News of our Bosun


Danny is still in ICU, still has trach (not talking trach) and has quite a cough now as everything is breaking up and he has fluid on his lungs which lasted 3 days; he had a bad night last night - sadly this means putting a tube down his tube which is most uncomfortable

Improving slightly still
Writing down what he wants to know
Mentally doing better but still frustrated.


Michael coming down tomorrow fro PL to see his Dad so we're hoping this will be a big boost for Danny even though he has refused all visitors. Anna is hoping seeing Michael will make a difference and I'm sure it will.

Still reducing O2 a lot – lots of coughing so back on the O2 as and when he needs it.

He may be in there for the forseeable future - possibly until Easter.

He is understanding most of what’s going on (not timelines yet)

He wrote to her and asked her if shed been to pokies -so he's getting back some sense of normality - albeit good strange in the circusmtances he finds himself in.

Still asks where is he is and is he going home when he wakens.

There has been a very slight improvement so this is good to report.

Anna is doing well - still going each day and telling him he's not to give up - he still looks as though he's fighting for his life and will continue to do so. Heart is looking good.
