@vonny,
Good Evening Crew
First up - just to say that Danny is stable right now - ultrasound showed heart was not damaged - so hoping and praying the antibiotics will get a grip of the bloodbug. Spoke with Anna just a little while ago and thanks go to everyone who wrote and sent their good wishes - he was so delighted to get all the messages and read them with Anna. Special thanks to KP for getting them to him so quick - I do believe it makes a difference to him. Since seeing the grandchildren - he's found his smile... so, Danny Boy - keep breathing that O2 and feel the healing wishes from one and all.
Vonny - thank you for your thoughts - yep, it's been horrendous here.
(we have one night respite before tomorrow's storm hits us again which is going to last for 3 days of heavy rain - seriously, can there be any more rain).
We're fine and our river is managing to rise and fall nicely (loud, but not flooding); the house is quite a bit higher than the river so the garden would go under way before the house would feel any water, but the house is literally only a few feet away from quite a sheer drop to the river...so we gotta build up the "drop" which is being eroded away... it's held together with tree roots at the moment.
Gosh, the flooding and destruction is heartbreaking for so many - I count my blessings every day. We lost part of TC's tree last night (which is just gonna have to stay across the garden until a big-handed lumberjack can chop it up
) and the BBQ did a Dorothy and is no longer home... but other than that, I've been so, so fortunate. The roads are strewn with branches and so much water and power outtages all over the place.
Last night was theeee worst storm this year (as you know, it's been weeks and weeks and weeeeeeks of storms across the SW) and very little sleep with the noise of everything banging around out there. Those poor folk in Somerset - gosh. So sad. Our coast is totally decimated. I see those houses going into the sea and it's just heartbreaking... and Brunel's railway
- well, the Southwest now has no train out to the rest of the country for weeks, if not months.

However, it's amazing how you 'find' your community when things go wrong and there's always folk willing to help their neighbour. It may not be everyone's cuppa tea - but there's the silver lining.
Do hope you and the rest of our crew are faring well.
HEALING WISHES BOSUN!
Take care y'all, near and far x ((((Crew))))
