Hi, all!
Please remind me occasionally not to eat cookies at my desk, leaving crumbs, when it's 95F outside and the nearby ants are hungry..

I hate ant bites, am somewhat allergic. Not completely horribly, but very annoyingly.

@ossobucotemp,
Just sprinkle some black pepper around the perimeter of your desk, it helps to repel those crumb seeking ants.

(the down side is the same pepper is known to keep dogs away as well)

Please allow me to come along side and say that this ship will never sink, it may just need steer itself in a different direction.

The captain will never abandon ship ....

Time passes
Things change
We walk in different directions
But...
We all have special memories
We all have pictures in our minds
We can all smile about the past
We can all still love those that once loved us.

This message may come from the past.... but it will certainly wish those a bright and cheery future

Our paths will join again... not today or tomorrow but one day they will for sure 💕

@FOUND SOUL,
The vacation finished some time ago but the crew are spread haphazardly across the globe - it's about time someone took charge and started making the Yabber-Liner shipshape again!

After almost ten years, 29,867 replies, 1, 494 pages and 1,037, 772 views, I find myself tearful with emotion, touched by Otto’s sentiment.

I look at page one of this voyage and at the names of the crew who have disembarked: Dutchy and JW; either one could have penned such feeling.

So I say: This story shall the good teach their children;
And from this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered – We few, we happy few, crew of brothers and sisters; And others shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here.
(Apologies to Will Shakespeare.)

It gives me great pleasure to report that Missy is doing well and promoting her delicious and nutritious range of convenient shakes.

Found Soul is I hope enjoying life and still in the Honeymoon phase – oh, and if you get the chance to hear her sing, I can assure you, you will be amazed.

Osso has many talents – but computer repairs are not one of them. However I do have one of her sayings on my wall – “He’s a fox in the henhouse”.

Stormy is a teacher of excellence and I hope she enjoys a fabulous summer in the cabin with her family.

Mz Izzie iz I understand assisting in medical research and her photography and art is highly prized in Europe – my thanks to the Pinkerton’s for the update.

I haven’t heard from Alex for a while, but as a fellow biker, I wish him good fortune and hope he’s riding an Indian.

I am sorry to say that I have lost touch with Rockey and tales from the farm. Likewise Barry the Mod from London Town, although I do hope he has recovered his health. And my dear friend Frenchy, who due to security fears put his château up for sale and I also worry about his two dogs – Prince and Otto.

Our dear host Roberto is now married to a beautiful girl – yes, a girl… surprised me too! And is also a drone pilot… when he can keep it up.

As for me: Fortune has me well in hand, armies wait at my command
My gold lies in a foreign land buried deep beneath the sand
The angels guide my ev'ry tread, my enemies are sick or dead
'cause I've used my talents as best I could, I've done some bad, I've done some good
I did a whole lot better than they thought I would so iffin’ y’all would like to join me in a raucous rendition of the old sea shanty:

Blow the Man Down…
Come all ye young fellows that follows the sea
To me, way hey, blow the man down
Now please pay attention and listen to me
Give me some time to blow the man down

How do you know she's a Yankee clipper?
The Stars and Stripes they fly above her
What do you think they'll have for dinner?
Hot water soup, but slightly thinner

Blow today, and blow tomorrow.

God bless this ship and all who sail with her and raise a cheer for the next ten years.

@Tryagain,
Thanks, Try, for the consolidation of lovely data.

Here and now, the thunderboomers just past, and I had to shut down after the computer tharn. On my computer, I'm a semi-master of it, after almost twelve years. But, it's going again, I think because of the red wine.

Be well, all.

@Tryagain,
Thank you Tryagain, again and again.
This vessel, these people, occupy spots in my heart.
It is Saturday evening, and I am in the process of winding down time off.
I have been well. Life goes up, and down. Too quickly.
Oh, many Indians ago...remind me to tell you the story of the two hour and forty minute thirty one degree fahrenheit bike ride.
Warm hellos to everyone.

Hi Alex, as Bruce said, you were born to run and I for one would love to hear the details of your bike trip and ‘just wrap your legs round these velvet rims and strap your legs 'round these velvet rims and strap your hands 'cross my engines…”

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is a well-known saying – but not iffin y’all are fructose-intolerant!

Apples contain sugars known as fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols (collectively known as Fodmaps).

So if you think Borborygmi is just another form of Origami – your idioms are ‘Barking up the wrong tree’.

Hello sweet peeps. Just sticking my head in to say hello. I am still selling my shakes as Try said. The twins are graduating in May - about to turn 18. My baby is about to turn 15 and is at the high school with me now. I am still working with my special ed kids and love every minute of it. Life is so different now than it was 10 years ago. I do miss you all and just wanted you to know I do think of each of you often.

My heart hurts when I think of Wandel and Dutchy. Precious people. I do miss Dutchy. So very much. As I miss each of you.

Life is so very, very fast.

Hugs to you all. Know that I do think of each of you.

@mismi,
I bet you're really good with those kids. You need a good heart and lots of patience and you've got both those qualities in spades.

@mismi,
Wonderful hearing from you mismi. Just as you are missing us, many here are missing having you around as much. Yup, life certainty does zip by quickly. What seems like a blink turns out to be a decade or two.

Be good to yourself.

@mismi,
So so. My dad's in hospital right now, but he's getting better, and hopefully will be out soon, but he is of that age.

Eldest on holiday in Brazil. Youngest, (same age as your twins,) at agricultural college. He's autistic, loves working with animals really does.

Before that he went to a Special ed school, the more able kids like him went on to further ed college, the rest stayed behind. He's still with kids like him, but there's no grabby ones. That's the only thing I couldn't be dealing with, the kids who keep grabbing hold of you. I really admire those who can. You're a better person than me. I could just about take an afternoon of being grabbed every half term but no more than that, I'd go spare.

@izzythepush,
Well...I have no personal space issues. Which is probably why it doesn't bother me. I don't really need a bubble when it comes to my kiddos. Smile

I LOVE that he gets to do that. Part of the problem here is the kids I work with can be hard to be placed once they turn 21. So transitioning them to a work environment can be tough. So thinking outside of the box is a blessing with many of them.

Glad your dad is doing better. My dad has been the same way. So hard when they reach this age.

Take care of yourself. Wink
