tough right now. Hugging you. xox

No worries Izzie. I'll be just fine, so don't you worry your petty head about me. It's not my first rutt and I'm sure it won't be my last. No job news yet, but I do have a job at the lobster shop if nothing else comes through.

I was planning on starting a business on ebay, but I just didn't have the funding to go full blast with it and I wasn't about to create any more debts by taking a loan. I did a trial run and even though I love it, I can't make a living with it without more funds.

I saved my best stuff to make some $ right before Christmas, but since I need the $ now, up for auction they're going. I am very thankful that I held on to this stuff because it sure is getting me out of a bind at the moment. Phew!!!

It's so much easier now to list on ebay than it was years ago and I think you'd pick it up very quickly. Hey, why give stuff away when you can make a few bucks for yourself is how I figure it. When I had my businesses, I prefered to just give stuff away to friends in need, but I could afford to do it then. Whole different ballgame today. Jeeeeez, I hate being poor Laughing

Well, I figure that the world is full of people who are so very much worst off than I am, so I find a way to count my blessings everyday for what I do have. I have a roof over my head and I'm never hungry, so I consider myself one of the lucky people in the world :-D

I still need a job, though Shocked

Is having my Momma and the rest of the family "crew" over for later in the day. It's cold and rainy here. Ahhh well, it was forecast as such a few days ago, so my plans allowed for it. Anyhow, I got most everything done yesterday and this morning. So now I can sit and relax for a bit.

A song for all Momma's everywhere. Happy Mothers Day

I can honestly say that my own Mother is nothing but the purest of Angels. She has always guided me in her gentle ways. Not just growing up, but even now that I am on my own. She has without a doubt been the biggest influence in my life. Still is. Probably will always be. When I call her an Angel ..it's sort of funny, really. Not only is that how I see her, but so many people that have been blessed in knowing her, have called her an angel, also. She's just so darn sweet and kind to everyone. Her and my Dad still cuddle on the sofa. Still hold hands all the time. Don't care who's around when they want to share a kiss. My Dad is always coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her. They truly belong together. I love them, dearly. But since this is a day for Mothers, I found a picture of Mom and I when I was young.

Many times people will ask you to define love. This is as pure as love gets. As completely unconditional as all love should be.

Happy Mothers Day to you all and may you feel the depth of L O V E that you felt the first time you held your babies and may you be the Queen of your day.

Awww. Brooke-y. How cute! So glad you've come back around again today! I'm NOT studying on Mother's Day!
I couldn't possible read all of the posts from yesterday. My y'all have been busy yabbering! And a Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas, mamas to be (someday) and to those who have moms! A little something to firmly ensconce onto your beautiful queenly motherly heads today:
(Got one for each of you!)

Hope all are well!
Mon- sorry to hear of your down-in-the-dumps-ness. Sad Depression is a real bugger. Don't let it get you down, girl. (easier said than done, I know - dealt with it for years myself.) So glad to hear your son brought you a happy!
Got homemade chocolate-covered strawberries from my brood - a tradition since my now 14-yr-old was 2! My 9-yr-old made me a precious card and gift at school. Love those! Will be heading to mom-in-laws tonight for burgers. Poor thing, her memory's not so good, so we want to keep having time with her as long as time will allow!
Greetings to all I haven't greeted! I'll try to catch up tomorrow. Hope all of you have/had a great day. Very Happy

Simply awesome pictures, Izzie!

Thank each for your kind comments. I took the pic off for now. Might put it back after I make sure it's ok with her, since she's in it! Laughing

I don't know if I will make it back anymore today. By the time family leaves tonight, it might be kind of late and I really should get my face in my books and keep it there

Love ya all!

Oh look at all the great pics. I'm so glad you (Izzie), Tulip and the kids had such a great day. It made me smile all over the place :-D

Thank you Dev for your support. Knowing I have such special friends here, means more to me than you know.

Izzie, I was thrilled with the cupcakes and then he went out and did a complete tune up on my lawn tractor, which was stressing me because I can never get the oil bolt off to drain the oil. Made me one happy camper :-D

Tulip, thank you so much and a big Happy Mothers Day to you too.

Didn't get much sleep today and since I was up all night, I'll most likely be in bed early after I finish listing my ebay stuff.

So nice to see everyone have an awesome day. You all deserve it :-D
